How to set clock to right,because it changes at every restart?

My MBpro is having issues with time.Though I set it ,it changes after every restart.

Delete the System Preference plist file and reboot.
Deleting the System Preference or other .plist file
make sure to set the time and date again and set it to update via Apple's time server in your time zone.
What happens is your settings are stored in that file by system preferences the file is corrupted so it's not saving them,.
deleting it and rebooting, starting system preferences will recreate the file blank.
That file is used to tell the firmware what time it is, so it's kept over when you reboot and not online to get the correct time.
If the machine has incorrect time, it won't connect properly to Wifi networks and other issues result too.

There is no way to automate this in the Acrobat SDK. If you need to automate Reader Enablement, you need another product – LiveCycle Reader Extension Server.

How to set clock skew property at client side when invoking web services

now we're using weblogic 11g, we want to set the clock skew properties.
in server side, we "Create a Web Service security" to set the "Clock Skew" property, change it value from 60000 to 120000, then we invoke the web service from stand-alone client on another machine, the clock skew between the server machine an client machine is 80000. but it still throw exception:
javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException: Message Created time past the current time even accounting for set clock skew+
at weblogic.wsee.jaxws.framework.jaxrpc.TubeFactory$JAXRPCTube.processResponse(TubeFactory.java:241)+
we think we still need set the clock skew at client side. in webloigc8.1 doc(http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs81/webserv/client.html), we find there's properties such as "weblogic.webservice.security.clock.precision" we can set in client side, but in weblogic 10.3 doc, we can't find these properties.

How to set clock on switch? (hardware calendar)

hi mates :)
anybody knows if I can set the clock based on hardware calendar? Please see how I tried and failed:

Time source is hardware calendar.
unfortunately the time switch shows is wrong (One hour faster). I tried to fix it with the command:
switch#clock set 04:00:00 17 Jun 2006
switch#copy running-config startup-config
switch#show clock

Time source is user configuration.
it worked until I re-started the switch. After the re-start, it showed the wrong time again (One hour faster again).
Is there any way to fix it and get the correct time even after re-start th switch?

I will agree that the best way to set the clock is via NTP. However, it is desireable and possible to update the hardware clock (when there is one). If there is a network failure, and your router or switch reboots, you will still want your time rightly set.

How to set the User rights to use DAQ/IMAQ in WinXP as general(=limited) user

When I install Software, written in LabVIEW (build an executable/installer), as administrator it works fine. But when I switch over to a user account with limited rights (we are talking about WinXP) it will not run and gives error messages. It happend to me at two almost the same computers, one with a DAQ-board, and one with an IMAQ-board. (At the computer with IMAQ1411 -> I also checked MAX -> errors/no access.) What to do?

I investigated the issue further. To work around this problem you should add write permissions to the C:\Program Files\National Instruments folder. Be sure that all subfolders and files are awarded write permission. This should solve your problems. eventually you could break it up to one file which must be set to write permission but by setting the whole folder to write permission you solve this problem for many other drivers to so you would not run into this everytime you use different hardware.

Based on your description, you are experiencing the problem when login on the Report Server remotely, you got some error about required for permissions, right?
Generally, Reporting Services uses role-based security to grant user access to a report server, and there are two types of roles: Item-level roles and System-level roles. On a new installation, only local administrators have access to a report server. If
the user need to have access to reports, folders, models and shared data sources, we can assign Item-level roles on the root node (the Home folder) or on specific folders or items. In this case, you can check if you have assigned an Item-level role first.

Start Internet Explorer together with the Run as administrator option. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, right-click Internet Explorer, and then click Run as administrator.
Open Report Manager. By default, the Report Manager URL is
http://<ServerName>/reports_sqlexpress. If you use a named instance of Reporting Services, the Report Manager URL is
http://<ServerName>/reports_<InstanceName>.
In the Home dialog box, click Properties.
Click New Role Assignment.

to do the right configuration on your remote computer:
Start Windows Internet Explorer.

Click Add.
Repeat step 4 and step 5 to add the http://localhost URL, and then click Close.
Close Report Manager and Use Internet Explorer without the Run as administrator option to reopen Report Manager.

CRMD_ORDER: how to set default values for Requester and Change Manager

Hello Folks,
how do I set default values in TA crmd_order?
I drew my organizational hierarchy using TAs bp and ppoma_crm.
When a new Change Request (e. g. SDHF) is created, I want the four roles (Requester, Change Manager, IT Operator and Developer) to be set automatically, not manually.
Both Requester (= Key User) and Change Manager are derivable. I did not find anything in SPRO neither in the OSS neither here.
Points will be rewarded as a matter of course!

Hi Dirk,
look for Define Access Sequence & Define Partner Determination Procedure in SPRO and read the IMG Activity Documentation. You can find it in the Service Desk config, but it works for the other transaction types too.
Basically, you create Access Sequences where you tell the Partner Determination Procedure where to look for the values for the Partner Function fields.
The Access Sequence can use lots of sources for the information, including your org structure.

I'm having a problem with displaying folder sizes in the finder, I open my applications folder, centre it, stretch it to display how I like, use the view options for icon size, spacing etc; great, just how I like it.
Trouble is, when I next open the folder it is centred but much smaller! Is threre a way to keep it as I want?

Security - How to set up auto email on IP change for stolen unit recovery

I know most smart thieves will not put a system online until they have control of it, but for those who don't...
Can anyone point me to a script that would email our office when the IP changes in the background? It would really help as we have had a rash of systems stolen at our location.

I've been meaning to write up something like this myself as our company routinely sends a dozen or so iBooks out to labs at trade shows. What I'm planning is basically to poll the ethernet MAC address of the current gateway and use curl to load a page on our website with the machine's info in the query string if this changes to one that is unrecognized. This page could also email someone. If the page doesn't exist, the request should still at least be logged as a 404 along with the query string. I'm tempted to actually try to serve and execute a shell script, if stolen, but that's a little like running with scissors. Another option is to take snap shot via iSight, if you've got one. There was recently some discussion regarding this at macosxhints.com.
There's also commercial software for recovering stolen computers. This is probably the most practical solution, but not as fun!

How efective set price to purchase order

I have created purchase order with 600 lines where isnt set price for each item.
Now I want through UI API set the correct price to each price cell in row based on width and height of item. Now Im going through all lines in matrix, get dimensions, calculate the price, click on the specific cell with blank price in matrix and through SendKeys Im sending the price - till now its everything ok.
The problem is, when I go on next line and emulate click to next cell, the sap calculates the total price and when is there hundreds of items in order, its too slow. When is there less items, its acceptable, but for hundreds of records isnt useable.
So my question is:
Is there any possibility how to set that sap will not recalculate the total and after setting each price call some function, which will the total price correctly recalculate?
or
Is there any other way how to set price with UI (because user want to check it before upodate) which is quicker?

Hi Petr,
The UI unfortunately is always going to be really slow for this type of update. If the user needs to see the values, I think I'd create a separate screen that shows only the PO header and line fields that you need to show to the user for updating pricing. Because it's a user form you've got more control on what gets triggered when the user tabs out of a field. You can then use the DI API to update the PO when the user clicks on Update.
Is there any scope to break the PO down to a number of smaller POs? I always recommend to my clients to keep the number of rows below 100 and preferably below 50 because performance can really degrade after that.

Right...you can't set it with a button. You have to change the label field to something *other* than any of the five current labels. So you can do that manually or you can change sets, set it, and change back. Try going over to the label field in the metadata panel and typing in "other" or anything other than any of the five current names in the label set you have active.

How to set up USB Audio

The package says OS 10 compliant but there are nothing looking like mac drivers on the CD. I plug it into the ibook and all lights up, seems to work and there are some sporadic crackling noises I can input and play through the speakers but I can't seem to figure out how to set it up right. Since I can't speak Japanese, emailing the manufacturer isn't getting me far.
Are there any generic USB audio control drivers I can download?

If it's a 'class compliant' audio device, it doesn't need any additional drivers to work in OS X.
Open the 'Audio MIDI Setup' program, and set the appropriate speeds, etc, and whether you want this device to be the default audio device. It should just work.

900 photos on iPhone, 2000 photos read by iTunes. How to set this right so it wouldn't eat up my storage?

I have 900 photos on my iPhone currently, but iTunes reads it as 2000 photos eventhough I've already transferred and deleted my previous photos (w/c did amount to 2k before). It's eating up 4.91 GB of my storage, and I don't know how to set it right. I want to add music and update my iOS, but it tells me I can't because my "4.91 GB" worth of photos is eating up my storage. Please help. Thanks.
