I am creating a new production database and I am new TO Database, I have 500 users.
How should i set SGA size , is there any metalink ID or any clues.

Take a 10Mb per user to start with ( some kind of rule I use to use )
You can only start tuning the memory later on, when the database is under load.

How to change COMPATIBLE parameter while creating the database using DBCA
I have installed 10.2.01.0 on centos 4.7
Now i want to create database with COMAPTIBLE parameter 9.2.0.1
I m trying to create database through DBCA, changed the initialization parameter COMAPTIBLE to 9.2.0.1.
But gives me error

After creating the database with COMAPTIBLE parameter 10.2.0.1.0 changed that parameter in init.ora file to 9.2.0 and start the database.
But at that time getting

I am using FM's BAPI_BATCH_CREATE/CHANGE while creating/changing batch I have to maintain classification data aswell.But in FM docu i saw as shown below
1.Create the classification of a batch in the background (object characteristics only)
2. If the batch is to be classified, you must specify a class in the BatchControlFields parameter. Only single classification is possible.
According to above statments I have passed class name in Batch Control Fields but I am unable to find " How to pass classification characteristics while creating batch". Please tell me how to pass classification characteristics in background?

But first, you'll need to find out that the batch management is cross-plant or plant dependant.
If it is cross plant then plant(WERKS) is not part of the key to BAPI_OBJCL_CONCATENATEKEY.

--when i give local machine path then it will create at local machine where oracle is installed. but not able to create at other machine.
ZakirWell for starters your directory object is called TESTDIR and in your fopen statement you are referring to TEST2DIR.
On top of that I'm not sure oracle is happy to refer to network locations. I think you have to map it to a regular drive mapping (shared directory) type path. Can't say I've every tried to do it though. -

a) Function Exit EXIT_SAPMF02H_001 available within the SMOD enhancement SAPMF02H
b) P/S BTE 00002310 (Master Record G/L Account: Save)
The logic would be to identify if G/L Accounts with same Short/Long Texts already exist in the Company Code.

How to set the parameter selection *optional* for each subreport?
Hi,
I am using Crystal Reprots 11.
I create 10 subreports, and each subreport contains a Parameters Field.
The 10 subreports are put in 10 footer sections in increasing order, i.e. subreport1, subreport2, subreport3, ..., subreport10.
When I use "Print Preview" to take a look at the whole report, CR prompts a "Edit Values" window for selecting parameter values for all 10 subreports.
For example, if I only select parameter values for subreport1 and click "OK", 9 error messages on the "Edit Values" window come out above the selection list box of every other subreports (i.e. subreport2 ~ subreport10) showing that: 'The value is not valid'.
Sometimes, I just want to review some specific subreports but not all.
How should I do to set the parameter selection optional (not mandatory) for each subreport?

Here's how you can make the prompts optional (Assuming you're using CR 2008 or higher):
1) Go into each subreport
2) You should see the parameter in the Field Explorer. Right-click the name and select Edit > Look for an option called 'Optional Prompt'. Set it to true
3) If you have a record selection in the subreport, then you need to modify the selection formula to something like this:
if not(hasvalue({?Parameter_Name})) then True else = {?Parameter_Name}

Test connection is successful with AIX server , I can successfully create a user on AIX server, with defualt password.
I am not passing the any password value still some default value is being populated for the user...
In AIX while creating the user , use get force to set the password...
But while configuring the schema for AIX adapter ...if password attribute is given then it will give the error
as invalid attribute...while creating a user if password value pass...

thanks ..The default password might be the IdM account password of the user you are trying to provision. You don;t need to keep password in the resource schema. Just set password.password and password.confirmPassword and select AIX resource for password reset. Check the workflow-form-views document for more information on password view.

Could not understand your problem exactly. DId you try adding bind variables in the query like below:

VinayYou can set credentials only for those targets whish are registered in GRID and are visible in console.
hosts must be already registered and visible in console.. and they must appear in hosts list...
Once they are visible, then follow the steps to set credentials and there you will find the host name..
