How to set the iterator on a particular row by a value?

Hi all,
What I'm trying to do is:
Duplicate a row by a database function and setting the iterator on the duplicated row.
The first part works fine, but I've got no idea on how to set the iterator on the new row.
The function returns the primary key for the new row.
Has anybody got an idea how to find out where the new row is inserted into the iterator?
Thanks alot in advance
Sebastian Lorenz

Take a look at the documentation. You should be able to build a complex key as an array of the key values.
Key public Key(java.lang.Object[] keyValues)Constructs a Key from a set of key values.
A key may be constructed to identify a row or a set of rows. If it is to identify a unique row, the key values must match the row's key attributes exactly.
A partial key (where some key values are null) may be used to locate a set of partially matching rows. This is applicable only for oracle.jbo.RowIterator's findByKey(Key) method. See oracle.jbo.RowIterator.findByKey(Key) for details.
The key values should be ordered as in the defintion for the given row (that of the Entity or the View Object).
Parameters:keyValues - an array of key values.
Hope this helps

    Hi all
    I have a af:selectOneChoice component bound to Iterator(DCIteratorBinding)
    I want to set the value of the af:selectOneChoice to specific value, I want to do so by setting the current row of the iterator to the value I want
    for example the iterator contains objects of class Dept which has two attributes deptno and deptName
    how can I set the Iterator to point at department with deptno=30, because the iterator deals only with keys

    do you mean setting a default value? If so, look at Re: Using af:selectOneChoice value in Router's case

  • How to set fire action event for particular rows in a table

    HI All,
    I have a requirement in which I want to set fire action event for particular rows in a table based on some condition.
    The table has columns like fullname,employee id etc.
    So i want to set fire action event for particulars rows only which will saisfy some condition.

    Atanu,
    Your approach(setting fire action for few rows) seems not possible. Better to go ahead with workaround.
    Do you want this functionality in processRequest(while page loading) or processFromRequest(on some event) method ? Give more explanation regd. your requirement ?
    In either case loop through the rows and when your condition is met write the action to be performed in controller.

  • HCM F&P - How to set the field as Required based on drop down values

    Hi Experts,
    I have a requirement to set the Date field as mandatory when a particular value is selected in drop down list. I have already tried with MessageBox though it displays the error message but process moves further i.e. on clicking Check & Send button it throws an error message but still it moves further and i can see only Send button. Ideally it should halt there itself.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Jitesh Talreja

    Thanks for your valuable inputs
    Chintan
    I have already tried this. It only highlight the field with the red border but still allow to move further.
    Mukesh
    Yes, we can definately control this from the backend but that would be the last option i should execute. Ideally, this is something to be controlled in front end itself
    Poornima
    By setting the field attrbiute Required will set the field mandatory as a whole irrespective of drop down values or any other UI element.

  • How to make the picker highlight some particular row when the Picker View appears on the screen ?

    Hi,
          I am using a UIPickerView to implement a picker with a list of names. Now when the Picker View loads and when the picker is displayed on the screen, the picker normally highlights the starting row. But I want it to highlight some other row apart from the one which loads by default. How do I do this. Lets say for example I have a picker populated with the names Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. Now when the picker appears on the screen it would have normally highlighted Monday since its the first element in the picker. But I want it to highlight Thursday. How do I customize my picker to do just this.
    Thanks
    bnas.

    For each characteristics in the query designer, right-click and go to properties....
    then in the 'Display of Results' section in the 'Suppress Result Rows' option, select: "Always".
    This will suppress the result rows.
    Good luck,

    How to set the timezone in a DATE datetype?

    10.5 Date, Time, and Timestamp
    The JDBC API follows the Java platform's approach of representing dates and times as a millisecond value relative to January 1, 1970 00:00:00 GMT. Since most databases don't support the notion of a time zone, the JDBC 2.0 API adds new methods to allow a JDBC driver to get/set Date, Time, and Timestamp values for a particular time zone using a Calendar. For example,
    ResultSet rs;
    Date date1 = rs.getDate(1);
    returns a Date object that wraps a millisecond value which denotes a particular date, like January 3, 1999, and a normalized time 00:00:00 in the default time zone. The time component of the Date is set to zero in the default time zone since SQL DATE values don't have a time component. Since a Calendar was not supplied explicitly to getDate() , the default time zone (really the default Calendar) is used by the JDBC driver internally to create the appropriate millisecond value assuming that the underlying database doesn't store time zone information.
    The following example retrieves a date value in GMT-Greenwich Mean Time.
    ResultSet rs;
    TimeZone.setDefault(TimeZone.getTimeZone("GMT"));
    Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance();
    Date date2 = rs.getDate(1, cal);
    In the example above, a Calendar is passed explicitly to getDate() to inform the JDBC driver how to calculate the appropriate millisecond value. Note that the same result could have been achieved by simply changing the default time zone, and not passing the Calendar explicitly since the JDBC driver will use the default time zone by default.
    Note that the two Date objects created above will not compare as equal assuming that the default time zone is not GMT, even if they represent the `same' date.
    if (date1.equals(date2))
    //never get here
    This is because each Java language Date object really just wraps a normalized millisecond time value and these millisecond values will differ across time zones. If an application wishes to compare dates in different time zones it should first convert them to a Calendar.
    An application should create a Date object using a Calendar. The application is responsible for specifying the time as 00:00:00 on the desired date when using the Calendar since JDBC uses this convention. In addition when creating a Time value the application must specify a date of January 1, 1970 to the Calendar used to create the millisecond value for the Time as this is the convention specified by JDBC for time.

  • How to set the username in PeopleEditor programmatically

    Hi ,
    How to set the user name in people picker entity programmatically.
    I have tried this:
    <sp:PeopleEditor ID="sppcustom" runat="server" AllowEmpty="false" MultiSelect="false" SelectionSet="User" />
    In the webpart cs code:
    PeopleEditor sppcustom = new PeopleEditor();
    sppcustom.CommaSeparatedAccounts = "domain" + "\\" + userFullname;
    The code is executing fine without error, however the username is not shown in the peopleeditor.
    When the name is added, i am getting the error "No exact match was found. Click the item(s) that did not resolve for more options.".
    However the username is a valid one. i tried the validate code also and the username was validated.
    How to fix this?
    Thanks

    You can set the display name of the particular user
    sppcustom.CommaSeparatedAccounts = userFullname.Name;
    if userFullname is SPUser

  • How to set the REPORTS_DEFAULT_DISPLAY

    how to set the REPORTS_DEFAULT_DISPLAY

    However, as I believe is expected, OS X (and Windows for that matter) will create files by default with character encoding of Cp1252 (Latin-1). That is, the FILE encoding in the file metadata - the Byte Order Mark I believe. The file itself, not the characters written to it.
    Apps like TextEdit and Mail have settings that let you determine the encoding of text produced. The default would normally depend on the character content of the file, ranging from ASCII for basic English to Windows Latin-1 (Win 1252) or ISO Latin -1 (ISO 8859-1) to UTF-8 for other content.
    Win 1252 is not ASCII, but has twice the number of characters in the latter.
    Byte Order Mark is something totally different --it's a particular character used to signal certain encodings.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byteordermark
    As a simple example, just `touch somefile` from terminal creates a file in Cp1252 -- I'm obtaining that info by opening in jEdit by the way (anyone know of something better?).
    For what Terminal does and how to change it, it might best to post in the Unix forum:
    http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=735
    For problems with a FireFox plugin, it might be good to ask on their own forums as well.

  • How to set the table input in Query template?

    Hi all.
    I need to call a Bapi_objcl_change, with import parameter and a table as an input. I have done this, in BLS. I have set the table input in the
    form of xml. In BLS, I get the output(the value gets change in SAP R3, what i have given in BLS).  But if i set the same xml structure  in
    query template, I didn't get the output. Table input parameter does not take that xml source.  How to set the table input in Query template?
    can anyone help me?
    Regards,
    Hemalatha

    Hema,
    You probably need to XML encode the data so that it will pass properly and then xmldecode() it to set the BAPI input value.

  • SRM 4.0- How to set the default values for product type (01) only for SC

    The radio button “Service” should not be visible.
    Also for search help (e.g. search for internal products) where a search should only be possible for product type 01 (goods). The system should not display the product type and internally always search for goods only.
    How to set the default values for product type (01) only for SC
    We needs to use Search help BBPH_PRODUCT which having parameter PRODUCT_TYPE
    Here we can set defalut value 01 but it is not correct one since same search help is using several places.
    We need to limit the search help results only for SC.
    Kindly help out me ASAP.

    The easiest way to set defautl values is to edit the batch class.
    Goto the characteiristic and go to update values.
    In here you probably have something like 0 - 100 as a spec range.
    On the next line enter the default value within this range.  At the end of the line, click in the box in the column labelled "D".  This indicates the defautl value for the characteristic.
    If you need to you can do this in the material classification view as well.
    Just to be clear, these values will only show up in the batch record.  You can not have defautl values in resutls recording screens.
