How to set up trusted system or ip in NW CE 7.1

Hi all,
I am running on NW CE 7.1, and I want to know if NW allows setting up trusted system or ip. If so, is there any documentation about it?

what do you mean by "trusted system"?
For instance, you can use the CE as a producer in your EP 7.0 consumer portal with SSO. You exchange server certificates and so create a trust between these 2 servers. This is also be possible between CE and ABAP (CE is consuming an ABAP service).
To do so, it's the standard process: export the certificate of CE and import it into the target system

When i execute my code some special character are not being display correct so by programming approach i am trying to set "file.encoding" system property to "UTF-8", using command System.setProperty( "file.encoding", "UTF-8" ); and it is not working.
If i run my jar using command java -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -jar myprog.jar . It is working and my special characters are also looking in right way.

I have the same problem. I have a java prog that is started with "-Dfile.encoding=ISO-8859-1". Now in this program I want to print some characters using the UTF-8 encoding because I know that the terminal I will be printing on has this encoding. I tried using InputStramReader without success:
    InputStreamReader isr = new InputStreamReader(new ByteArrayInputStream("Müller".getBytes()), "UTF-8");
    BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(isr);
    String line = null;
    while ((line = br.readLine()) != null) {
        System.out.println(line);

the above example is to read something into my java program. If I want to write something from my java class to an output it goes like this:
Writer out = new BufferedWriter(new OutputStreamWriter(System.out, "UTF8"));
out.write("Müller\n");
out.flush();... in that case I get the correct encoding.

According to the EJB 2.0 spec., section 19.8.1.1, second paragraph: "EJB containers are required to provide deployers or administrators with the tools to configure trust relationships with intermediate web or EJB containers."
What tools/methods are available for OC4J?
To give my question some context:
I'm trying to set up things so that I have Tomcat (4.1.x) as a servlet container and OC4J (9.0.3) as an EJB container. I wan't Tomcat to authenticate users (using it's JDNI (LDAP) realm, and then have it forward a javax.security.Principal representing the user, when invoking EJB's on OC4J from servlets. One task in that is to make the OC4J instance trust the Tomcat instance, so that OC4J accepts a principal sent from Tomcat as already authenticated.
I've been unable to find any docs on this subject.
Any help appreciated.

Christian -- Setting up the trust relationship is described in interoperability section of the OC4J v903 Services Guide. I would probably start there.

I've seen some web sites which state that you can set the "system wallpaper". After doing so, then things like the phone dialer has a colored background instead of plain white. Where do you set the system wallpaper?

I guess you're referring to this:
The system wallpaper also colors the passcod keypad, while contact photos are the background of a phone call in the Phone app.
What that means is that whatever wallpaper you've selected will affect the background in certain apps. It will be very blurred but the colors will show through. The quote is talking about the background while you are on a call, not the dial pad.

Hi Marc,
go to transaction STRUSTSSO2, generate a certificate for your system, then add it to certicate list and to ACL for your client.
There will probabely be several parameters to set in instance profile if you plan to use SSO.

I just bought a 19" monitor, and finally, got my resolution up from 800x600 to find out that i cant get to increse the xterm, Eterm, Firefox, Thunderbird, Gaim and everything to have an acceptable font size...
I mean, is there a way to set the whole system font to some minimal size?
I know how to change in almost every app (have to see if they can remember it, but thats just checking) but there are some i dont... xterm for example...ive looked at the man page, but there are so many options (just with the font subject, i do use several of the other flags) that i couldnt find the one i wanted, just to increase the font size... in Eterm there are 4 pre-set sizes, although i would like to increse it a bit more...
I use Enlightenment, so i dont have any Gnome/KDE control center to do anything...
As usual, any tips are welcome!

I can't provide much help but I can give you a hint: change the DPI globally with... one sec... xfce has some sort of script for settings the DPI globally...
This is the part where the DPI is set
# Those are my settings, change them as appropriate...

# Xft hinting: 1/0
xrdb -nocpp -merge - << EOF

You might run the command with another DPI setting...
xrdb can be found in /usr/X11R6/bin.
Once again, this is just a thought, I don't know how successful this change will be. Good luck.

How do you set up your system to compile servlets?

I can't compile my servlets. I need the javax.servlet packages. I went to java.sun.com/products/servlet but couldn't find the servlet SDK. Is it now all wrapped up in the J2EE SDK?
So I downloaded the J2EE beast and put j2ee.jar in my C:\JDK1.3\jre\lib\ext. Now I can compile my servlets fine from the command line. But now Tomcat doesn't work at all. Even when I try to run the servlets that are supplied in the examples with Tomcat, I get the following errors:

These errors disappear if I remove j2ee.jar
So, how shoudl I configure my system so taht I can run Tomcat and also compile my servlets from the command line ? Also, do I really have to keep restarting Tomcat each time I want to reload a servlet ?

To set up Tomcat, here's what I'd do.
1) Remove j2ee.jar from C:\JDK1.3\jre\lib\ext
That will cause more headaches than you can imagine.
2) Add servlet.jar to your classpath. Servlet.jar is located in lib under your tomcat directory. ( so, something like C:\jakarta-tomcat\lib\servlet.jar )
3) Make sure that you have your JAVA_HOME environment variable set to C:\JDK1.3. If this is not set up correctly then you will get the error: sun/tools/javac/Main not found...

Suppose we have already entered the details of the applicant for a job and after a period of time he would again apply, so how can system will validate that we have already his information and shouldnt allow maintain any data.
Otherthan running a report and checking in the system, is there any work around for this, like having the email id which should be not used for more than one user........

Thanks for suggestions. In PB10 have you ever tried that will be working as a check...former employee button is for connecting to the employee details who have already left.
So here in this case suppose an employee have applied and we process him and then put him on hold.
So he is not shortlisted for the interview itself...after an year again he will apply for some other position that time system should stop us from maintaing his intial data..
I believe puts across my requirement clearly...

How do I set up my system so that I can program in C,C ? Without using Xcode. Just want to write simple "hello, world" stuff. So far, my Mac seem oblivious to my efforts even though it seems that all the files are there.
At first, it could not find gcc. Then I added /Developer/usr/bin to the path and it seemed to find gcc.
Then it didn't find stdio.h. I added /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.6.sdk/usr/include/ to the path but it still doesn't find stdio.h
There must be a standard C setup that my Mac is not conformaing to. How can I get set up like a regular Unix system and do C programming like I used to?

None of the responses/experiences seems to apply to me. Let me ask the question this way, because it's partly for my education and also I'd like to program in C. Let's say I have a Unix box and I want to program in C. What files need to be where in what directories? And why wouldn't that work on a Mac? My impression is that the Mac OS X 10.8 contains all I need, but it doesn't work. At least I don't think it does. I may be out in left field here. But surely, being a Unix box, I can get this machine to compile C code in something like the usual fashion. I don't need editors or development environments beyond the basic stuff - unless your telling me maybe I do! Anyway, just wondering what files need to go where in order to compile C programs. Thanks for you forbearance. I appreciate it.
