How to set up wifi and cellular for messaging

My family has just purchased two iPhone 5Ss -- our first smartphones. When we message, sometimes we're message someone on an iPhone, but some of our friends have non-Apple devices. Yesterday, I was sending a group message to 3 people -- one on an iPhone and two on other devices. Wifi was on; cellular was off. The message failed to send until I turned cellular on. I would like to leave cellular off when I'm at home. Is there some combination of settings that will let messaging always work, no matter what the phone on the other end, with cellular off?

Messages between iOS devices can be sent through wifi.
If you're sending a group message and ANY member of the group has a different type of phone, the message will be sent as SMS or MMS, which require cellular service.
You (and all of your contacts) would have to switch to a different messaging app, such as Whatsapp, in order for you to achieve what you want.

Just received iPad2 and don't understand setting up WiFi and Cellular connections. When I turn it on it shows some bars and AT

When I turn iPad2 on it shows some bars and AT&T in the top upper left corner of screen. Does this mean I am connected to AT&T cellular service? I have not signed up for AT&T service yet. I have a Wifi connection at home and have been trying to connect to it, but I am not sure I have been successful since AT&T is howing in the left side of screen. If I ap Settings, Wi-FI the screen shows my home wifi connection with a check mark beside it. Is Wi-Fi connected? If not, how do I connect. When I first tried, after tap on my home Wi-Fi identity I got another screen asking for details on the connection that I didn't have any idea of. When I went to the game center I was asked for password for Wi-Fi which I entered, but Wi-Fi identity never showed up anywhere in the top of the screen. So, I don't know what type of connection I have going and it appears that the AT&T connection is always on. That'snot what I want. I would mostly use Wi-Fi and only AT7T when away from home base.
Appreciate any help and sorry for such a basic question. this is my first Apple device.

I created one request with logo in the header an page in the footer etc. and called StyleSheet. After you can import this formats by each request.
You can do this in compound layout.

How to set password complexity and expiration for ClearPass admin users

Requirement:
As a server admin, i wish to set complexity for my ClearPass admin (management login) password and also as per company policy wish to set password expiration. This document explains how it can be achieved.
Solution:
From ClearPass 6.5.0 a new Password Policy Settings form was added for both local users and admin users.
Configuration:
To use this option, go to either Administration > Users and Privileges > Admin Users > Password Policy or Configuration > Identity > Local Users > Password Policy. Options that can be configured for the password include length, complexity, disallowed characters, disallowed words, disallowed user ID or repeated characters, and the number of days to expiration.

In Password Policy updated the password complexity as following (atleast one uppercase and one lowercase letter and 3 as disallowed character). Also set the Password expiration to 5 days.
After that tried to reset the admin password with character 3 and got an error as following

or Submit concurrent request: CP SQL*Plus Expire FND_USER Passwords
This script sets the fnd_user.password_date to null for all users which causes all user passwords to expire.The user will need to create a new password upon the next login.

How to set up DHCP and NAT for QNAP NAS MyCloud service?

I have an Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS) attached to my DSL model (no router in the modem). My QNAP NAS is attached via ethernet to the QNAP NAS. My iMac (running AirPort Utility 6.x) is connected to the AEBS via wifi.
I've found several folks who've tried this (and apparently succeeded) but I'm a networking novice and am having trouble making this work. What I did was to go into the AirPort utility and in the networking section configure "DHCP and NAT" and then called out the static IP and MAC address of the QNAP NAS (as well as the ports I'd like to remain open). However, when I did this and applied the changes, my iMac (connected to the AEBS via wifi) could no longer see the AEBS, which then required me to reset the AEBS, re-configure it back to the previous known good conifiguration and start over. After about 5 cycles of this I gave up.
So, what am I doing wrong here? Do I need to go in and configure every device that is going to access the AEBS as static and call out each device's IP and MAC address? (hopefully not, that'd be a major PITA).
Help. Anyone?

The name and the id of the Iframe is generated dynamically as shown in this example (final html generated):

Until the MacBook Air was released and supported in 10.5, the Mac did not consider USB to be a valid Networking Protocol. So set the Mac with USB solutions aside.
To connect computer-to-computer, you typically need to be using an Ethernet crossover cable. Assigning the same address to two Ethernet devices is never the solution -- it gives a Network Conflict, just as you said.
If your Windows box has some mechanism for Sharing its WiFi connection over Ethernet, you would have to follow its rules. Whether that means Manually assigning an Ethernet Address in the same range or the PC will provide the Address, I do not know.
Best success may be running an Ethernet cable to your Wired/Wireless Base Station, or using a "gaming adapter" (Ethernet-to-Wireless no drivers required) connected to the Mac's Ethernet port to give it WiFi access. What is your Base Station {Cable, DSL, FIOS, Other} ? Ethernet cables can be up to 100 meters (an American Football Field). Often the Base Station can be moved closer for more convenience.

If you have the first generation tablet which uses Wi-Fi only, it cannot be altered to use mobile networks.
The ability to use mobile network and Wi-Fi was introduced to the second generation tablet. You would need to purchase it to have this ability.

N8; How to set up SIP and make (WiFI & 3G)VOIP cal...

N8 only comes with SIP software and you need to download the the VoIP setting software at this link (use VoIP 3.1):

You can use the N8 web browser and load directly from the site to the phone.
then go to:
Menu>settings>connectivity>Admin.Settings>SIP settings
option>New SIP Profile>use default profile.
This window needs to be configured with your VoIP provider setting which may be found on their site or just do a search. I used the settings from my previous phone. I have Gizmo VoIP and will be using the setting for this service as an example to set up Wifi and 3G SIP setting
Profile Name> Gizmo, (assign the name of your provider e.g.. Gizmo, Google talk, etc)
Service profile> IETF
Default Destination> WiFi
Public username: sip:[email protected] (Input your VoIP provider info)
Use compression> No
Registration> When needed
Use security> No
Then goto Proxy server:
Proxy server address> siproxy01.sipphone.com (use your provider proxy address setting)
Realm> proxy01.sipphone.com (use your provider setting)
Username> (use your username)
Password> (enter your password0
Allow loose routing> Yes
Transport type> UDP
Port> 5060
Go back and then go to Registrar server:
Registrar server address> siproxy01.sipphone.com (use your provider Registrar setting)
Real> proxy01.sipphone.com (use your provider setting)
Username> (use your username)
Password> (enter password)
Transport type> UDP
Port> 5060
Again folks above is just an example. You must use your provider settings.
Then when you are done go back to:
Admin setting> Net setting>Advance VoIP setting>Create new service> choose the SIP profile shown, e.g. Gizmo
This will configure the VoIP setting with the particular SIP profile. It will also add a SIP Tel profile Pane in your Contacts folder, Internet call option to the contacts list and Phone log.
Now go to the SIP pane in Contacts folder, sign in and then make a test call . To make a SIP call just go to a contact and choose Internet call. If you configured everything correctly, it should work and you are done.
For 3G connection, follow above direction and create new SIP profile with new name (e.g. Gizmo (3G). All settings are same except:
Default destination>Internet
Then set up the VoIP setting with the new SIP profile by going to:
Admin setting>Net setting>Advance VoIP settings>Create new service> Choose the SIP profile you just configured e.g. Gizmo (3G)
Then:
Admin setting>Net setting>Advance VoIP settings>VoIP service>choose the 3G SIP profile, e.g. Gizmo (3G)>Profile setting>>>>>
Go down to AWCDMA> set it to "on"
Exit out of everything. Go to SIP (3G) pane in the Contacts folder. Sign in and make test call.
I have configured many Mobile phones and found the N8 somewhat touchy. But, the sound quality on Gizmo VoIP using both WiFi and 3G was great, no echo or any problems.
Useful hints:
If it does not connect or make a call, you need to check the SIP setting for any error. If you find any problem there, you must first remove the SIP profile in the Net setting. Then go to the SIP setting and correct the problem. Double check everyting, go back to Net setting>Advance VoIP setting>Create new service and add the SIP profile. The reason is that when you Configure a VoIP setting with a SIP profile, the SIP info is permanently loaded and will not change even if you make any change in the SIP profile. So any time you change anything in the SIP profile (even the password) you always need to remove, make correction and then reload the corrected SIP profile to the VoIP setting.
There are also few Mobile service providers who have blocked VoIP on their data network service. So, just check with your service provider. In US both AT&T and TMobile have open network for VoIP.

I have tried to set up VOIP but still facing a problem or 2 so please assist me.
I have an active account via VoipCheap.com with a profile name and password and it is verified.
1/ When I look in Admin Settings / Sip Settings it shows VoipCheap with "not registered" under it..why?

In Contacts I have a VoipCheap tab with the icon for internet calling and it says
Sign in (example)
but when I click on this it shows connecting (via my internet connection) but hangs there - it does not seem to connect............

What roaming charges? If you have a local plan there are no roaming charges. This is a major reason for using a local plan.
Contact, or visit the website, whatever local provider you are considering and get their plan details.

Yes you can. All Ipad's are unlocked and can be used any where in the world. Buy the AT&T version which is GSM in other countries
