How to set word Graph X axis coordinates location

I use the Report Generation tools to insert a Graph Plotting displayed on the Word , the following chart (1)
Problems :How to put down X axis coordinates of the following, from Report Generation were no related tools, not aware of any other method, the manual only know that the plan is as follows (2)

Hi, fong_ui:
There is a VI named
"Word_set_scale.vi"
inside
..\National instruments xxx\VI.LIB\ADDONS\_OFFICE\_WORDSUB.LLB
That is called to set the scale of a chart.
If you open it, you will see that only "minimumscale" and "maximumscale" are set.
You can add another property, named "CrossesAt" and set it's value to "minimumscale"
Notice that if you change and save this VI you will be modifying ReportGenerationToolkit, so every VI that call to "Word_set_scale.vi" will follow the modified version.
Hope it helps,
Aitortxo.

  • How to set the 4th Y axis color for a line graph

    Hello experts,
I have developed a multiple y axis line graph using oracle reports 10g.
It has got 1 x axis and 4 axes. I am able to set the color of the the first three y axes
but the reports designer automatically assigns yellow color to the 4th axis.
I mean there is no option in the graph wizard for changing the 4th color)
How to change the color of this 4th y axis to a desired color?
    Cheers
    Sri

Assuming you mean that your graph has 4 series, not 4 Y axes, you might try something like this:
    1. Save a backup copy of your current report in case the changes you are about to make don't work out and you want to revert to the backup copy.
    2. Using the Property Inspector, display the current value of the Graph Settings property for your graph. The value of the property should be something like:
    <rw:graph id...
</rw:graph>3. Look for a <SeriesItems> tag and a matching </SeriesItems> tag in the property value. If you don't find them, add the following two lines immediately before the </Graph> tag.
    <SeriesItems>
</SeriesItems>4. Between the <SeriesItems> tag and the matching </SeriesItems> tag, add (or update) a <Series> tag for each series that you want to specify the color for. For example, to specify the color of the fourth series as red, you would use a <Series> tag like this:
<Series id="3" color="#ff0000"/>Note that the id numbers start at 0 for the first series, 1 for the second, and so on. The color value is a hexadecimal number specifying the RGB value of the color.
You can also use the <Series> tag to specify other features like the marker shape.
For more information on what you can do using the Graph Settings property, see this FAQ and Technical Note.
    Hope this helps.

  • Why the 3D graph control shortcut menu is disabled? And how to set 3D graph to default view when running?

1).Controls have shortcut  menu, but the 3d graph's shortcut menu cannt be able. why? how to make it able?
2).3D graph can be rotated free by dragging, and when it is not running, right click ,select default view, the graph go back to initial view. But when the VI run, the shortmenu is disabled, how to make it to defaul tview. the property node and method seem have none about default view

The 3D Graph control is actually an ActiveX control (in Windows), so it's not a "standard" LabVIEW control with the "standard" run-time popup menu. Consequently, to access most of the properties and actions you actually have to use the Property Node and Invoke Node functions in the Application Control palette:

  • How do I NOT save a file every time I open a PDF file, open an attachment, etc.? I know how to set the option to change the save location, but in some cases I just want to VIEW not SAVE a file that I read while browsing

I don't want Firefox to save a copy on my hard disk of every attachment, PDF, etc. that I open while browsing. How do I make this happen?

Firefox needs to download and save a file before passing it to a plugin.
You can set the Boolean pref <b>browser.helperApps.deleteTempFileOnExit</b> to <i>true</i> on the <b>about:config</b> page to remove such files.
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
*Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
*Preferences that have been modified show as bold (user set).
*Preferences can be reset to the default via the right-click context menu if they are user set
*Preferences can be changed via the right-click context menu: Modify (String or Integer) or Toggle (Boolean)

  • How to set the number and width of divs of Graph?

    Hi, everyone.
As the title, I want to design a virtual scope. And there is something I don't know
how to set about Graph. That is I want to set the number of divs of X-axis and Y-
axis with 10 divs of Y-axis and 8 divs ofX-axis. Additon, i also want to set the
width of each divs. How can I do the setup?
    Thanks in advance!

There are two ways of doing it.
First, to do it offline, right click on the graph in front panel>> dropdown Menu select 'properties'>> Go to Tab 'Scales' and select relevant values for each axis
Or to do it programatically, create a property node ( as shown in attached pic)>> select property>> x scale range / y scale range>> change it to write>> create a control to it and you can set following attributes: Minimum, Maximum, Increment, Minor Increment, and Start of that particular axis
    Hope this helps

  • How to setting the root user profile?

It seems that I can't fine any complet manual to introduce how to setting the root user profile file which locate at /etc/profile? Who can help me find out or figure it out

first /etc/profile is a global profile for the system
its not only specific to root
from here you can configure the system wide paths
Regardless of the shell you are using, when you first log in your system generally runs the system profile file, /etc/profile. This file is generally owned by the system administrator and is readable (but not writable) by all users.
After your system executes the system profile, it runs the user profile. The user profile is one (or more) initialization files that define your working environment. For example, if you're in the CDE environment your system checks this file (or set of files) each time you start a new terminal or window.

  • How to get bar graph in word in labwindow/CVI ?

how to get bar graph in word in labwindow/CVI ?

    ashwinic9,
spawning your question over more and more threads (the present one, this one and this other one) won't give you a faster answer; instead, it will irritate forum users!
Especially if you have at your disposal a fast way to perform a test. I pointed you some days ago to word report example, that writes a table to a word document: did you tried changing the graph into a bar graph and generating the report? I have done it for you and the result is OK, as you can see in the attached document.
Now, since the example works well, there must be something in your particular situation that prevents the graph to be shown; that is: you must add some more data on your actual problem and maybe a small example that exposes the problem.
But please: keep active only this discussion and let the other threads die!

  • How do I set the default x-axis scale in DIAdem View?

    Hi everyone:
I look at large amounts of data (i.e. many different data files every day), and I am trying to load and view them quickly and efficiently. Currently, when I have data sets loaded in the "Structure" tab, and I click and drag a numeric channel over to the 2-D plot, DIAdam automatically scales the x-axis from 0 to 60, when the numeric channels can be anywhere from 50 000 to 100 000 entries long. I now use the roller on my mouse to zoom out for five minutes before seeing the entire data set. My question is is there a way to re-set the default x-axis scaling so I do not have to zoom out each time I plot a numeric channel?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello Peter!,
The DIAdem VIEW windows will always auto-scale to the full range of the values on the X-axis when you drag data into a new window.
You have several options on how to quickly get to the range of data you wish to see.
Right click on the LEFT edge of the data you wish to zoom into, HOLD the mouse right mouse button and DRAG the mouse to the right side of the section you wish to zoom into. DIAdem will automatically show the section you have selected in a zoomed view in that same window
    Result:
Alternatively, you can double click on the VIEW window and check the "Manual X-Scaling" box and then enter the exact values you wish to zoom into
Also, you could use the Band Cursor from the toolbar, move and resize the Band in the VIEW window and then use the "Scroll in Cursor Range" icon to zoom into the area of the curve you are interested in.
These are just a few ways you should be able to accomplish what you have described in your post.

  • How to programatically set hypertrend trace Y-axis setting

    Group,
I can't seem to figure out how to programatically specify which Y axis a trace belongs to in Hypertrend.  In the trace properties it seems that I can set most everything else but I don't see a setting for this option.  I can set the MINs, MAXs, colors, URLS and so forth but when the Hypertrend control has more that one Y-Axis set up, how can I specify which one?  Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks
    Todd

    Hello,
Unfortunately NIHyperTrend control is an ActiveX control that is very limited in its a ability to be configured. programmatically changing the y-axis is not possible. I apologize for the inconvenience.

  • Word 2013 mailmerge wants MAPI client. How to set up tbird?

Trying to do email merge in Word 2013. Nothing happens. Word help says something about needing a MAPI client, so how do I do that so that email merge in Word gets send by Tbird?
    Thx.

I do have tbird set as default client, yet doesn't seem to work. Although I'd like to get it to work from Word, I can use the mailmerge addon for Tbird as a workaround. So, still looking for how to get word emailmerge to work.
Also, FWIW, I have many email accounts in tbird.

  • How can I format the y-axis to display durations?

How can I cause the y-axis of this chart to reflect the values in Row 6 [Average Pace (Minutes per Mile)] of the corresponding table in duration format rather than number format. In other words, I need the y-axis to be a list of durations appearing like the figures in Row 6. Also, I need it to begin with the longest duration (10:00) and to climb to the shortest duration (5:00) at the top. I'll should mention that I already tried using the Inspector, but the "Duration" formatting option for the y-axis was not selectable while other formats were. I also tried formatting the y-axis this way to "Same as source data," and this didn't cause it to display durations either, though I had expected it to. Thanks in advance!
    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,
Numbers can display only numeric values on the Y axis, and those values are always arranged from highest to lowest, with highest at the top.
That said, here's what is possible:
There is, of course, some manipulation of the data involved in this, as well as replacement of the value axis labels with custom labels in a text box.
Here's what's happenng with the man behind the curtain:
While the chart shows the data from row 6, it is actually graphing the data from row 7 (or whatever row you choose to place this data in.
Row 7 uses a formula ( =-60*24*STRIPDURATION(B6) ) to first strip the Duration from the data in row 6, returning a number representing the fraction of a 24 hour day equivalent to the duration in row 6.
It multiplies that number by 24*60 to convert it to the number of minutes (and fractions of minutes) in the duration, and changes the sign of the number to - (negative) so that the shorter values will be higher in the chart.
Selecting row 7 and choosing Line Chart from the Charts Button's  menu produces, with one difference, the chart shown after setting the min and max values on the Y axis to -10 and -5 respectively, and incrementing the number of steps on the Y axis from 4 to 5).
The difference, of course, is that the Y axis value labels all show negatic=ve numbers, with no m to indicate they show 'minutes.' To correct this, insert a text box and enter the six numbers 5 to 10, with each followed by an m and a return.
Select the Text box, change the alignment to Right aligned (with the alignment button in the format bar), then drag the box in front of the Value axis labels with the 5s aligned.
In the Inspector, choose Text inspector, then Text. Use the Space after Paragraph stepper to increase the setting until the 10 in the box aligns with the 10 in the Value Axis labels box. You may have to tweak the height of the chart slightly to achieve this alignment.
Select the chart, then choose the Chart Inspector, then Axis. Use Choose Axis Options (for the Value Axis) to uncheck Show Value Labels.

Looks like you are right that it does not work for WebLogic 10.3.5 (as the documentation shows: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/web.1111/e13711/thin_client.htm#i1053779)
To see how you have to configure it correctly, you have consult the domain.xsd file (http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/1.0/domain.xsd):

  • How can I customise graph in Report.

    Hello,
I have used additional result to display the array in graph format not in table format. But how can I customise this graph.
Is their any  provision for customisation of graph adding axis and multiple line in single graph.
we can choose  graph ond table from report option. But  can we choose both as per our requirement step wise.Example for step 1 we can use tabel and for step 2 we can chose graph.
    thanks ,

    Hi,
Waveform, XY, intensity, digital waveform support multiple x- and y-scales, and all charts support multiple y-scales. Mixed signal graphs support only one x-scale. Use multiple scales on a graph or chart to display multiple plots that do not share a common x- or y-scale.
Complete the following steps to add a scale to a waveform graph or chart.
Right-click the scale of the waveform graph or chart and select Duplicate Scalefrom the shortcut menu.
To move the new scale to the opposite side of the display, right-click the new scale and select Swap Sides from the shortcut menu.
Associate a plot to the new scale by right-clicking the plot in the plot legend and select from the X Scale or Y Scale shortcut menus. If the plot legend is not visible, right-click the graph or chart and select Visible Items»Plot Legend from the shortcut menu.
To change the range of the new scale, use the Operating tool or the Labeling tool to highlight the end value(s) of the scale and enter a new value. If you set the scale manually, you should disable autoscaling.
I did not get the second part of your question, please clarify on that.
