How to set workingDir in console

          Hi all,
          How can I set the workingDir in console and not in weblogic.xml?
          The workingDir contains the compiled jsp during runtime.
          Thanks!!

If you thought "how can I set workingDir by console (not MANUALLY in
          weblogic.xml)" then my answer is:
          start console,
          <WLSdomain>->Deployments->WebApplications-><your_application>,
          click on link "Edit Web Application Descriptor..." and you will be offered
          new console for modifying weblogic.xml of your application
          find WebApp Ext->JSP Descriptior->Working Dir

              Thanks Kumar, I'll try this.
              Does this -Dweblogic.interfaceAddress used only for multicast. Or this is also

              The other problem I am facing is when I restart the AdminServer in recovery mode
              it's not finding my WebApp servers, because my webapp servers are on public network

  • How to set thumbnailUrl and/or thumbnailLocation?

    Hi...
    I have now been struggling how to set the URL or location for the thumbnail, when packaging a book...
    PS. The thumbnail is already uploaded to a location I know the path to:
    This is my XML request (bolded text are examples):
    [thumbnailLocation attempt]:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
              <package xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/adept">
              <metadata xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">

    </package>
    [thumbnailURL attempt]:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
      <package xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/adept">
      <metadata xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">

      <dataPath>C:\path\to\book\00c6429e-ea9e-4656-acaf-4de3c37de8d3.epub</dataPath>
    </package>
    In the response I can see that it completely ignores the thumbnailURL tag, but does not ignore thumbnailLocation - it merely just doesn't do anything with it.
    Any idea?

    Thanks for the answer!
    However, I have tried with both file://c/path/to/... and http://www.myserver.com/thumbnails/filename.jpg  for the <thumbnailLocation> tag, and same for the <thumbnailURL>.
    The packaging service still keeps ignoring those tags, and when I go look in the admin console (http://localhost:8080/admin/console) the book that was posted, has no thumbnail URL.
    I also tried using a base64 encoded image as <thumbnailData> together with <thumbnailLocation>... But in vain...
    PS. This Adobe Content Server has VERY LOUSY technical references. There's no code examples to find, and the tags / xml-requests/responses has very poor detailed explanation. Example:
    The detailed information about the thumbnailLocation tag is like this:
         thumbnailLocation - Upload location for the thumbnail
    Oh really...
    Long story short:
    When I package a book, I already have an uploaded thumbnail image on the server. All I want is to refer to that image, when I package a book... How hard can it be?

    I'm pretty sure higher access superceedes, so you could set up a group with no actual access, just to get the preferences working, then their individual security will dictate what they can do. I haven't tested this fully, but I beleive this is how it will work.<BR>As far as setting the preferences, go into the admin console and right click on the group, then select Preferences. To apply the group preferences to a user, add the user to the group, then right click on the user, select preferences and from the upper left corner, use the drop down to select the active preference, in this case, it will be the group you created and added them to.<BR><BR>HTH

  • How to set server log file severity

    Will some one suggest how to set the severity for messages logged by server to server log file. The admin console consists of setting "Stdout Severity Threshold" which is applicable only to standard out. I need to restrict info messages to be logged in server log file.

    Which release of WebLogic Server are you using? In WebLogic 9.0 there is an attribute on the LogMBean called LogFileSeverity which could be configured to "Warning" so it will not allow Debug and Info level messages to be written to the server log file. In the 8.1 release you would need to do this programatically using a startup class, by getting a reference to the server Logger by invoking weblogic/logging/LoggingHelper.getServerLogger() and setting the appropriate weblogic/logging/WLLevel on the weblogic/logging/FilestreamHandler that writes to the server log file.
    Hope this helps

    To Change the Backdrop
    1. Run xv (version 3.10 or later) on any desired image.
    2. Save the file as "XPM". Rename the file from <>.xpm to <>.pm.
    3. Edit the file /opt/SUNWut/kiosk/prototypes/dtsession/Dtwm and change
    the two backdrop lines to the full pathname of the <>.pm file.
    You can also place the <>.pm file in /usr/dt/share/backdrops and then
    refer to it by <> in the Dtwm file.

  • How to set a display variable

    Hi all,
    we have oracle EBS 12.1.1 installed on suse linux servers in our setup. one developer is using dev tools to have some graphs displayed while generating reports. all of a sudden we find that the graphs are not getting generated.
    i am told that it is because of the DISPLAY variable in Linux. I am working as a Linux admin and I am not too sure how to set it.
    i went to the company's data center to get to the console of the Linux box. I logged into the GUI and ran these commands
    linux-43x3:~ # echo $DISPLAY
    :0.0
    linux-43x3:~ # export DISPLAY=:0.0
    linux-43x3:~ # xhost +
    access control disabled, clients can connect from any hostsince the display was showing :0.0, there sud not v been any issue in my opinion, but still i chose to run the export DISPLAY command.
    still i find the graphs do not show up. should I run the command as root or should I run it as an apps user? and further if I log out of the GUI will the graphs still work?
    i dont have much experience with oracle apps. please excuse me if this question is too silly

    Hi,
    >but still i chose to run the export DISPLAY command.
    No problem if you set DISPLAY:0.0 AGAIN
    should I run the command as root or should I run it as an apps userRun as both users.
    should I run the command as root or should I run it as an apps userIt'll work, Unless you reboot the whole machine.

    My EM 10g was working fine http://localhost:5500/em
    Now when I tried, it was not working. I looked into portlist and found out it there was additional port of 5502
    But when I logged into port 5502, Status Agent Not Reachable. Other links were working fine.
    I had even installed another DB called REPOS other than the default ORCL.
    All the services were up and running and I was just bouncing services back and forth and luckly I got the original port 5500 to work and then I did not got the error "Status Agent Not Reachable".
    So I just wanted to know how to set a dedicated port in case the port number changes back to 5502 and if I get the error again.
    Thanks in advance.

    Yes I installed multipe databases for eg ORCL was the default but I installed REPOS.
    I did not uninstall the db.
    Why does it show two different ports for ORCL 5500 and 5502 and for Repos it shows two ports but they are the same 5501.

  • How to set up connection between S and C

    I want to realize a chat between server and client.
    on both side ,there is a textArea to get the information to send to the other.
    I know the socket is must be used,but how to set up the data source(from textarea or textfield),and how to store the data?
    can some one tell me how to do this?
    thanq!

    So what are you saying you dont know how to use the textarea and textfield?Cause it is ez to convert that code that dunedinhigh gave you from console to a gui like what you want I think.So here is a link that shows you how to use text component.You learn this then you can put 2 and 2 together.Also check out the java tut page.
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/

  • JTextPane, how to set only a part of text editable?

    How to set only a part of text in JTextPane editable? For example I want to forbid changing text after 'enter'. JTextPane has method setEditable but this works only for whole JTextPane.
    Plz help!!!

    I'm working on some application similar to unix console. It can't be done relatively simply with the provided components (for example two textfileds), but then it will not look like console :) .
    Now some technical problems:
    Anyway, use a DocumentListener and have it ignore any changes
    in areas you deem to be protected.I have no idea how to ignore changes using DocumentListener. Could you give more information abut this?
    I found "my own way". I create MyDefaultStyledDocument which extends DefaultStyledDocument. Then I overwrite two methods: insertString and remove. Using offsets values I manage to block everything before " > ", and I protect output from editing. But I still have a problem:
    This works fine (add "> " to JTextPane text):
                String s = console.getText();
                s = s+"> ";
                console.setText(s); but this doesn't work (for example replace last word):
                    String all = parent.getText();
                    all = all.substring(0,all.length() - cut);
                    all = all+text+" ";
                    parent.setText(all);where: parent = console = JTextPane
    Why?
    And one more question. Why when I typed "enter", Document remove all text and paste it again :/

  • How to set and search contact favorites

    As title.
    I know somewhere it showed that we can mark someone as "favorite" in Contact so that their call will not be blocked by "Do Not Disturb"
    But I do not know how to set the "favotite" and how to search who has beeen set as the "favorite"
    Please advise !!

    The SearchKey is created by Exchange when the Item is saved so after you have Saved the Item you'll need to use Load with a propertyset that includes that property to access it eg
    Appointment newappointment = new Appointment(service);
    newappointment.Start = DateTime.Now;
    newappointment.End = DateTime.Now.AddHours(1);
    newappointment.Subject = "testc";
    newappointment.Save(SendInvitationsMode.SendToNone);
    PropertySet aptPropset = new PropertySet(BasePropertySet.FirstClassProperties);
    ExtendedPropertyDefinition PR_SEARCH_KEY = new ExtendedPropertyDefinition(0x300B, MapiPropertyType.Binary);
    aptPropset.Add(PR_SEARCH_KEY);
    newappointment.Load(aptPropset);
    Byte[] SearchKeyVal = null;
    newappointment.TryGetProperty(PR_SEARCH_KEY,out SearchKeyVal);
    You can't bind to Item using the SearchKey the only Id that can be used to Bind to an Item is the EWSid. You can search for an Item that has that searchKey eg using the example above
    Byte[] SearchKeyVal = null;
    newappointment.TryGetProperty(PR_SEARCH_KEY,out SearchKeyVal);
    SearchFilter sfSearchFilter = new SearchFilter.IsEqualTo(PR_SEARCH_KEY, Convert.ToBase64String(SearchKeyVal));
    FindItemsResults<Item> fiResults = service.FindItems(WellKnownFolderName.Calendar, sfSearchFilter, new ItemView(1));
    if (fiResults.Items.Count == 1) {
    Appointment foundappointment = (Appointment)fiResults.Items[0];
    Console.WriteLine(foundappointment.Subject);
    Cheers

    Looks like you are right that it does not work for WebLogic 10.3.5 (as the documentation shows: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/web.1111/e13711/thin_client.htm#i1053779)
    To see how you have to configure it correctly, you have consult the domain.xsd file (http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/1.0/domain.xsd):
