Broadband Delayed...Phone order delayed, activatio...

I'm sure this is a fairly common issue, but as the subject says, that is my problem.  Have called that completely useless Indian call centre only to be hung up on mid call for no reason!  Also, they're going to try and charge me for my 1st month of service when I'VE HAD NOTHING!  I don't even have a dial tone, yet I've seen BT engineers faffing around infront of my flat for the last 2 weeks.  Even after talking to them they said they were working on a job connected to my building...so what the hell is going on!

  • Voice and IP Phone response delay

    All,
We are experiencing an issue with voice delay and even phone response delay during the beginning of a call.  When a user picks up the phone there is a noticeable delay before any audio is actually heard (2-5 seconds). Users also complain that they are unable to answer the call, meaning they hit the speaker phone button on the phone but it doesn't repond for a few seconds.
There is an ASA (version 8.4(3)) that is in between the call managers and the remote locations with the IP phones.
I have already checked QoS from the CUCM all the way to the remote end.  It is good.  I have also not found any packet loss over my network or the carrier network.  I do not have access to the data center or the ASA.  I currently have the people responsbile trying to prove out their side but I need some ideas on possible problems?  Also, has anyone else experienced this and if so what was the problem and the fix?
    CUCM Version: 8.6
    Phone Load: SCCP42.9-2-3S
    Thank you!

Update: The problem does not present itself on every call, when it does happen I see multiple packet retransmissions in wireshark.

The next step I would reocmmend is to run a Wireshark at both the phone and the CUCM node to which the phone is registered. This would let you see what happens: is the packet lost, arriving too late, corrupted, fragmented, etc.
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-11599
The ASA code is capable of doing Layer 7 inspection/manipulation of the SCCP traffic. It could have a bug where it doesn't understand the newer SCCP version or it could be rate limiting the connections to each CUCM server.
Another possibility is that there is traffic shaping somewhere which is delaying delivery of the packets. Again, seeing both sides is probably your best next bet.

  • Track/report delayed sales order

    Dear Experts,
Do you have a simple solution to track/report delayed sales order with reason code? (I'd like to see delays in days and a reason code in a list.) Is there anyone who generate this KPI from SAP?
    Thanks in advance,

    Dear Roland
Besides going down order by order, if you want to see the changes made to sale orders in bulk, I dont think there is a standard TCode available.
As you would be aware, for sales documents, the change object is VERKBELEG and you have to develop a report considering tables VBAK and VBAP.  Of course, you are aware, changed history are recorded in CDHDR and CDPOS but both will eat your time.
May be you can check this link and develop a zee report accordingly.

Periodically I get severe noise when answering incoming landline calls on my broadband talk phones - outgoing calls via BB Talk are OK. Incoming calls  answered on my land line phones are OK.When I reset the hub the problem disappears for a few days before returning.Have changed cables and all filters.problem only startedwhen upgrading from Hub 1 to Hub 2 - any suggestions please without reverting to Hub 1

    Hi dido,
How many Hub Phones are you using, and what model are they? Have you tried testing the call quality by using a different handset?

Some things to look out for was the email addressed to you by name or your user name not your email address? A quick check all my email's from BT they have had a reply of @bt.com never @btinternet.com.
As to the mailbox I have no idea what it is so cant help with that, I am sure someone else can if there is such a thing?
    Hi Rds233,
Thanks for the reply, been in contact with BT by calling 100 and connecting via broadband sales and spoke to someone in the UK - OMG SO COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!
He looked at the new order placed which I could also see on my BT account and relates to the request I have been waiting for over a week now for our interleaving to be switched off to connect with a latency of Fast.
The chap discussed with me various different reasons why connection speeds may be slow which is down to the BT's Network Traffic Monitoring and speeds will vary at any point of the day.
He mentioned that the 4 services that have most priorities are
    BT Vision
    Voip
    Gaming
    General Internet use
I asked him if BT have something similar to what Plus Net have regarding speeds for various Internet applications e.g. Video Streaming at say 5PM will be 1mb, 7PM will be 512 and so on.  He said no, this is because of the amount of speed that is available from the exchange to the customers connected at the time when you are on the Internet.  Simple. However, would be nice to see what we should expect and not calling if it is a fault ;-|
He also mentioned a game that he used on his PC where for some reason was using two ports, one gaming and one Internet.  He advised that the ping on the Internet port was over 4000ms and he passed this to his IT tech team who studied the game etc and advised why it was slow.  Some games like football games may use conventional ports where as some use actual gaming ports which are prioritised.
He provided me with more information which i wanted to hear and answred my query within half an hour, i have been speaking with BT India for the last week and waisted more than 3 hours!
BT, Please bring back BT UK, or make BT India have more experience in Broadband and understand what we are asking!

  • BT Talk Broadband IP phone alternative

I am considering an 'upgrade' to my BT home broadband service - an 'upgrade' that will in fact provide a downgrade in optioins in that broadband internet phone is no longer provided as part of the BT Home Hub
I do not need a number for incoming calls, just the facility to make outgoing calls via my BT broadband connection using a handset
What recommendations would forum members have?
    Thanks

There are a number of voip providers out there (Sipgate, vonage) to name 2.
I use sipgate. You will need some form of terminal adaptor that will plug into your home hub and then a standard type phone plugs into that.
You can have an area code of either your home town or pick one from any other nationally.
Calls are free from sipgate to sipgate customers.
Mine works as a pay as you go. I have about £5 on the account and just gets deducted when you make a call. No charge for incoming.

  • Merging broadband and phone accounts in different ...

Hi, I hope someone can advise on whether it's possible to merge a BT broadband and phone account under two different names.
The broadband account is in my name, but the old phone account is in my mother's name. I would like to merge the two under my name, so that I can get a cheaper combined package.
Several years ago I phoned BT to ask about this, but was told that this would lead to us being disconnected, so I left the two accounts as they are. However, it's becoming increasingly uneconomical to have separate accounts. I hope someone can help.
    Thanks in advance.

I don`t think that is possible. The only way I can see, would be to add broadband to your mother`s account, then cancel your own broadband, provided you are out of contract.
You would still have to pay a £30 disconnection fee.

  • Cautionary tale re phone orders at Adobe Store

I ordered Creative Suite Design Standard from the adobe store by phone on October 23rd and have learned some things that have disappointed me: They don't send out tracking numbers for shipments after phone orders; if a shipment disappears they make it your responsibility to deal with Fed Ex to find out what happened to it. When Fed Ex declares the shipment lost it still requires argument to get a replacement shipped out and they charge you for shipping again. To learn this required 5 emails on the store's online form (none of which have been answered despite a promised 24 hour turn around) and 6 phone calls. I was told on 11/7 that a replacement was being shipped out but that I would need to call back to get the tracking number. I called back on the 10th only to be told after 2 calls and talking to three different people that it wouldn't be shipped until the 12th so I would have to call after that and that I was being charged shipping again.
I remain skeptical and disillusioned at this point. I don't know if I am just unlucky or if the individual customer is no longer important - I am just a hobbyist but I do keep current with photoshop and had decided to expand to the design studio. I realize that the lost product was beyond Adobe's control - but I would assume they have more resources for dealing with Fed Ex than I do and that until I receive the shipment it is Adobe's responsibility - or that at least they would make some effort to keep me satisfied.

    Peter,
Sometimes you've gotta just make a good argument. Ask again for a supervisor (although they may not be anxious to do it, and you may wind up on hold for a bit) -- insist on it; tell 'em you'll wait -- as the front line customer support has been unable to resolve this.
Keep your cool and ask the supervisor to please look at this from your standpoint. I mean, you've been seriously inconvenienced, and you've spent considerable time trying to get this resolved. You're not asking for much -- but for free shipping as Adobe is currently offering, plus a refund or credit of shipping charges from the lost shipment, and you'll feel compensated for all the trouble you've been put for. And let the supervisor know you're a big fan of Adobe software.
Over the years, I've been through this kind of scenario more times than I care to count with a number of businesses. And the majority of the time, if I'm reasonable, and I speak to a supervisor or manager, I get what I want.

  • Existing Broadband and Phone Package price change

Can someone please show me where I can find the 2014 exact price change info about my existing broadband and phone package?
I am currently on: BT Infinity Option 1 (40 GB) allowance, with Weekend & Evening Call (18 months contract) package from February 2013.
    Many thanks

You're Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan is obsolete (Infinity 1 can now only be taken with the free weekend calls included in line rental, evenings being a chargeable add-on). Page 43 of the 2014 Tariff Guide includes this:

  • Broadband Hub Phone "Recent Usage"

Up until about 7 weeks ago I was using my Broadband Hub phone for business calls. This was useful, as I need to charge the cost of calls back, and I was provided with an itemised "Recent Usage" list.
7 weeks ago this "Recent Usage" list stopped working, and I have spoken to a large number of people at BT, all of who said "it will be fixed in 2-3 days", "We'll call you back" etc etc.
Now, when someone "promises" me they will call me back, and don't, I consider this as a serious breakdown in customer service. I can only assume that because I am not one of the large multi-national corporations, spending millions of pounds a year with BT, that I am just pushed aside and considered a minor irritation, rather than a valued customer.
Terrible, terrible service. Thanks goodness for Twitter - I can warn others thinking of changing to BT.

The number and broadband are registered to me personally, not the business; this is why I used this forum.
As I have explained on numerous occasions to numerous support staff, waiting for the bill is not what I need to do (although that's what I'm being forced to do because of BT).
This WAS working, so something has been done to stop it. Any changes made would surely have been subject to testing, and a rollback contingency plan, and after 7 weeks I would have expected BT to have implemented this, rather than just keep stalling with the usual "stock" answers.
If the service is no longer possible, why can't someone just say so, and I can look for an alternate supplier?

  • How to set input delay and output delay when source Synchronous

ClkIN is the board clock which is connected to the FPGA. Clkif is the generated clock from ClkIN. The Device's clk come from Clkif. So, how to set input delay and output delay in this scene(within my understand, this is Source Synchronous)?
The example in many document, the input delay and output delay setting all refer to board clock(within my understand, this is System Synchronous). In that scene, the input delay max = TDelay_max + Tco_max; input delay min = Tdelay_min + Tco_min; the output delay max = Tdelay_max + Tsu; output delay min = Tdelay_min - Th.
So, I want to know how to set input/output delay in the Source Synchronous.
In system synchronous, I set input/output delay such as:
    create_clock -period 20.000 -name ClkIN -waveform {0.000 10.000} [get_ports ClkIN]
    create_generated_clock -name Clkif -source [get_pins cfg_if/clk_tmp_reg/C] -divide_by 2 [get_pins cfg_if/clk_tmp_reg/Q]
    create_clock -period 40.000 -name VIRTUAL_clkif //make virtual clock
    set_input_delay -clock [get_clocks VIRTUAL_clkif] -min 0.530 [get_ports DIN]
    set_input_delay -clock [get_clocks VIRTUAL_clkif] -max 7.700 [get_ports DIN]
    set_output_delay -clock [get_clocks VIRTUAL_clkif] -min -0.030 [get_ports DOUT]
    set_output_delay -clock [get_clocks VIRTUAL_clkif] -max 1.800 [get_ports DOUT]
    *******************************************************************************************

So, first. Architecturally, the clock that you forward to your external device should not come directly from the clock tree, but should be output via an ODDR with its D1 input tied to logic 1 and the D2 tied to logic 0. This guarantees minimal skew between the output data and the forwarded clock.
    ODDR #(
    .DDR_CLK_EDGE("OPPOSITE_EDGE"), // "OPPOSITE_EDGE" or "SAME_EDGE"
    .INIT(1'b0), // Initial value of Q: 1'b0 or 1'b1
    .SRTYPE("SYNC") // Set/Reset type: "SYNC" or "ASYNC"
    ) ODDR_inst (
    .Q (Clkif_ff), // 1-bit DDR output
    .C (ClkIN_BUFG), // 1-bit clock input
    .CE (1'b1), // 1-bit clock enable input
    .D1 (1'b1), // 1-bit data input (positive edge)
    .D2 (1'b0), // 1-bit data input (negative edge)
    .R (rst), // 1-bit reset
    .S (1'b0) // 1-bit set
    OBUF OBUF_inst (.I (Clkif_ff), .O (Clkif_out));
This generates an output clock that is the same frequency as your input clock. This is consistent with your drawing, but inconsistent with your constraints - is the forwarded clock a 50MHz clock or a 25MHz clock?
I will assume your ClkIN goes to a BUFG and generates ClkIN_BUFG.  Your first constraint generates a 50MHz clock on the ClkIN port which will propagate through the BUFG to (among other places) this ODDR.
    create_clock -period 20.000 -name ClkIN -waveform {0.000 10.000} [get_ports ClkIN]
Assuming your forwarded clock is supposed to be 50MHz, then your 2nd command is close to correct
    create_generated_clock -name Clkif -source [get_pins cfg_if/ODDR_inst/C] -combinational  [get_pins cfg_if/ODDR_inst/Q]
With this done, you have successfully described the forwarded clock from your design. This is the clock that goes to your device, and hence should be the clock which is used to specify your input and output constraints.
    set_input_delay -clock [get_clocks Clkif] -min 0.530 [get_ports DIN]
    set_input_delay -clock [get_clocks Clkif] -max 7.700 [get_ports DIN]
    set_output_delay -clock [get_clocks Clkif] -min -0.030 [get_ports DOUT]
    set_output_delay -clock [get_clocks Clkif] -max 1.800 [get_ports DOUT]
If you want to get fancier, you could try adding a set_clock_latency to the forwarded clock to account for the board propagation of the clock
    set_clock_latency -source TDtrace2 [get_clocks Clkif]
(But I haven't experimented with clock latency on a generated clock and I don't know for a fact that it works).

  • Two phones ordered, only one shipped. The iPhone 6 has shipped with tracking number and charge to my card. iPhone 6 Plus has no information available, no one at CS can tell me if this is normal, if it is delayed, any info appreciated.

I placed an upgrade order for two phones, an iPhone 6 and 6plus.
I was in the Verizon shopping cart at 11:55 and checked out by 12:01 AM pacific time.
I do have my email confirmation for both phones with ship date 9/19
The iPhone 6 has shipped with tracking number and the charge to my card came through for the price of this phone.
There is no other information available - nothing on the status of the 6 Plus. Customer service doesn't know if this is normal or if my order went through, its really bad.
Any further information would be much appreciated.

I was just told by a Verizon sales rep that, when her team got in, when she checked the system at 3:03 (midnight+ 3 minutes)  all 6Plus had a back order date of October, and now its going into November even though the pre-order system was showing 9/19 - that all verizon iphone 6 plus had an instant sell out.
She had no additional information on my iPhone 6 plus, not even if there was a chance for it to ship out, when the back order date would be - no further information.
(A different rep I talked to said all iphone 6 plus pre orders had a ship date of October, all of them - I asked what Verizon is going to do when they advertised iphone 6 plus for 9/19 delivery and your telling me they never had any available - at this point he transferred me... *****)

  • Infinity Order Delay - Worried

    Hi folks,
Hoping someone can advise me on what to do here, because I am starting to stress out a little bit over my current situation.
Firstly, my back story.  I'm currently a BT Broadband customer, but I am moving to a new home where BT Infinity is available, so I ordered the BT Infinity 2 package.  I was originally hoping to move on the 10th Dec, but BT told me that the earliest they can move my connection over to my new place is on the 19th due to requiring an engineer visit.  Now for an average person, that just means 9 days without internet, no big deal right?  Not for me though because in my case, I work full time online.  If I'm not able to work, I lose money.
So I delayed my move to the 19th thanks to my current landlord who is letting me stay a bit longer, although it does mean I'm having to double up on paying rent for two different properties since I have already signed the lease for my new apartment.. but it's ultimately cheaper than me taking those 9 days off.
Anyway, the issue and the reason I'm here today is because I just received an email with the following message:
A survey is required by our engineers before we can progress your order, this will result in a delay in us providing you with BT Infinity Broadband service.
We apologise for the delay and can assure you we are working as quickly as possible towards a solution, we will be in touch as soon as we have a further update.
You can track the progress of your order by visiting www.bt.com/myorder, using your order number [removed for privacy reasons]
Due to my online profession, this email is very worrying for me.  I do not know how long this delay will be, or when my order will actually be completed.  I've heard horror stories of delayed orders taking weeks to complete, and with it being so close to Christmas, I'm worried I'm about to suffer the same fate.  The order progress on the website however still shows the 19th as being the date in which my service will be activated, along with the engineer visit.
I was hoping today to finalise my removal services so that I could be at my new place on the 19th, but now I don't know what to do because I don't know now whether I'll need to extend my stay here further just so that I have a working connection or not.  I only have another day or two before that choice is no longer an option.  I really hope there's a way to escape this fate, even if it means changing my package so that an engineer visit isn't required.  Anything just to have the connection set up by the 19th or at least within a couple of days of that date, as I cannot afford to take time off work, nor can I afford to keep paying rent for two different properties just for the sake of maintaining an internet connection.
If anyone has any advice on what to do in this unusual situation, please let me know.  The move itself is already stressful enough, but this is definitely pushing my stress levels through the roof.
    Best regards,
    X.

I am just a regular user with a residential line/package.  I just tried using the phone number they've given me for my new place on the BT business website, but it says that BT business is not available in my area yet oddly enough.  Furthermore I do use my connection often outside of work for gaming.. etc, so not sure if I would suit a business line regardless. (To be honest, I don't really know the differences between the two.. but it seems like it's not an option regardless)
My main concern right now is getting a connection up and running by the 19th (or at least before Christmas) at my new place, even if it means having to change my Infinity 2 order to a lesser one, if I can even do that. (I wouldn't be overly happy with doing that, but a working connection is more important than having to potentially wait weeks after the 19th for one)
Would an Infinity 1 package require an engineer visit?  Or would this whole "delay due to an engineer survey" thing affect that too?  Also is it normal that my order summary page still shows the 19th as my activation date, despite the email stating a delay?  The agent on the phone did mention that an engineer would be in the area prior to that date, which is why I had to wait 'til the 19th in the first place despite originally being quoted an earlier date previously. (I ordered originally on the 24th Nov.)  I'm really confused and unsure of what to do right now.. because my whole move is resting on this pretty much.  I should note that my new place apparently has the rare FTTP packages available, allowing me to choose Infinity 3 or 4.  I'm assuming that changing my order to one of those will not change anything though?
Thanks for your advice so far, much appreciated.
    Regards,
    X.
