How to setup JNDI Name for Oracle Apps adapter?

Hello,
I am learning Oracle SOA 11g and trying to do some tutorial on Oracle Application Adapter.  I know how to configure JNDI for DBadapter and I did that successfully. I followed same steps to create New JNDI for Oracle Apps Adapter.
1. I Created new data source using Path Services->Data Sources -> New Genric Data Source. Connection to database was successful and created new JNDI Name: jdbc/PKDTAPPS.
2. Then Deployment-> OracleApps Adapter-> Configuration-> Outbound Connection Pools -> New and created JNDI Name eis/Apps/PKDTAPPS.
However I did not find newly created JNDI Name in step 2 under Deployment-> OracleApps Adapter-> Configuration-> Outbound Connection Pools -> javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory.
Please let me know if am I following correct steps to create new Oracle Apps Adapter JNDI Name or not.
Since above approch did not work I created new JNDI for DBAdapter with same database connection details. And then latter on use that JNDI Name while creating Oracle Application Adapter in JDeveloper composite. And it allowed me to access Oracel Apps open interface. However while deploying the application it gave me following error.
<Feb 16, 2015 10:50:59 AM CST> <Error> <oracle.integration.platform.blocks.deploy.servlet> <SOA-21537> <Sending back error message: There was an error deploying the composite on AdminServer: [JCABinding]

oracle.tip.adapter.apps.AppsTableWriteInteractionSpec..>
Since I have no past experience kindly suggest me what is right way to do this.
Thanks,
Shri

  • How to create JNDI for Oracle Apps Adapter

    I have created a data-source(jdbc/testds) and connection pool which connects to apps schema in Weblogic console.
    Then i go to Deployments-> Oracle Apps Adapter -> Configuration -> Outbound Connection Pools. In the Outbound Connection Pools table i expand "javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory" and then click New and select "javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory", click Next and give JNDI name "eis/apps/testds"
    But when i try to execute my BPEL process that has a reference eis/apps/testds it throws a JCA binding error. Can someone please guide me on how to create a Apps adapter connection. Also i would like to know how to refresh the connection pool(we used to have this facility in Oracle Application Server).
    Thanks,

    Can you once check the OA adapter check box in deployments and click update?

  • Duplicate instance in EM for Oracle Apps Adapter

    Hi,
    In composite.xml , Oracle apps adapter is kept in Service end which listens to a queue.
    During the time of Performance test , I could see multiple instance got generated in EM console for the same message.
    The following oracle apps property property got included in compostie.xml
    +<property name="adapter.aq.dequeue.threads" type="xs:string" many="false">1</property>+
    +<property name="minimumDelayBetweenMessages">15000</property>+
    +<property name="DequeueTimeOut" type="xs:integer" many="false" override="may">60</property>+
    Please let me know, is there any other property , need to be included in either composite or server level , in order to stop the duplicate instance in EM console .

    Then its expected behaviour, you need to make active-passive configuration on JCA adapters.
    Ideally we use "clusterdid" setting to make active- passive configuration on JCA adapter.
    <property name="clusterGroupId">ProcessClusterID</property>
    The above properties i had set it for File/FTP adapter on composite.xml. This make sure only one node active at any given point of time.
    Not sure wheather the same will be helpful or not. W'll update you shortly.

  • How to pass Username dynamically in Oracle Apps Adapter .jca file

    My BPEL process uses Oracle Applications Adapter. The following is the .jca file for the Adapter.  The Username is initialized statically to "sysadmin" when I created the Adapter. How can I change this to be passed dynamically at runtime? Can I use an EL Expression or an XPath variable. If so how to do and what the correct syntax is?
    Is it possible to pass in the username from the OWSM Security policy for the username value below? If so how to do? I appreciate your response.
    <adapter-config name="EBSAdapter" adapter="Apps" wsdlLocation="../WSDLs/EBSAdapter.wsdl" xmlns="http://platform.integration.oracle/blocks/adapter/fw/metadata">

  • How to specify dataschema name for oracle data source?

    hi all,
    I've a following problem:
    we have specified 2 Oracle dataschemas into a one Oracle SID, choosing of dataschema depends on user login name. So, if I use SQL/Plus then I successful connect with proeprietary database schema, and when I specify this user in "data-sources.xml" for datasource definition, however connection estabished with a default dataschema.
    And so question: how can I choose proeprietary database schema defined in one Oracle SID? There is any settings for this purpose in data-sources.xml?
    thanx in advance,
    Val.

    sorry, it works! was my error.

  • Deploytool: Can't specify a JNDI name for RA

    Using j2eesdk1.4_beta2, it appears there is no way to specify a JNDI name for a Resource Adapter. Is there a default name I can use to look up my RA if I don't specify a name? The Deploy Tool help describes some tabbed panes appear to be missing from the appication. Is there a way to work around this problem until the final release comes out?

    Headache!... That's what is expecting you in the DeployTool.
    The deploytool generates invalid deployment descriptors for Resource Adaptors.
    As you mentioned, it doesn't allow you to select a ResourceAdaptor implementation. In my case, I'm using my own Connection and ConnectionFactory and it didn't allow me to choose an implementation class for either interface neither.
    I solved these problems by downloading XMLSpy and using the XML Schema to fill-in the gaps in the ra.xml descriptor. There I had also to include other mandatory elements that where not written by the deployTool, like: <display-name>
    <vendor-name>
    <eis-type>
    <resourceadapter-version>
    Regarding to the <<null>> error, it has to deal with an invalid sun-ra.xml. It's either empty or it's missing a mandatory element. I used again XML Spy here to give a JNDI to my adaptor.
    I thought I was through it but I still can't deploy on the server. When I try, I get the following error:
    <[INFO][j2eesdk1.4_beta2][][][12][javax.enterprise.system.tools.admin][03.november.2003 22:16:22:351 CET][ADM5604:Processing config change [Domain:add to xpath=/domain/applications

    So far I haven't found a way to get solve this one. The <NAMESPACE_ERR> makes me think about the infamous 'locale' error of the deploytool, but I included the JVM parameters [USER_LANG=en,USER_REGION=US,USER_COUNTRY=US] in the server startup and it didn't change anything.
    If you get further than that, please let me know.

  • Not able to integrate SOA Suite with EBS using Oracle APPS Adapter

    Hi,
    We need to listen to outbound business events of Oracle EBS using BES via Oracle APPS Adapter.
    We have created a composite containing Oracle Application Adapter and BPEL Process.
    In Apps adapter when configured Outbound Business events "oracle.apps.bom.component.modified" using Dequeue Operation,a corresponding subscriber is created in WF_BPEL_Q for respective event selected.
    In Oracle EBS
    for "oracle.apps.bom.component.modified" status is enabled and in subscription WF_BPEL_QAGENT is there.
    When we are changing any BOM component in Oracle EBS Designer and saving it, a record is being created in "WF_BPEL_QTAB".
    BPEL Process( Oracle Apps Adapter Partner Link---> Recieve Actvity ) instances are not being created when any BOM component is being changed.
    Oracle Apps Adapter is not able to dequeue the data from WF_BPEL_QTAB.
    There is not any error/exception in oracle soa suite server logs for Oracle APPS adapter.

    We would like to capture a few business events in oracle BOM and PO that are of interest to us. In order to do this,
    we deploy oracle SOA composite with BEPL in the Oracle Fusion Middleware Control. The oracle SOA composite is configured for a particular outbound business event. It should listens on a specific queue WF_BPEL_Q or WF_BPEL_QTAB and de-queues the messages from that Oracle Queue or Oracle AQ Table. In jDeveloper 11g we created a SOA project with oracle applications adapter partner link and a receive.
    Specifically we are trying to capture the business outbound event oracle.apps.bom.component.modified just to get the event data in this receive.
    Partner link configuration: We added the database connection to the oracle EBS instance. Tested it and we
    succeded. Chose ANY_SCHEMA in partner link configuration.
    We ensured that the JNDI Name here( eis/Apps/Apps ) match the JNDI name provided in the weblogic-->Deployments--
    OracleAppsAdapter -->Configuration --> Outbound Connection Pools. For this outbound resource pool, Connection factory interface was javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory. Property name xADataSourceName was mapped to JNDI name of the configured JDBC datasource in the weblogic. When we created the connection pool. We tested and it worked fine. This data source had the connection pool configured to the oracle applications schema with APPS user.
    After adding the partner link with the above configuration, we added a receive. We deployed this configuration to the middleware. We went to the oracle EBS modified a BOM component and we expected to having running BPEL instances against the deloyed composite. However, the problem is we are not having any running instance for the composite.
    We found that there are entries in the view AQ$WF_BPEL_QTAB with an ENQ_TIME and ENQ_TIMESTAMP but with no DEQ_TIME or DEQ_TIMESTAMP. The ENQ_TIMESTAMP corresponds to the time we modified BOM in oracle BOM forms/Designer
    The data is being written in WF_BPEL_QTAB for the BOM changes but not being dequeued by oracle applications adapter/composites deployed in soa server.
    Please help me it quite urgent.
    Is there anything we are missing on EBS side to be activited. for the events to be dequeued
    Any Help is appreciated.

  • How to find the Standard DFF Name  In oracle apps

    hi,
    How to find the Standard DFF Name In oracle apps
    thanks

    1. Open the form
    2. Choose Tools--> Diagnostics
    3. In the block field choose $DESCRIPTIVE_FLEXFIELD$
    4. Field will show the list of all the DFF's enabled for that form.
    5. Choosing one will display the name of the DFF in the value field.
    Thanks

    Try going into your account details on iTunes, change your info there, then sync your devices.

  • How to create a DSN (Data Source Name) for "Oracle 10g XE" on SUSE 10??

    Hii Friends,
    I am new Linux user.I installed SUSE Linux 10.2. I am planning to do my project on Linux with J2EE,Oracle technologies. I installed Oracle 10g Express Edition. But unfortunately i have no provider name for oracle in the Providers List in SUSE/Gnome Desktop/System/Data Access points/ dsn list. I am unable to understand what actually happened. Should i install any other libraries, or Odbc drivers (I mean aren't they not given by Oracle XE Setup, as in MS Windows XP) ? Any one please help me. I need this immediately.
    Waiting for a reply,

    I am planning to do my project on Linux with J2EE,Oracle technologies.You don't need to set up a DSN. Just use a JDBC connect string such as jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:xe
