How to show a nice URL in Browser URL navigator?
Hello
Arquitecture:
Internet --- Machine1 (Apache like Proxy Reverse and rewrite) --- MAchine2 (GLASSFISH-APEX LISTENER 2.0.1) --- DATABASE
That application will be like a directory of products, we need a nice indexation inside google, yahoo, etc...
We want to build an application with APEX, with a nice custom URL. like http:\\domain\pagina1\pagina2\pagina3
Limitations:
* We can not use frame
Actually, We obtained that when we write in a browsers URL domain "the domain" redirect to "http://domain/apex/f?p=600", and that appear in "browser url" but we want to know if is posible to change that without use frames.

Interesting Morten states that "You can use Apache with mod_rewrite to set up mapping between REST-style URLs to your Apex pages...", I've seen no working examples of how to do this with Apache because mod_rewrite is very limited in it's ability to process the query string part of the URL, with all the APEX stuff we need to refer to.
Morten if you are reading this, what's the secret man?

How to show a report in web browse

Hi all，
I have design a BI report in BI7.0 Query Designer，But I can't preview it in browse .When I log on BI7.0 System, navigate to the folder-favorite, click the report I have saved, it doesn't show ,but poped up the message:
Windows can't find the file :
"//:/irj/prt/portal/.............................."
lm sure the message server prameters are right for web application ,then is there other configurations?

Thank you but it will show the same error message.
the question is I design the report in designer, but it can't be see in Analyzer ,or in the web browse.
as your solution , I click the button- execute , it will show the report in browse if it is configurated right.
I guess it may be something about system configuration, because in the directory error msg gave ,there are not the host name and port .

How to show an iview based on browser or portal language

Is it possible to make an iview, page or workset visible for the user depending on the language he has logged on with? If he logs on with English an HTML document iview should be displayed, but if he logs on with the French language another iview should be showned and the English one should not be visible.
Any ideas how this could be done?

OIM custom web page developed shows up on copy pasting the URL in browser

Hi experts,
I am facing this weird issue. I have developed a custom web page to generate password after adding custom menu item in OIM.
The web page shows up on copy pasting the URL in browser. Only System admins after loggin in should get this menu item and page after clicking on it.
http://xxxx:7778/xlWebApp/generatePassword.do
But any1 can access this page currently. I have changed the action class to check for valid session,so clicking reset doesnt trigger the code.
So atleast the functionality is protected.
But the page still shows up on copy pasting the URL. How do i prevent this from happening ??
Any suggestions and pointers would be appreciated.

Urgent-.how to hide url in browser

here iam having some prob with URL's in browser.
infact iam working with 9ias rel2 and iam keeping my jsp's in defaultwebapp and i have deployed my jars in /applications of oc4j_home.
when iam login to my application initially my login page is http://localhost:7777/login.htm
after succuess full login it is taking me to http://localhost:7777/j2ee/myapplication/test/test/loginconfirm.jsp
what i need is i want to hide the total url and i want to display just http://localhost:7777/loginconfirm.jsp
finally i dont want to show my url in browser to end user.how to do this?pl get back tome,as iam in very much need of this..

in this \defaultwebapp i have> login.htm and login.htm will call myapplication\application1\logins\loginconfirm.jsp.(myapplication folder is under dfaultwebapp)
what i need is i dont want to show the user "myapplication\application1\logins\loginconfirm.jsp" just i want to show loginconfirm.jsp to the end user.how to do this?pl respond on this...

I changed my browser url to blank now I cannot find bookmarks or menu toolbar, pls can someone tell me how to restore to original url setting?

I tried to remove thumbnails from Firefox & following online advice went to browser.newtab.url and changed it to "blank", now when I open Firefox the menu bar with bookmarks etc is missing, but when I open a new tab the thumbnail images are still there, I don't have much experience & would appreciate advice as to how to restore. I tried restoring computer to earlier time but that didn't not restore the browser url to the state before I started messing with it. Please help!

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command+Shift+F).

How can I add a folder of MP3s to Final Cut so they show up in the media browser?

I have a collection of royalty free audio clips in MP3 format. I would like to get them to show up in the media browser, so I don't have to go to the finder each time to get them into a project. Any idea how to do this?

If you want them in the Music and Sound media browser specifically, rather than in your Event Library, then you could easily just add them to your system's iTunes library, then access them via FCP X:

Or if you want to avoid adding / organizing them in your iTunes library then you can just drag and drop your already organized MP3 folder directly into the Sound and Music media browser pane inside FCP X and the app will add that folder to the browser inside a new "Folders" category.

Directory listing pattern is ocurring as www.myapp.com/rite/pre/information.jsp in address bar of browser.And Want to dispaly only www.myapp.com in address bar instead of www.myapp.com/rite/pre/information.jsp
Is it possible we can disable/hide the directory listing pattern from url in browser?

The most likely solution is a bit strange, but there are enough posts and discussions about it, so I am comfortable recommending it . . .
What you want to do is to toggle Logic Pro 9 back and forth from a 64-bit application to a 32-bit application and then to a 64-bit application. The IK Multiedia virtual istruments are 32-bits, so they do not get analyzed and verified when you only run Logic Pro 9 in 64-bit mode . . .
The solution is to run Logic Pro 9 in 32-bit mode, which you do by right-clicking on the application; selecting "Get Info"; checking the "Open in 32-bit mode" checkbox; and then starting Logic Pro 9. Once you do that and everything loads, quit Logic Pro 9; and repeat the "Get Info" procedure, but this time uncheck the "Open in 32-bit mode" checkbox and then run Logic Pro 9 again, where this time it will be running as a 64-bit application . . .
Doing this apparently causes Logic Pro 9 to rescan the AU plug-ins, where during the 32-bit mode step it finds the various IK Multimedia virtual instrument plug-ins . . .
If you do some searches, you will find the information, which as I recall also is found in an Apple Support item . . .
Logic Pro 9: New or updated 32-bit Audio Unit Plug-ins sometimes are not available in 64-bit mode (Apple Support)

open a browser window: not sure you can do that ; though you can try with Runtime.exec() but you will have to choose the browser that should open and if the comp does not have it you're stuffed
read the content of an URL: i think you can do that with methods of URLConnection class :)
