How to show "calculated" InfoObject / characteristic with-in query level

Dear Expert:
I have infoObject which is a CHAR(1) and contain only 3 values
"1"
"2"
"3"
But I want the query to show only CHAR(1)
"1" as "N"
"2" as "N"
"3" as "Y"
Is there any way to do this ?

The display attribute is another InfoObject right ? So I have to create an update rule to update the infoObject from whatever InfoSource I have ...
Am I correct ?
If I were correct, then It's quite an expensive process as I have to do some development and prepare a lot of documentation

SSRS 2008: how to show an empty chart with legend and x and y axis when no data available

Hi,
I am using SSRS 2008, I generated one chart in report designer with the data from Analysis Services (Cube).
According to the dataset, there is no data returned when I run the query. so when I preview the chart, there is nothing but "no data available" showing on the chart.
Here I want to know is there any possible to show an empty chart with legend and x and y axis?
If it is possible, can you tell me how can I make it?

Hi,
When there is no data, the chart displays the message "no data available". But using a little work around, you can display an empty chart.
Please find the below steps given to achieve this
1. Create a new dataset using TSQL to return 1 row of data having the category field and value field set to 0. Add the fields that are necessary for the category fields, series fields and datafields.
   A simple example would be like
   SELECT 'abc' as Category, 0 as Amount
2. Add a new chart, set the category field to 'Category' and set the data field to Amount from above dataset created in step 1.
3. In the new chart, right click the category axis and select axis properties, Click on the labels tab, check on
'Hide axis labels' and then click ok
4. Now set the Visibility property of both the charts depending on the rows returned from your main dataset
   a. click on your main chart and set its Hidden property to :
=iif(CountRows("MainDataSet"),false,true)
   b. click on the new blank chart added and set its Hidden proprety to (the opposite) :
=iif(CountRows("MainDataSet"),true,false)
   Note : Please change the dataset name in above expression "MainDataset" to the name of your chart's dataset
5. Resize the new chart to the same size as your main chart, then position the new chart on the place as the main chart.
   (Note : You can set the position of new chart to be same by copying the location property from the main chart)
6. Now run and observe the result. When there are no rows returned by your main dataset, the new chart (the blank chart) should be displayed.

Dear All,
I have to show Date and Time with TimeZone abbreviation,
for example:
1) 31 March 2011 2:30 in india standard time - it should show in screen 31 March 2011 2:30 IST.
2) 31 March 2011 2:30 in Australia/New Zealand - Eastern time zone it should show in screen 31 March 2011 2:30 AEST.
how can i show *Australia/New Zealand - Eastern time zone to AEST*,
I tried with format DD MMM YYYY HH:MM zzz, and i looked time zone API too.

How to run the APD programmatically with different query variables

I have a requirement to run a APD with a query in it programmatically on a series of posting periods from 1 to 10 I want to run the APD once for each posting period.
Any idea how I can do this.

Create a variable on posting period in the query.
in tcode RSRT, choose the query name , here you have the option of creating query variants. create different variants and save it.
In APD, when you choose the query, you have the option of choosing query variant, choose the variant you created in rsrt.
You can automate by including the APD with different query variants in a PC.

I did get exactly.....but if i m right then you can do this by selecting the keyfigure goto the calculation tab select calculate result as sum or whatever you want to use.

How to create a DB Adapter with select query having inner query

Hi All,
I am trying to create a DB Adapter with select query. The query has some inner queries in it. It is just like this select a, b, c, (select d from e) d, (select e from e) e from tablename.
The problem here is with the xsd generated for this query. Xsd is not getting generated properly for all the fields it is just getting generated till c element and when it encounters
the inner query it is stopping the generation of xsd. So for the above query the xsd is something similar to the below

I don't think the parser will be able to understand your query properly... I would try building the xsd manually...

How to show two different plots with current system time and date on waveform chart

I am using one waveform chart to display the more than one value continiously. The data are comming properly but i am not getting my system (pc) time and date on x axis. It is showing default date and time (i.e.01/01/1904 5:30:45). Please give me suggestions to display the real time and date on x axis of waveform chart.

How does your data look like? Do you graph waveform data types, dynamic data, or plain arrays/clustes? In the case of plain arrays, you need to set x0 to the absolute start time of your data, e.g. with a property node.
I you would attach your code (or an image) we could offer more specific advice. There are too many possibilities.

How to link a marketing characteristic with a table? ( TR CL03 - CT04 - BP)

Hello,
I'm trying to link a table (CRM_MKTPL_CAMPAIGN field : EXTERNAL_ID) with a mkt characteristic so that the user could select a value for this characteristic through a matchcode in transaction BP.
I understood that i had to deassign the characteristic of the echaracteristic group in TR CL03 in order to change some information in it via TR CT04.
I managed to set the Table CRM_MKTPL_CAMPAIGN in the "Addnl data" section but when I reassign the characterictic to a group and go to transaction BP, nothing happens with the matchcode button.
Is it possible to do it? did i do something wrong?

I found the answer myself, after posting this, of course!
I changed:

How to show large images along with cursor while dragging ?

While dragging images, image has to be shown along with cursor. In normal dragging process, only (32, 32) size of the original image size only appears.
But in my application, I need to show image with its original size along with cursor while dragging. So i need an application (program) or
suggestions which can meet the above requirement. It is an urgent issue for me. Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

I am new to ADF and want to resolve one issue for my urgent project requirement.
My Problem is :
In Employee, Department relationship i need to show data in a grouping of departments like for Marketing department all the related employees should come in a single column.

You can create two value nodes for storing these collections. The first one would be singleton node as it is the main list. Under that create the second node with singleton = false.
e.g.

Now populate collection of object A in NodeA and after adding element in NodeA populate respective elements in NodeB.

Bind NodeA to the first table and NodeB to second one.
After that when you select record in first table automatically its corresponding records will be populated in second table.

How to show Chinese named file with JFileChooser

I have a simple java code that could open a file and copy it to another directory. My problem is that if running it with a Chinese Windows 2000 OS, when select "File Open" and try to locate the file from a folder, the files with Chinese name could not be properly displayed. The weired part is that if you choose the Chinese named file, it could be shown correctly in the file name panel.
When my application starts on a Chinese WIN2000 OS, saw warning as "Default charset GBK not supported, using ISO-8859-1 instead"

   I have encountered a problem. I want to use Time-Dependent Chart. And want to display different value according characteristc's valid from time. For Example,
The Characteristic 0COSTCENTER has the navigation attribute 0COMPANY, The data as:

I want the report can display as :
0COSTCENTER   Valid from   Valid To       0COMPANY AMOUNT

But when I set the query's key date 20070420, the report display as:
0COSTCENTER   Valid from   Valid To       0COMPANY AMOUNT

when I set the query's key date 20070520, the report display as:
0COSTCENTER   Valid from   Valid To       0COMPANY AMOUNT

Can anybody tell me how I can get report expected.

1) Add the characterstics 0COSTCENTER ,0DATETO,DATEFROM and 0COMPANY to the cube.
2) And also add these 4 IOs to the Communication structures which has update rules with the concern cube.
3) I hope , you already have 0COSTCENTER in the Commnication structure and mapping for that infoobject at both Update rules and Transfer rules.
4) Leave to the Blank(no mapping) mappings for the IOs 0DATETO,DATEFROM and 0COMPANY in the Transfer rules.But make 1:1 mapping in the Update rules for these 2 infoobjects.
5) Write the below code in the strt routine of the Update rules:
TYPES: BEGIN OF type4.
      include structure like /BI0/QCOSTCENTER.
TYPES END OF type4.
DATA:
ITAB4 TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF TYPE4
       WITH HEADER LINE
