How to show/hide a link column in a report, depending on another column?

Hello,
I had a situation similar to this. I had NULL selected in the column when I wanted to hide the link. Please find below more explenation:-
<b>example report </b>
Interactive Report
Col1     col2     col3
1          a1       a2
2          b1       b2
-           c1       c2
-           d1       d2
-------------------------------------------In the above Report <b><i>col1</i></b> is a link . Upon clicking this, user should will be directed to Page XX
so, when data in col2 of report is c1 or d1[can be a different display condition, you may want to implement this with CASE or anyother SQL construct] , I selected NULL which will not show the link.
so, my point is, if the SQL you have in the INTERACTIVE REPORT is creative enough to have NULL in the column, Link is not enabled.

you mean using translation manager? or data from DB? or both.
You need to make sure that your DB is already configured for multiple languages.
Enable the OS for multi languages
On XIR3.1, you will need to install language packs on the processing servers. then you can utilize translation manager.
Installation of Language Packs are a pain to install and update.

How can I have a radio group column based on an LOV utilizing another column on the same row of the report?
For example: what if I had a survey application and depending on the likert scale that was assigned to the question there would be different possible answer choices:
Question 1 on row 1 of the report: The class instructor was friendly?
Likert scale choice is Agreement.
Choices on Radio Group: Strongly Agree, Agree, Undecided, Strongly Disagree
Question 2 on row 2 of the report: The class offered good materials?
Likert scale choice is Quality.
Choices on Radio Group: Excellent, Below Average, Average, Above Average, Excellent
The radio group can change per row depending on the Likert scale assigned to the question which is assigned to a different column on the row.
Can LOV utilize the column? :
SELECT scale_text
FROM scale_choices
WHERE scale_category_choice_id = 2 <<= this would be the Likert scale identifier
ORDER
BY display_order

Actually in my report 4 different columns belongs to service orders information from different departments, i want see all 4 columns information in to single column, those four are virtual characteristics.

How to show/hide total based on selected column in column selector

Is there a way to show/hide the total based on what column is selected in the column selector? Or alternatively to hide the total based on the column selected? I'm using OBIEE 10g.
Basically, I have a pivot table with a handful of row variables and one measure. Then I allow the user to select the column variable. The default is to have nothing, which I have achieved using the hidden/dummy column trick (Re: How to add new columns by using Multiselect However, if my pivot table is set to have a total, I now get 2 columns that are the same. When the user selects any other choice (e.g. gender), I would want to see Male, Female and the total. Something like this:
Default:
Count
East 10
West 20
Total 30
Gender:
Male Female Total
Count Count Count
East 6 4 10
West 14 6 20
Total 20 10 30
Any thoughts?

I have requirement in portal CE 7.1 as follows.
all GP tasks are getting displayed in UWL that is fine.
i want to hide the link "Attachment" in the preview of a Task??
once i open the task from UWL then that task item opens in new window where i am getting the "Attachment" link that i wanted to hide or remove.

There are Subject, From, Send Date, Attachment .... columns.
Do you want to hide Attachment column?

How can I have the attachments options be hidden? Our users do not want to add attachments.
In the UWL iview properties update the proprety "List of preview sections to hide (SUBJECT, ATTRIBUTES, DESCRIPTION, ATTACHMENTS, NOTES, USERDECISION, and/or ACTIONS)." Enter ATTACHMENTS as a value.

If you want to show/hide showSearch button, you can execute this line to show the button,
this.FindControl("showSearch").IsVisible = true;
Or execute the line below:
this.FindControl("showSearch").IsVisible = false;

I need to show/hide and control other properties such as required, readonly etc from UI.
Can somebody please tell me how I can do that as I am able to save and retrieve the fields from another UI, now the need is to apply them once the Application starts.

To show/hide UI elements follow below procedure.
1) define a attribute(VISIBLE in this case) element in the context of type WDUI_VISIBILITY
2) in the UI element properties(Visible) bind the above attribute with the element you want to make visible/Hide.
3) call below method to hide the UI element
    wd_context->set_attribute(
     EXPORTING
       name = 'VISIBLE'
       value = cl_wd_uielement=>e_visible-none ).
4)     wd_context->set_attribute(
     EXPORTING
       name = 'VISIBLE'
       value = cl_wd_uielement=>e_visible-visible ). for display.
You have to call these method at the right spot.

Adobe removed Flash Text and Flash Buttons from CS4 for accessibility reasons. Flash buttons aren't web friendly. And if you use this approach, you'll need to work in Flash because DW doesn't write Action Script for you.
That said, you could do something similar without Flash.

How to show/hide passwords in outlook

I can show/hide passwords in yahoo but not in outlook. How do I show in outlook

I'm guessing you can press the little icon to the right of the password field to see the password. I'm using Ubuntu so I don't know what the icon looks like. It should be like a black WiFi signal or something. You should be able to click/hold that to see the password.
Were you able to show that password before or is this the first time you've tried? You can try to clear the cookies for outlook.com to see if that helps but as far as I know, Windows 8 should be able to show/hide the password.

This will only work with a TOC in overlay:
Create a shape button, which you can put on master slides, or time for the rest of the project. It will act as a toggle button to turn TOC on/off.
Create an advanced or a shared action (the last makes it easier to reuse in other projects):
Toggle cpCmndTOCVisible

The sister application to Keynote is Pages which can show non printing characters so you should use that;

Right click on the export link, select copy url. Create a button with redirect to URL. Use that URL (or at least everything with and after f?p). Bind rights to the button.
Or create a second identical report with different rights, give one export enabled and one disabled. The first is better, the second is easier :)

Yes, it can be done. You just need to reference the actual button, rather than the radio button group.
It is best if you name the radio button group AND all of the individual radio buttons.
If the radio button group was named "myRadioButtons" and the three rb were named "yesRB", "noRB", and "maybeRB". All of this is in the hierarchy.
Then this script in the click event of the checkbox would work:
if (this.rawValue == 1)
myRadioButtons.maybeRB.presence = "hidden";
else
myRadioButtons.maybeRB.presence = "visible";
