In my case, I have an input text field and would like to copy it's value on the onchange() event into another text field. Using the destination text field's Id and assigning some content with it's .value property

How to interchange sign for the field

Hello Experts,
My interface is ABAP proxy to JDBC , ECC is sending the data PI has peocessed succesfully but it in receiver channel throwing Invalid identifier i find that Paylaod has one field like
<STOCK_QTY>58.931-</STOCK_QTY> in this quantity has negative value,sign is after the value data base is not accepting this format it will accept
<STOCK_QTY>-58.931</STOCK_QTY> it will accept this format sign should be before the value.How to change the sign to before the value when it is after the value what function i has to use for changing like this
And one more if STOCK_QTY comes with positive nothing changes has to be done only if it is negative sign after the value we have to change the sign to before the value.
Any help is highly appreciated

How to remove hash in the value of the field fetched from application serve

   I am populating values of the file which is in the application server to the internal table. But for the last field hash is also populating from the file along with the value.
Please suggest me how to remove hash in the value of the last field.

    wa_bom_file-status = c_status.
    APPEND wa_bom_file TO i_bom_file.
But it is not working.

How do I print out the value returned by a method in main??

I'm a total newbie at java, I want to know how I can print out the value returned by this function in the "Main" part of my class:

I just want to know how to print out the value for total price under "public static void main(String[] args)". thanks in advance,

Few ways you could do it, one way would be to create an instance of the class and call the method:
public class Test
    public double getTotalPrice(int price)
        double totalprice = price + (price * 0.08);
        return totalprice;
    public static void main(String[] args)
        Test t = new Test();
        System.out.println(t.getTotalPrice(52));
}Or another would be to make getTotalPrice() static and you could call it directly from main.

How to get the value of an input text in a table

all,
i have an adf table component on my jsf page and i added an input text component to one of the table columns. how do i access the value of that input text in my backing bean? normally, i would just do a getValue(), but because the input text is in the table i'm assuming it has to be treated as an array somehow.
any help would be appreciated,

I found a solution to fetching the column values. I created a transient attribute on my view object and bound my column to the transient attribute. Then I used this post from Duncan Mills

to get to the data by looping through the table rows.
However, I'd still like to use the value from this transient attribute in logic to populate some other columns in the table. I
for example, here's the content of what's submitted:
name phone transient

paul null 555
mary null 444
In my backing bean I'd like to get the rows from the table and read the value of the transient attribute, pass it through a function, and set the value of the column phone to some value for each row. Then have that processed to update the db. Is this possible?

CL_SALV_TREE: How to read the value of a double-clicked field

I have build a list with CL_SALV_TREE. When the user makes a DOUBLE CLICK in a especially field of a line I want to call a transaction with the field's value.
Can you please tell me how exactly I can get the value of the double-clicked field?
Reacting on the double-click-event is no problem (thanks to the sap-sample-codes), but I just don't know how to find the item-value having node-key and columname.
I got this far:

You need to get the Node and node value of the selected column like this.

How do I copy the value of a managed metadata field into a text column in the same list?

I have a SharePoint designer workflow that I am trying to use to copy the value of a managed metadata field, into a text field. So basically my workflow is this...
Stage 1: Set [MyColumnValue] to [%Current Item:MyColumn_0%]
Go to End of Workflow
This seems like a simple enough task, but each time an item is added or updated in my List, all I get for my new column [MyColumnValue] is just a link that says "Stage 1". Am I missing something here? Shouldn't this workflow be able to just copy
the value from the managed metadata column to the text column?

When you create a workflow on a list/library it automatically creates a new FIELD with the name of workflow and it's status. It sounds like you're viewing the Workflow status field, and not the field that the workflow is putting the values into. Make sense?
So edit the view and add the new field in.

Want to hide the drop down based on text field value

I want to hide some of the values in drop down based on one text field value.
I have the field called name which has the value A, B, C, D and also one drop down list which has the values 1,2,3,4,5,6. I want to hide the some of the values in drop down based on A or B or C. Let say, If it is A, drop down value should be 1,3,5. If it is B, Drop down value should be 1,2,3,4. Like this for every record.
Can you please help me out.

I am trying it in two different way. Please suggest which is the right one and feasible.
1) I have the drop down list which has all the status. I am trying to hide the drop down values based on one text field value for all records.
2) I have collected all the drop down values into table in webdynpro method. Rightnow I have two tables.
one has line items details and another one have drop down values. both tables having common fields.
I have to show second table values for that particular key, move all of them to drop down.
Which is the best and feasible option.

Can I use the value returned from a Text Function in another Formula?

I'm writing a report in Hyperion System 9 BI + Financial Reporting Studio version 9.2. I have 2 grids in my report.
Grid1 Column A is set up as a text function using the function type - <<GetCell("Grid2", 1, a, 1)>>. I would like to use the values returned from this text function in Column A (Grid 1) in a formula in Column B (Grid 1).
Is it possible to use the values returned in Column A of the text function in another formula? My report does not seem to recognize Column A as numerical values, even though the values to be returned are numerical.
If so, how do I recognize the values in Column A Grid 1 as numerical values and not text?

Yes you need to use the CALC_ERROR macro function to be able to test whether the last macro function returned an error. CALC_ERROR will return an 'X' if there an error occured during the execution of the last macro function.
You can use a macro similar to the following:
IF

      DO SOMETHING HERE
ENDIF
Let me explain how this works internally. The SAP system maintains a global variable g_flg_calc_error during the execution of macros in the planning book. The g_flg_calc_error variable will contain the value of f_calc_error that was set by the last macro function which executed. The ABAP coding of a planning book is something like this:
data: g_flg_calc_error type /SAPAPO/FLAG.
* SAP will pass g_flg_calc_error variable to all macro
* functions. When SAP calls a macro function, it does
* something like this.

The CALC_ERROR macro function just checks the value of f_calc_error parameter (w/c in fact is the value of the g_flg_calc_error variable) and returns "true/X" if the f_calc_error was set to true by the last macro function.

I am using struts framework and I need to get a value in a textfield both in java part and javascript part

I dont know how can I reach the value user entered in that field in the javascript function

the javascript expression document.forms[0].identityNumber.value should do it.
You do realise you can't run java and javascript at the same time though right? The only way javascript can communicate with java is to submit an http request (normally submit form)

then some format we have to write in todate syntax
then your final formula for date would be
