How to Show survey to external Customers

Hi,
We are designing a Self Serve portal for customers. We want customers to complete certain surveys from time to time and these
surveys have to be posted to CRM & BI after completion from Customer.
We need to show this Survey as a Link in our portal. Please suggest me ways to do it & How do I make any Survey (designed in CRM_SURVEY_SUITE) available for Customers outside the Intranet, i.e. they can complete the survey using the link through internet. Emails with survey link attached are not to be implemented in our scenario.

If you are not using the e-mail scenario, I think you have to do a lot of work to meet this requirement.
1.) Why it is important to have e-mail scenario.
     E-mails will give you personalization. You can get the information from each individual (BP). It is possible to find out who filled
     the survey. Updating the information against the BP is possible.
2.) What is the complexity if you do not have e-mail:
     You should come up with a logic on how to find out each BP or user. Since it is internet, you can ask them to create an user id
      in your portal. But, you need to use the user information (pass the user information in the URL) which can be read by survey
      PAI. Actual survey answers are never a problem. The complexity lies in identifying the person. If you can give this information
      to the survey PAI, you can achieve what you are expecting.
Hope this helps or atleast clarifies the survey behavior.

Airport Extreme won't show the WD external hard drive I plugged into the USB port. How do I connect my external hard drive to my network?

I plugged in my WD external hard drive into my Airport Extreme via the USB port. The hard drive will not show up in the disk section in the airport utility... How do I hook an external hard drive up to the airport extreme? I have tried 2 different WD hard drives. I must be missing something!!!

To be recognized by the AirPort for sharing, the WD HDD has to be formatted in either HFS+ (ideal) or FAT32. The easiest way to format the HDD is to use the Disk Utility in OS X.

When you erased the disk did you select Mac OS Extended Journaled as the format option?

Invalid sibling link may not be fixable by Disk Utility. (Disk Utility is very conservative, and will not attempt repairs that might cause you to lose data.)
It is an indication of serious Directory damage.
that leaves
a) third-party Utilities that will take those risks, or
b) re-initializing the drive (which deletes all your data) and restoring from another backup source.
c) "Copying off whatever files you can salvage" has gone by, and you cannot copy anything off a drive that will not mount. You may be able to use "rescue" programs such as prosoft engineering Data Rescue to copy files to another drive, but that sounds a lot better than its reality. You may get many files, but not get ANY filenames.

In Finder's Menu, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes". (no quotes)
Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.
Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1 or 2 if there are no real files in them, and reboot.

what do you mean with "How to show external harddisk in linux"?
You should see a list of your mounted filesystems with the command:
$> mount -l
If your HD is mounted you should see its name and mountpoint in this list.
To read its contents, run:
$> ls /path/to/mountpoint/

Interestingly, in my experience, using the method described above of unchecking the "Show Connected Servers" box in the Finder Preferences makes no difference in what I can put in the sidebar. I was able to move a sub-folder of a shared disk to the Favorites section of the Finder Sidebar, but nothing else. (i.e. I could not add the shard disk itself to the sidebar – either to the devices, favorites, or any other section, and I could only add a subfolder of the shared disk to the favorites section – not to the devices section or any other section). This was the same whether I had "Show Connected Servers" checked or not.
I'm running OS X Mavericks, and the setup I have is with a previous generation Time Capsule (i.e. the short, square kind that you could buy before the most recent taller variety came out last year), with a LaCie 3 TB USB 3.0 external drive plugged into the USB port of the Time Capsule. I'm then accessing this network drive over WiFi. The differences in what I'm seeing may be due to some change they made in the way Mavericks handles these setups.
I could also just be misunderstanding what you're saying, but I thought I'd add this in case anyone else gets similar results so that they'd know they're not alone. Let me know if I'm missing something here.

1) Can I transfer my TV shows to an external drive?
2) If I erase these files, can I download them again? I bought a movie I erase it to make space, but I went to the Itunes store again and it says I have to pay for it.
3) Can use ICloud to store my TV shows? and how is it done if possible?

You can move the files to an external drive. Delete the entry from your collection but don't let iTunes delete the file. Copy the file to the external, then drag to iTunes to add it again. Hold down the option key while doing this so the file doesn't get copied to the internal again.
Alternatively use: Dougscripts: Relocates selected files to a folder of your choice - http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=relocateselected - replaces "Move Files To Folder" to move files.
2) I wouldn't trust Apple or the media companies. They could decide tomorrow to not allow a second download and you'd be stuck. The media company could decide to pull an item from iTunes Store. You are the only person who can be relied upon to ensure you always have access to your media copies.

Kappy Thanks for help.. I had already tried the Disk Utility but external drive did not show. What worked was to shut down every thing and shut off power to all. Disconnect power to the external drive. Connected power to computer and then restarted the computer. After the computer was up and running, I reconnected power to external drive and then turn it on. If you want to format the External drive as universally compatible, your best bet is to format it as exFAT. Note that reformatting the drive erases all contents of the drive.
1) Open Disk Utility located in /Applications/Utilities/ (or simply type it in spotlight and the application will show up)
2) Select the external Hard drive
3) Click the 'erase' tab.
4) Under format: select exFAT
5) Click "Erase" in the lower right hand corner to reformat the drive.

ITunes won't show library on external hard drive

I have just bought a MacBook Pro but I don't know how to get library on external hard drive to show in iTunes... Any suggestions please?

This is relevant portion of the support document with a bit of editing for clarity.
If iTunes is running, quit iTunes.
Using a Mac click the icon to open iTunes and immediately press and continue to hold down the Option key.
You should see the following screen:
If iTunes opens normally, close it and try again.
Once you've got that dialog you have two options. If your previous iTunes library database is stored on the external drive use Choose Library to browse to it and open it. If you only have the media folder on the drive then use the Create Library option to create a new iTunes library at /iTunes on the external, move the media folder to /iTunes/iTunes Media and then add it to your new empty library.

How to re-format an external drive?

I had a G3 iMac with a 160 GB internal drive that was running an earlier version of OS-X. When I installed that drive, there was a limitation that only allowed it to recognize about 120 GB of that drive.
I now have an iMac G5 and want to use the 160 GB drive from the G3 iMac as an external USB drive. When I connect it to the G5 iMac, the drive is recognized, but only shows a total of 120 GB of total space.
How can I reformat this external drive to allow it to recognize the entire 160 GB of space which the newer versions of OS-X now can do?

Thanks! My problem is solved. When I was in Disk Utility, I had been clicking on the partition name in the list on the left side of the window. It wasn't until I clicked on the level above the partition name (which I assume represents the actual hard drive) that the Partition tab became available. Once I could get to the partition window, it was quick and easy to delete the old partition and create a newer one that recognized the whole amount of space on the drive.
