How To Simulate the Variant Functionality of se11.

Hi all,
In Module Pool Program, in the Subscreen I have Kept the select-options for 4 zfields(custom fields).
and there is Save Button in the Main Screen that is Calling the Subscreen Below.
My Requirement now is ,When SAVE is Done , I have to store all the conditions and values if entered in the Zfields just like a variant does and the Key No will be automatically generated.
So that when they come to the screen again and give that no it has to produce the all the conditions and value set earlier from the table..
The SAme functionality as of variant does , But when I debugged that , I am unable to trace how that does.
PLease help me out.
I know that variant are stored in VARID,VARIT,VARI But how these tables get updated and how the values are getting on to screen when selected..
Please Share the Ideas.

Hi ,
In this case, what you can do is :
- when user clicks on save --> give him a popup/screen to save variant name
- take all value that have to be saved and save it in table TVARVC with the variant name
- next time you have to retrieve the variant values just do a retrieval from TVARVC and fill up your select options.

How to simulate the escalation process

Hi All,
Can somebody tell me how to simulate the escalation process in service?I need to know whether all configuration in my system has done or not done yet....
In my system if there's a problem in customer system for more than 7 hour, then system will detect the problem and send an sms/email to the person responsible in some level (ex: level 1 for SLG 95%), if the customer system still have a problem for more than 10 hour, then system will send an sms to person responsible in level 2, etc.
I want to know how can I simulate this escalation process in CRM service manually. I'm using CRM 5.0. Any helpful answer will be rewarded. Thank you.

Hi Aleluya,
You can use date types which will have the times at which the trigger of mail is supposed to happen and once the current date and time is equal to say date type 1 there can be an action setup to send a mail to a particular partner function .
Also you can use status condition for controlling the mails ..

p.s. My initial problem was that when i left my specific
cell (the cell is editable combo box), an edited words
which were written by me vanished , and when i get back to that cell the edited word showed again!!!
when i pressed the enter key the edited word were stable in the cell!!!
when I chose a word from the combo evrything was ok!!

Hi Arnab,
The expression is checked only for the current MDM session.
If u login with the ABC language it will always show the ABC language no matter how many times u execute it.
Try connecting to the DM with the XYZ language.
It should go to the if part rather than else.

How to use the CMS functionality using the ccd.war(Portlet) which is available in the library as i could add it to my channel but not able to show the functionality as it is showing the error msg "You are currently not logged in. Please login." should I create userid and there respective roles inorder to use the CMS functionality.
Has any one used this as I could this in glass fish server.
Any Input is appreciated.

1. ccd.war has 3 portlets in it:
(a) custom content definition portlet
(b) custom content portlet
(c) workflow portlet
2. Inorder to work with these portlets, user needs to be in anyone of the below roles:
(a)Consumer (b) Editor (c) Approver (d) Administrator (e) Submitter (f) Contributor (g) Publisher
3. By default ccd.war gets deployed using a default roles file (/var/opt/SUNWportal/tmp/ccd.roles.properties)
Note: In windows, you may not find this file
4. Access the portlets as a user in any of the role mentioned in the ccd.roles.properties
(OR)
you can use a new roles file which has mapping to your custom roles. For this , undeploy existing ccd.war and deploy again with a new roles.properties file

When it is activated,
each user can have his own slecetion and list criteria for
1. List shippment costs:calculation
2. List shippment costs: settlement
This can be directly saved from VI01 screen by the user.
from environment> lists
This is user specific only.

Variants are stored in table VARI and VARID.
You can use RS_ALL_VARIANTS_4_1_REPORT to get all the variants for a report program.

we use use set functions on heirarchies with aggregate functions mostly .
If you include member_set, Min returns the minimum value of the aggregated data for all members in the member set.
Member_set can include multiple sets separated by semicolons (;).
The list of member sets must be enclosed in {}.
If the member set expression does not specify a precise member or node, the hierarchy referenced must be present in the table, then the member set expression references the current member in the hierarchy in the table. If the hierarchy is not in the table, the function returns the message #MULTIVALUE.

You can use this function when you want to show your Measure only at lower level .

not sure if this is what you meant.. in VK13 enter the condition for which you want to maintain variant & press
enter.. fill in the Sales Orgn,Distbn Channel & Divion Values.. Use the menu option Edit> save as Variant> enter the variant name & desc and SAVE..
