How to solve this program?

Recently I get this work:
I need to write one program in Java that running on local or internet browser that can connect to database. This database is located on LAN or Internet database server. This database contain information about machine type, price, status, department, owner, history of used, services served.
This is multi-user program that many user can using it on one time. Depend on the right of user, he can update, delete these information or not. So if user has right, he can delete and update information. And this program also has tools that user can list type of machine, the number of person on departments, machine configuration, history of working and upgrading; used resourses.
For example, I want to find how many server HP 3000 that my conpany own, who or which department use, status of them.
How can I solve? If you have experince in this kind of program, please help me.

if the application must be able to run locally and in a web browser then you have the following options:
Swing: Use ADF JClient and create an Applet that runs stand alone. Thsi way you can sue the web browser to show the Apllet while others run it stand alone as an application
Swing/JSP: You create one model for the business logic and two views. The ADF JClient view as a Java application to run stand alone on local clients and a JSP client for the web. Its a bit more work to do because you are creating two views, but the result may be worth the effort.
Question the need for local client: If nobody uses a local database, what's the purpose of having an application that runs locally if not the requirement is for desktop integration? In this case I would create a client for the web browser only.

Further to my earlier post, I have just read an entry noting that if you already own a domain name, and ask your hosting service to forward and mask your iWeb '08 created, web.mac.com site to your personal domain, chances are that due to the masking of the site on web.mac.com, Safari browsers interpret the masking as being the end of the site, and as such, just return a blank page?
This may explain the problem. However, call me old fashioned, and possibly a little naive, but surely this cannot be the problem?? It's OK in Firefox!

After installing Lion os I cannot see my desktop 1 nor can I see my open windows when I go to finder, I just get the grey/black background that comes with mission control. Any ideas as to how to solve this problem?

The top picture is what my Desktop 1 looks like. And the picture below is what my desktop looks like after clicking mission control. Ive tried changing wallpapers, changing preferences, etc. and I still can't figure out what's wrong. As you can see, on mission control you can't see any of the open windows, or anything that I have placed on my desktop. Any ideas as to how to solve this issue?

Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time.

I saw the below quote on Adobe forum
"You may install software on up to two computers. These two computers can be Windows, Mac OS, or one each."
If i install each application in single single system the system count is more than two. In this case, are we have any license issue? Please advice how the problem will solve?

I already answered that. If you purchased a Suite then you can only install and activate it on two machines. Even if you only insdtall one of the applications of that suite, it counts as one activation of the suite. You cannot take the six or seven different applications that might be in a suite and install and activate them in six or seven different machines... only two machines.
If your scenario will allow for it, one thing you can do is install the programs on all the different machines and only activate two of the machines at any given time. If you need to activate a program on a third machine then you need to deactivate on one of the currently activate machines first so that you have an open activation to use again. I do not remember if there is a limit to the total number of activations you can process for the life of the software.

Actually 32 datapackets are there for this info package,at 31 datapacket error is getting,31 datapacket is not available in PSA.
At datapacket level this error message is also there

This happened for the customized master data Z********(customer number). Data source; 0CUSTOMER_ATTR
I have undertaken the following actions but all failed.
1. Replicated the data source, activated the transfer structure through a program and the load was run but the load failed with the same issue.
2. Pushed the data till PSA and tried to edit it in the PSA, but here too the load failed with the same issue.
It is understood that the data source 0CUSTOMER_ATTR is obtained from the Funtion Module: MDEX_CUSTOMER_MD
Out of 5 data packages, I could find only 3 data packages in PSA which are successful, the remaining had error and could not be found in PSA. Checked in R/3 but could not catch the correct record, since, did not had proper info. UMSA1 refers to Annual Sales, which are empty in R/3 and BW as well.
The UMSA1 field in data source 0CUSTOMER_ATTR in BW.

If by the "screen asked to upload" you mean you see a message to upgrade Numbers, then probably what is happening is that you have two versions of Numbers on your Mac, the new version in the main Applications folder and the old one in a subfolder named 'Work '09. This is as intended.
Try opening your document with the new version of Numbers that is in the Applications folder, not the Numbers that is in the subfolder.

I think you just miss gtkrc.. Try to create or generate one with for example gtk-theme-switch2.

I had the same probelm and found that the problem lies with 64bit programs such as safari and microsoft internet explorer. I have resolved the issue on my PC based server by using a 32 bit ie and same on my mac by using the same running windows under parallels.
So far the problem with the 64 bit side of it is still to be resolved.
Hope this helps and gets you guys up and running until suchtime a 64 bit solution is found.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan. Remove it as follows.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. These instructions are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Step 1
From the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
Step 2
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Right-click or control-click the line and select
          Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)

That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Internet criminal behind VSearch has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass.
