How to stop new record creation when mouse click

Hi,
I am working with Oracle Forms 6i.
I have a multi record block. I have provided a 'New' button that the user should click when a new record creation is required. This is because there is some other function that needs to be performed when the new record is created. Specifically, on clicking the new button, the program populates the field with values read from another table. This works fine.
However, I realized, that if the user clicks on the mutli-record block just below the last record, a new record gets created. This action does not cause the logic behind the 'New' button to execute and the record is created in a manner that is not acceptable.
First question is why does the new record get created only by clicking with the mouse with the pointer below the last record? Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Probably I was not able to explaing my problem.
I have a button that creates a new record when clicked. The button's trigger has the CREATE_RECORD statement.
When a new record is created, I need to copy values from the record above it. I have therefore used DUPLICATE_RECORD in my block's WHEN-NEW-RECORD-INSTANCE trigger.
I cannot use DUPLICATE-RECORD in WHEN-CREATE-RECORD trigger.
So, I am not clear about what you are suggesting.
My problem is that a new record gets created when click with my mouse pointer below the last record in the multi-record block. Why does that happen and how to prevent it?

I agree with Mr. Hall that using mx.controls.Alert in Flex may be a better route.
Show the Alert like this:

Then handle the response in the closeHandler() function:

FF34. How to stop new search starting when changing Search Enigine choice?

I switch a lot between different search enigines, such as IMDB, Mirrium-webster, Wikipedia, YACY ans so on, and with the prior versions when I chose a new Search Engine from the dropdown list it didn't instantly start a new search. I don;t want a new search commenced until I either press Enter or hit the Search Icon. How do I stop FF from doing this? The reason I don;t like FF doing this is because I don;t want the already searched for terms to be automatically used in a new search engine choice. THAT's the reason I choose to use another search engine previously.

You can revert to the old Search Bar scheme like this.

I'm a new beginner, the software I have is Adobe fl CS4. I succussfully created a scene with all correct layers including a start button action script. No errors works great. Now my next challenge is, how do I cause a word to apear? I created some objects that I want to select and cause a word to appear and color to change, once I hover over the object. It is like the same method when you create a 'start button.' Do I create another sub scene in the action script command?

How to identify new records in a table using OBIEE

I have price change table as and when a record comes into this table i have to generate an alert. Then show a report with the price changes on which i can invoke an action to go into my transactional system to make the chnage. And once the change is made the process again starts to look for any new price chnage records that are recieved.
Could anyone pls tell me how to identify new records in a table.

HDR-CX405 How to stop dual recording, only mp4 file needed.

Hello Sony, Yesterday i purchased HDR-CX405. My question is, how to stop dual recording? Only mp4 file needed. Both file created on memory card while shooing video scene - AVCHD and mp4. I don't want AVCHD (too big file), just want mp4 file only.

I would just like to confirm the answer VideoGeek posted. The camera can only record in Mp4 when it's set to Dual Rec. Both an AVCHD and Mp4 file will be created and written on your card. We would also suggest recording in AVCHD and later converting the file to Mp4 using the PlayMemories Home software.

When-Mouse-Click does not fire if When-new-item-instance exists

We are using Forms 6i Patch 12.
The When-Mouse-Click trigger (at block level) is not getting fired when a When-new-item-instance trigger exists on a given item on which mouse is clicked.
We need to synchronize keyboard and mouse events such that if the validation on certain key items fails, the cursor should go to one of the specified items as per the validation rules.
The validation rules are different on leaving from different items. Complex validation rules require cursor to go to a different item than the current item on which the validation fires.
Since go_item cannot be used in when-validate-item, we are using a combination of key-next-item and when-mouse-click.
But, this strategy seems to fail if mouse is clicked over an item having a when-new-item-instance trigger.
Also, we need the When-mouse-click trigger to fire before When-new-item-instance.
Any pointers to solving the firing of trigger or strategy will be appreciated!

You need to remove the association that Windows has with that particular file type. To do that, you need to open Windows Explorer. From there, click on Tools, then Folder options. Click on the tab that is named file types. You then need to find the extension for the photos that appear in the iPhone, then click that registered file type. Once you do that, there is a section to select the program to open that file type with. You can click on the change button, and that will allow you to change the program that it opens with, or restore the default. There is also a box that can be checked to always use the selected program. If you unselect it, it will prompt you next time on what program to use.

Thank you very much for your cooperation, yes when I change the “Database data block “ property to no, it works, as I wanted to be.
Notes about my application:
In my program I provide the store keeper query screen, he can check the orders and lock the specific order by clicking on the LOCK_FLAG field, so after he locked the field the requester user can not change his order content if it is locked by the store keeper
And the way I was trying to do it ,by query the data from      IM_REQUEST_HEADER Table which is the Order table which is the header table ,the form is displaying doc_code ,doc_date ,lock_flag,and the order store name ,and I provide him a report on the same form that he can see the details of the order items ,and all the field properties set to no, that is update allowed to no ,insert allowed set to no, but the field lock_flag property set as update allowed to yes and insert allowed set to yes
and I would like to now how it was displaying this message
ORA-01400 cannot insert NULL INTO “PROJ”.IM_REQUEST_HEADER”.DOC_CODE
And I was not inserting, I was just updating the lock_flag by the above update statement.

Greetings,
I need to be able to make scripts/macros by recording keystrokes and mouse clicks with location.
Is this possible with Automator?
Does anyone know of a way program to do this?

Keyboard shortcuts were often missed. For example, I tried this sequence many times.
0: (setup: text editor is scrolled to first line and cursor is at the beginning of the first line)
1: Click on text editor window to focus it.
2: press SHIFT-DownArrow to move cursor down one line and select the first line
3: press CMD-X to cut the line.
Automator never would capture those key strokes.
But today I has a break through. This sequence does work:

2: press SHIFT-UpArror to move cursor up one line and select the last line.
3: press CMD-X to cut the line.
about 70% of the time this did get recorded correctly (I did maybe 3 recordings and one failed to select). Once it got recorded correctly it worked reliably.
So it seems to be able to capture some sequences but not others. Both sequences work very reliably when I type them but automator can only capture the last sequence.
Thanks for the suggestions. This tool is better than nothing but not anything I would recommend.
