How to store the measured data in a new array

we want to put the measured data in a new array and then use this array to plot the SPC chart. Can anyone provide some suggestions?

are you using some kind of data acquisition? If you reading in a loop you can build an array using the autoindexing tunnel (best way). Or you can use the build array function with a shift register inside a loop. Can you post an example?

  • How to get the measurement data from IMU using SBRIO through SPI?

    Hi All,
I’am trying to use the SPI communication protocol to realize the bridge between my Vectornav VN100 IMU chip and the LABView through the SBRIO 9602. I amended the SPI sample code from NI website based on my own device and configuration. It compiled and ran well. The problem is the IMU we are using need a 16 bytes command and it will give back a response containing the measurement data. But it seems that with the code I have, I can only send an at most 32 bits command once. Hope anyone who has experience in IMU implementation on LABView could give me some help! Thanks a lot!
    Nick

    Kyle,
    Thank you very much!
I attached the amended program and the Manual Sheet of the IMU I am using.
Since I only need to one port, I just amended the configuration for port 1 and adjusted the code for my device.
I think the problem exist in the data sending mechanism, you can check the requirement out in P12 and P13 of the manual sheet.
    Best Regards!
    Nick

    Hi Ennius,
The timestamp control enables the input of the date and time. You can use this control to create u2018valid fromu2019 and u2018valid untilu2019 fields in order to restrict the lifetime of objects for time-based publishing.

  • How to store the XML data? file or database?

    i'm frustrate at it.
If store XML data into files, then when i query any data, how can i search data using relationship as SQL?
But if store XML data into database. How can i transform the xml data to the data table?
Can any one give me an clear example.

XML is perfect for data interchange and readability. However, to make it searchable you should resolve it properly into tables, in accordance of your own choice of model.
    1. Investigate the XML files and resolve the model
    <Person sex="male">John
    <Pet animal="dog">Doggy</Pet>
    <Pet animal="cat">Catty</Pet>
    </Person>
    2. Create the tables in your database, let one or several tables keep the raw xml for retrieval of original xml data.
    --- XMLDocument ---
    id XML_data
    --- Person ---
    id XML_Document_id sex name
    (foreign key)
    --- Pet ---
    id Person_id animal name
    (foreign key)
    3. Resolve data from the xml files and insert it into the database. Do this through your ContentHandler, or from your DOM model.
    --- XMLDocument ---
    id XML_data
    0 <Person>...</Person>
    --- Person ---
    id XML_Document_id sex name
    0 0 male John
    --- Pet ---
    id Person_id animal name
    0 0 dog Doggy
    1 0 cat Catty

  • How to store the member data of an object?

    hi,
how do i store the data member of an object in labview? I want the data to be available from a different vi as well. i'll cretae an object and would set some attributes to it. So when i call this object by its name from a different vi, i want the attributes that was set to the object to be displayed. how do i achieve this.

If the only thing you need is a container to store values, then, as I mentionned in your other post:
Do a search on "Action Engine" within this forum.  A sub-section of Action Engines is something called a "Functional Global Variable".
You can also do a search on that.  Functional Global Variables are VERY different from Globals or Shared Variables.  They are often used as a container to store values and allow to share among VI's.  It only retains the last value written to it (unless you modify the structure but I won't get into that).
Here is an example of what an AE looks like: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&view=by_date_descending&message.id=311549#M311549
    Another Action Engine example: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&view=by_date_descending&message.id=289773#M289773

  • How to copy the all data to another new table

    Hi,
    1) "How can I copy the data from one Data Dictionary Table to another new Table, in Dictionary"?
for eg.  (<i>In Dictionary,  I have one table named 'sflight' and now I want to copy the all data from 'sflight' to another new table named 'zabc'</i>)
    How can I do this?
    2) What is Logical Unit of Work or LUW.
    Thanks

    HI,
go to <b>se11</b>, give sflight (Your standard table name) in tables text,
No go to dictionary objects --> copy --> give new <b>Ztable</b> in <b>to table</b> text.
Like this you can copy the standard sap table to a new ztable..
A Logical Unit of Work (LUW or database transaction) is an inseparable sequence of database operations which must be executed either in its entirety or not at all. For the database system, it thus constitutes a unit.
LUWs help to guarantee database integrity. When an LUW has been successfully concluded, the database is once again in a correct state. If, however, an error occurs within an LUW, all database changes made since the beginning of the LUW are canceled and the database is then in the same state as before the LUW started.
    An LUW begins
o each time you start a transaction
o when the database changes of the previous LUW have been confirmed (database commit) or
o when the database changes of the previous LUW have been cancelled (database rollback)
    An LUW ends
o when the database changes have been confirmed (database commit) or
o when the database changes have been canceled (database rollback)
SAP memory and ABAP memoryUsing SAP memory. User-specific memory retained for the duration of the session. Can only be used for simple field values.
Using ABAP memory. Can be used to transfer data between internal modi. Can be used to transfer any ABAP/4 variables ( Fields, strings, internal tables, complex objects)
SAP memoryYou use the SPA/GPA parameters to pass data. These paramters are saved globally in memory. The paramters are indetified by a three-character code.
In dialog programs you can SET and GET these parameters in the attribute window of the screen field, by marking the SET and GET fields and put the name of the parameter in the ParameterId field.
In a program ( Dialog or Report ) you can use the GET PARAMETER and SET PARAMETER statements:
set parameter id 'RV1' field <fieldname>
get parameter id 'RV1' field <fieldname>
    rewards if useful,

  • How does Labview stores the binary data - The header, where the actual data starts etc.

I have problem in reading the binary file which is written by labview. I wish to access the data (which is stored in binary format) in Matlab. I am not able to understand - how the data will be streamed in to binary file (the binary file format) when we save the data in to a binary format through Labview program. I am saving my data in binary format and I was not able to access the same data in Matlab.
I found a couple of articles which discusses about converting Labview to Matlab but What I really wanna know is - How can I access the binary file in Matlab which is actually written in Labview?
Once I know the format Labview uses to store its binary files, It may be easy for me to read the file in Matlab. I know that Labview stores the binary files in Big Endian format which is
    Base Address+0 Byte3
    Base Address+1 Byte2
    Base Address+2 Byte1
    Base Address+3 Byte0
But I am really confused about the headers, where the actual data start. Hence I request someone to provide me data about - How Labview stores the Binary Data. Where does the original data start. Below attached is the VI that I am using for writing in to a binary file.

    Hi Everybody!
I have attached a VI (Write MAT file.vi - written in LabVIEW 7.1) that takes a waveform and directly converts it to a 2D array where the first column is the timestamps and the second column is the data points. You can then pass this 2D array of scalars directly to the Save Mat.vi. You can then read the .MAT file that is created directly from Matlab.
For more information on this, you can reference the following document:
Can I Import Data from MATLAB to LabVIEW or Vice Versa?
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/2F8ED0F588E06BE1862565A90066E9BA?OpenDocument
However, I would definitely recommend using the Matlab Script node (All Functions->Analyze->Mathematics->Formula->Matlab Script). In order to use the Matlab Script node, you must have Matlab installed on the same computer. Using the MatlabScript node, you can take data generated or acquired in LabVIEW and save it directly to a .mat (Matlab binary) file using the 'save' command (just like in Matlab). You can see this in example VI entitled MathScriptNode.vi - written in LabVIEW 7.1.
    I hope this helps!

    Hie
    u can use function
    F4_FILENAME
to pick the file from front-end or location.
    then use function
    WS_UPLOAD
    to upload into
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR p_file.
CALL FUNCTION 'F4_FILENAME'   "Function to pick file
        EXPORTING
          field_name = 'p_file'     "file
        IMPORTING
          file_name  = p_file.     "file
      CALL FUNCTION 'WS_UPLOAD'
       EXPORTING
         filename                       = p_file1
        TABLES
          data_tab                      = it_line
*then loop at it_line splitting it into the fields of your custom table.
    loop at it_line.
              split itline at ',' into
              itab-name
              itab-surname.
    endloop.
then u can insert the values into yo table from the itab work area.

  • How to store the datas in a .txt file in to a JTable in Java Swing

    Hi sir,
Here i want to know how to store the data's of a .txt file
in to a JTable in java swing.
Where here the .txt file like for eg,spooler.txt is in the server and from there it will come to my client machine what i have to do is to take that .txt file and store the datas of the .txt file
in a JTable. This is what i want.So pls. do help and provide the code as well.I will be thankful.Since i am involved in a project which involves this it is Urgent.
    Thanx,
    m.ananthu

You can't just display data from a text file in a JTable. You have you understand the structure of the data so that you can parse the data and create a table model that can access the data in a row/column format. Here is an example of a simple program that does this:

How exactly are you performing 'Analog to Digital'???
Grabbing image using camera OR performing data acquisition using DAQ card OR some other way????

  • How to store jsp session data of different user in util.hashmap

how to store jsp session data of different user in java.util.hashmap
and access the data of all user on the server side
The same example is given in professional jsp but its not working.
I can use getIds() of httpsessioncontext but it's depricated

    Hi
I'm trying to make an example.
With the following codes you can get the date from the session.
    request.getSession().getAttribute("sessionname")
To store it in a hashmap you could do it like this ->
    Hashmap hm = new Hashmap();
    hm.put(Object key, request.getSession().getAttribute("sessionname"));
I hope you understand it if not just write it!

  • How to get the pixel data so as to work on it?

    Hi all,
I am trying to write a plug-in that will crop and scale the image, edit the selection in the image document based on image data. For this purpose I need the pixel data of the image. How to get the image data as different pixels and what is the data structure used to store this data?
Assumption: No layers i.e., only background
    Thanks in advance,
    Sailu

    Hi Ilya,
Thank you for your post. In the plugin architecture you propose (automation + filter), do you have an idea about how to share the pixel data between the two plugins? I have found a post that gives details about how to get pixel data and show it using ADM components
Matthew Hollingworth, "ADM Color Managed Preview?" #1, 22 Oct 2007 11:53 pm but it supposes that you have a filter plug-in.
Again, does anyone knows how to preview the current image in a AUTOMATION plug in? This seems impossible.
Thank you all for your help

  • Is it possible for the test equip. to tell me the measured data is ready?

When programming to read from a test equipment (e.g. ocsilloscope)
connected to PC/GPIB, many times I have to set a delay before reading
the value, otherwise the return value will be some invalid numbers
(e.g., 0). To achieve valid test results and testing time reduction, I
used trial-and-error to get a "minimum" delay time. But even this
delay time which works for one equipment may not work for another.
    It's such a headache!!!
Is it possible to poll/inquire the status of the test equipment in the
program if the measured data is ready? If yes, how?
Thanks a lot for your answer!

If you are programming using VISA, the following link takes you to some examples of waiting until the instrument has data available. The example link also includes other examples of synchronizing your application with your instrument.
