How to store the webdynpro variable in broser's cookie

Hi,
I have the requirement like that I need to store the customer number in the browser's session such that this customer number is available to other aplications in the portal. other aplications are not only the the webdynpro aplications but also other aplications like crystal reports. I came to know that this can be done by storing the customer in the browser's cookies.
Please reply if any one know how to do this thing.

If i understand you correctly you want to store the values of the local variable whenever you read from it? If you want to do this then simply run a wire from the local variable (in read mode) to the edge of the while loop, right-click on the terminal and select 'enable indexing', and this will create an array of these values at this point.

In 10g, I had define an intializtion block to store the USER variable and pass it to a statement that has to be executed before the query is executed.
We use the Oracle VPD technology that allows to restrict data access. This is the statement that has to be executed before a query can run.
select vpd_adwh.setclnvpdcontext_fnc('VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.cuser)', UPPER(:USER))) from dual
That is the 10g version and it works fine.
In 11g, I tried to use
select vpd_adwh.setclnvpdcontext_fnc('VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.cuser)', UPPER('VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.USER)')) from dual
but this is not working.
Any help?

How to get the session variable value in JSF

This is Subbus, I'm new for JSF framewrok, i was set the session scope for my LoginBean in faces-config.xml file..
<managed-bean-name>login</managed-bean-name>
<managed-bean-class>LoginBean</managed-bean-class>
<managed-bean-scope>session</managed-bean-scope> like that...
So all parameter in LoginBean are set in session right ?... for example i used userId is the Parameter...
Now i need to get the the userId parameter from that session in my another JSP page.. how i get that ?..

session.getValue("userId");
but it retrieve only "null" value.. could u please help me.. it's very urgent one..

There is a simple image example available from OTN.
From the OTN main page, go to Products --> interMedia --> Sample Code. The name of the example is "Load rich media content with a browser."
This example loads and retrieves an image from an Oracle8i database through a web page using the Oracle interMedia Web Agent.

i am working on chat application. first i made a login GUI form. after login when we run the Chat program, it ask the ip address of the server to whom it want to connect. and if u enter the ip address, it will connect to the server and chat will begin, thats working perfect.
but i want to show the list of users who r logged on and when i simply click on the user name, chat should begin.
i have the logic that when any user log in, then its IP address will be stored in the database. this ip address will shown to the online users.
but i dont know how to store the user information in database when they log in. can any body suggest me wht lines of code i should use.

You can't just display data from a text file in a JTable. You have you understand the structure of the data so that you can parse the data and create a table model that can access the data in a row/column format. Here is an example of a simple program that does this:

I created two BW queries/universe and put them into one web intelligence report. Both queries have the same mandatory variable. I combined the relevant dimensions but can't find how to combine the two variables, which resulted in pop-up for 2 variables.

Just to close it,
Instead of working on existing reports.
Create new report(s) on top of these changed Universes(2).
1. New WebI report on top of Univ1 (With Prompt)
2. New WebI report on top of Univ2 (Without Prompt)
If both are working as expected. Do follow below:
1. Open any Report (just created in above steps)
2. Edit Query
3. Add Query
4. Select another Universe
5. Drag few objects
6. Run Queries
Now see it is working as expected or not.??
