How to switch to apache after install

I have successfully installed Apache 2.2.4 and CFMX7 with
internal Web server.
I now want to switch to use apache instead of the internal
web server.
Does anyone have the instructions for doing so? I can't seem
to find them.
Thanks.

This all works on Windows, there are just spme *nix-specific
instructions there.
1. Where did you install Coldfusion? If it's C:\cfusionmx7,
then search in there for your existing copy of wsconfig.jar
2. Rename it to wsconfig.jar.bak (you'll have to stop CF to
do this.)
3. Download the new version (link's in the TechNote).
4. Place the new wsconfig.jar in that folder.
5. Start CF
6. Run the Web Server Configuration Tool
a. Click Add
b. Choose Web Server: "Apache"
c. Under Configuration Directory, browse to the /conf folder
where you installed Apache (i.e. C:\Program Files\Apache Software
Foundation\Apache2.2\conf )
d. Check the box labeled "Configure web server for Coldfusion
MX applicaitons"
e. DO NOT click the Advanced button, those settings should
all be empty.
f. Click "OK".
Restart Apache and you should be up and running.

Well then maybe you could take a screenshot because the appearance of such a window is news to me.
Also post your OS X version and what model Mac you have. The more detail, the better. Thanks.
To take a screenshot hold ⌘ Shift 4 to create a selection crosshair. Click and hold while you drag the crosshair over the area you wish to capture and then release the mouse or trackpad. You will hear a "camera shutter" sound. This will deposit a screenshot on your Desktop.
If you can't find it on your Desktop look in your Documents or Downloads folder.
When you post your response, click the "camera" icon above the text field:
This will display a dialog box which enables you to choose the screenshot file (remember it's on your Desktop) and click the Insert Image button.
⌘ Shift 4 and then pressing the space bar captures the frontmost window.
⌘ Shift 3 captures the entire screen.
Drag the screenshot to the Trash after you post your reply.

  • How many free disk space after install OS X lion (10.7) ?

    Hi,
I would like to know that how many free disk space after install OS X lion (10.7) on MBA i5.
    Many Thanks,
    Eric

I want to buy MBA i5, I would like to free disk space of MBA 13" i5, Could anyone tell it to me? Thanks
As you're buing a new MacBook Air, it will come pre-installed with Lion.  The actual installation will be somewhat larger than a "clean" Lion install as it will come with iLife preinstalled.  Obviously, with an Air's limited storage space, you want to be sure that you have enough room for any applications and data that you'll want to keep on the SSD as well.  It is fairly easy to upgrade the SSD on an Air:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/SSD/OWC/Aura_Pro_Express
The amount of RAM you have installed is probably more important.  Fortunately, the newest 13" MacBook Airs all come with 4GB standard now.

  • How do I restore gid after installing Mavericks?

    Hi folks,
    quick question for you all.
Before installing Mavericks (I was running Mountain Lion), I was in the following situation:
I was user myname with uid=501, and
(besides other) I was member of a group called myname, which had gid=501.
    Now, after installing Mavericks,
I'm still user myname with uid=501,
    group myname still exists,
    but now has gid=20, and
I am no more member of it.
As a result, a few files / folders which were accessible before installation, are denied to me now (listing them in Terminal correctly displays them as assigned to gid=501, which unfortunately seems to be unknown to the system).
How do I fix this (apart from changing file permissions)? I presume I should just
take group myname and change its gid back from 20 to 501,
add back my membership to it.
But how do I go through first step? And, more importantly, am I at risk of doing something wrong?
(And why on earth would Mavericks do that?)
    Thanks in advance
    S

OK thanks I'll do that. I had actually upgraded to Lion, but when my data was read back to the new hard disk, obviously the upgrade wasn't. Thanks for your advice.

When i pressing C+M+F2 or even logout from X Session Then i can'nt access to tty consoles and just a black screen appears and nothing work even my mouse.
I have followed wiki and some forum workarounds to this issue for example disabling KMS or put vga= kernel param on grub,...but none of them dose'nt solved the problem!
    I have a ATI 6470M card :
    # lspci -nn | grep VGA

disable CPU power saving in BIOS settings

  • How to update PowerPC apps after installing Lion OS X?

I need to update my PowerPC apps after installing Lion OS X, and if not find a way to run them on Lion using a patch, emulator, converter or otherwise? All help appreciated, thanks for reading. Please note, I do not curretny have a hard-copy of Lion or Snow Leopard.
I feel Apple has really let its users down by creating all these compatiblity problems. Myself along ith many other Mac users have to spend valuable time and money, which we won't get back just trying tto find solutions to these problems. It really does lower my opinion of Apple.

Use your System Discs you got with your computer and return your system to it's previous state with your last Time Machine Backup. If you were on Snow Leopard and have lost your discs then ring Apple and you can probably get a replacement set for a nominal fee.
    Good Luck

  • Elements 11 - unable to switch editing modes after installing

Hi, I have just installed Photoshop Elements 11 on a Mac OSX 10.6.8 and I am unable to switch editing modes (quick / guided / expert). In fact, none of the buttons on the top bar responds to my clicks. In addition, I am unable to quit the programme, instead, I have to force quit it each time.

Thanks for the replies.  I was able to sort this myself after I watched the the following video on how to reset the Adobe preferences:  http://tv.adobe.com/watch/the-complete-picture-with-julieanne-kost/how-to-reset-photoshop- cs6s-preferences-file/   I did the manual reset where I moved only the preference file to another location e.g. the Desktop.  I restarted my computer.  Closed Bridge CS5 that was running in the background and then clicked on Bridge CS6 and the program opened.  I decided to take a chance to see if this won't fix it and was elated when it worked.  Don't ask my why, but it did the job!

  • Caanot restart apache after installing mod_jk connector

    Hallo,
I have installed the mod_jk connector to use seperate apache and tomcat instances for my web ap. I followed the instructions here: http://www.onjava.com/pub/a/onjava/2002/11/20/tomcat.html?page=2
After making changes to httpd.conf, I am unable to restart apache - the sevent viewer gives the following message:
    "The Apache2 service terminated with service-specific error 1. "
I think it has something to do with the addmodule lines i've added. Here is what I added to httpd.conf:
    AddModule mod_jk.c
    # JkWorkersFile C:/tomcat/Tomcat 5.5/conf/workers.properties
    # JkLogFile C:/tomcat/Tomcat 5.5/logs/mod_jk.log
    # JkLogLevel debug
    # Alias /toolkit C:/tomcat/Tomcat 5.5/webapps/toolkitv3
    # JkMount /toolkit/servlet/* ajp13w
    # JkMount /toolkit/*.jsp ajp13w
    # <location "/toolkit/web-inf/">
    # AllowOverride None
    # deny from all
    # </location
    (all uncommented of course)
I hope someone out there can help me with this.
    Thanks

    I used the mod-jk.dll and loadModule :
    # Load mod_jk module
    # Update this path to match your modules location
    LoadModule jk_module modules/mod_jk.dll
    # Declare the module for <IfModule directive>
    #AddModule mod_jk.c

  • How do run OS X after installing windows

How can I run both windows and os

    Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
Install the Apple Boot Camp software.  Purchase Windows 7 or Windows 8.  Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows.  Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
VM Fusion and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows.  The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris.  It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc.  There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization.  The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. See MacTech.com's Virtualization Benchmarking for comparisons of Boot Camp, Parallels, and VM Fusion. A more recent comparison of Parallels, VM Fusion, and Virtual Box is found at Virtualization Benchmarks- Parallels 10 vs. Fusion 7 vs. VirtualBox. Boot Camp is only available with Leopard and later. Except for Crossover and a couple of similar alternatives like DarWine you must have a valid installer disc for Windows.
You must also have an internal optical drive for installing Windows. Windows cannot be installed from an external optical drive.
If you've already installed Windows and need to return to OS X, but have not installed the Startup Disk preference panel for Windows, then restart the computer. After the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the disk icon of your OS X system, then click on the arrow button below it.

  • How To By-Pass Setup after Install?

Is it possible to by-pass Setup after an Erase and Install and how would I do this?

    You can do this:
    1. First, boot from your Installer DVD, select your language and click on the Continue button, then select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu, select your boot hard drive, go to the First Aid tab, and click the button for Repair Disk. Repeat this until no trouble is found. Then click on the Repair Permissions button. Then quit DU, return to the installer and shutdown the computer for a couple of minutes.
This will assure that the drive is OK and permissions are OK.
    2. Next, boot to single user mode by restarting and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-S keys until a black screen with white type appears.
    3. At the prompt, type the following commands pressing return after each command line:
    /sbin/fsck -yf
    mount -uw /
    rm /private/var/db/.AppleSetupDone
    shutdown -r now
The second-to-last command above will cause OS X to think that the operating system is newly installed, and when you reboot, it will send you to the startup wizard where you can start a new user without reinstalling.

I changed my account back to administrator and retried. Keep getting "must reboot" message . See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update (Software Update not working properly)
Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder:<br />
    C:\Documents and Settings\&lt;user&gt;\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates
    (%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates)
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\updates
Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.<br />
Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

  • MBP retina: can't switch display resolution after installed switchresx

    Hi all,
I installed switchresx 4.3.1 to try native resolution 2880x1800.
After that, I uninstalled switchresx, but now I can't change resolution from displays preferences pane in Lion: it' stuck on "more space", and preference pane says "Looks like 1440 x 900" instead of 1920x1200, as shown in image.
If i try to press other buttons nothing happens.
Is there any file that has been modified or deleted installing switchresx?
Any suggestion how to get it work again?
    Best regards,
    Alessandro

I managed to find the issue:
    the file /System/Library/Displays/Overrides/DisplayVendorID-610/DisplayProductID-a00 was deleted.
Here is a copy of the original one: created it and the problem was fixed.

  • How to fix three monitors after installing latest Mac update?

I installed the latest release, OS X 10.9.3 (13D65), and now my three monitors are all messed up.  I tried going into sytem preferences and looking at the monitor set up there, but nothing helped.
When I move my mouse, I never know where it is going to show up, and it does not move properly from one screen to another.
    Any ideas?

From the Mac discussion forums: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=4930170&#4930170
Try this: download and retrofit (force install) QT 7.1.6 using Pacifist, then run the 10.4.10 Combo Updater for Intel Macs. Make sure it is the "combo" updater. Be sure to restart in safe mode after using Pacifist and then install/re-install the combo update (while in safe mode). For all those "non-techie" people (like myself), please try this if you already haven't and please read the instructions for Pacifist - if you use Pacifist correctly, it will ask you if you want to replace (vs. update) all of the Quicktime components (yes, you want to replace), so you will know that you are accomplishing what you need to. The first fix I tried was just to reinstall the Mac OSX10.4.10 combo update for Intel Macs and this did not work, but when I used Pacifist and then reinstalled the MacOS X combo updater (do not get this confused with the update that is not the "combo" one- (use the links), it worked! I am not a web developer, so did not have to deal with the Java 6 stuff.

  • Unable to Switch to Windows after installing Macfuse and NTFS 3G

I just put those two pieces of software on my Mac and now when I go into start up drives there is only my Mac drive no windows drive. And when I restart and hold option nothing happens. Anyone have any ideas?
By the way if you dont know what those applications are for they allow you to copy files from the Mac to the PC with drag and drop.

I agree with khassani that there should be no disruption of the OPTION key booting nor the use of Startup Disk to switch boot volumes. Something else is at play. OPTION booting is part of the ROM which means it should function even if no OS is installed. If you cannot even get to the boot manager screen, then it indicates a problem with the keyboard. Any chance you switched the keyboard map?
If you check the console log is there any indication there of something awry?
