How to test VOFM routine for output cntrol-issue o/p when certain conds met

Hai,
I have created a vofm routine 903 for the output type 'ZSH1'.This is for sales order output.
The 903 routine changes the sy-subrc value to non zero if certain conditions met.
My doubt is how to test this vofm routine? where can we check the status of the output processed?
This output is to trigger a smartform.
In my case the output smart form got displayed when I click on print preview even if the condtions met (or) dont met.
Is this the correct way of testing?

see the step 1.
Step1: goto->va02->from the menu select 'issue output'->select the codition type in the displayed popup->click OK.
after this where can I check the status of the output issued?
or is the way I described in Step 1 is correct or not ?
other way Step 2:
goto VA02->enter order number->goto overview page->from Extras->output->header->edit
in this page maintain the output type & click Save.
after Save , is this the time to check whether the output issued or not? if yes where to check the status?
or again is this the right way to test the VOFM.

we need to know the last time of some TV program in BEx report, If a TV program last 500 seconds, we need show the key figure like this: 00:08:20, If a TV program last 100000 seconds, we need show the key figure like 27:46:40 (27 hours and 46 minitues and 27 seconds), If we define a key figure as time, BW system will report a error that say it is not acceptable time. If we want to define a integer, but we need display it like hhmmss format. We know we can write conversion routine for char. but I don't how to write conversion routine for key figure. If you want to do in Transformation Layer :
You can use routine ...break up the seconds into minute hour and seconds
you will have to handle few cases in this:
let say your variable lv_seconds holds the number of seconds you want to convert to hour min and seconds
DATA: lv_seconds type i,
           lv_hrs type i,
          lv_sec type i,
          lv_min type i.
lv_hrs = lv_seconds / 3600
if lv_hrs >= 1.
lv_min = (lv_hrs - trunc(lv_hrs))*60
here again handle seconds if min >60.
else.
lv_hrs = '00'.
lv_min = lv_hrs*60
It is just hint ..how you can manipulate the seconds to get it...you will have to think about the complete algorithm

Debugging routine for output type in purchase order

HI all,
I am unable to get breakpoint to stop at a custom requirement routine for a custom output type (ZSND) for purchase order.
I created routine 901 and explicitly add 'break userid' . In ME21N, it stops at the routine. In ME22N, it did not stop at the routine.
I like to it stop during ME22N. I tried adding the custom output in ME22N in Messages details, then save. It still did not stop at the custom routine. Can anyone pls shed lights how i can make it stop ? Or could it be that no output is generated during the ME22N changes, thus it would stop at that routine in ME22N ?

Hello Joyce
The first output ZSND creates the ORDERS IDoc (ME21N). For this output type you obviously have assigned the VOFM condition (somewhere in the NACE transaction).
Changing the purchase order (ME22N) should create a different output type (-> ORDCHG IDoc). The first output ZSND must not be repeated (or it is defined to be set automatically only once).
Thus, there are two explanations for your observation:
(1) The output ZSND is not created a second time using ME22N
(2) The new output (-> ORDCHG) has not been assigned to the VOFM condition 901.
(1) you can test quite easily by adding the ZSND output manually in transaction ME22N.
(2) you need to check the output customizing.

if it is, which part in the SD process will your routine be triggered?
is it in the billing? post goods? transpo? or sales order creation?
anyway,
you can test it IFAND ONLY IF the routine's output type has been properly configured in transaction code: NACE.
now, if the above has been done correctly, run the standard transaction code specified in your requirement.
for example:
if you have created a routine that would be triggered after billing.
the only time i can test it is via transaction code: VF01.

My aim is to make a condition check when i create an inbound delivery ( VL31N) or MIGO ...., as default in the requirement check for output , a message type will be created automatically if the it satisfies the condition in the KOBEV .....KOBEV( each sub routine was defined with a message type ( V6 ) ( if sy-subrc = 0) . And then a printing program will be triggered to print the SAPscripts form in the table "tnapr" but even if i have put sy-subrc in ( KOBEV...KOBEV ) always = 0 the printing was not executed , and in this case i do not understand the reason why , If you please to help me this .

it seems that the requirement you made is not the reason why it's not printed. If you set sy-subrc to 0, this code should have no effect.

ECM Backend-Test Transaction or how to test column FM for MSS

Hi there,
I need some help on testing customer development for the ECM Planning scenario on the Portal (MSS).
I have added a new column with a customer developed Function Module. (Copied from HR_ECM_UI_DISP_NEW_SALARY standard Function Module).
Question: How can I test this Function Module in the backend?
Isn't there a backend transaction that simlulates the frontend? So that I can test and debug the new columns?

I don't think there is a way to test ECM directly in the backend. You will have to use the external breakpoints & initiate the debugger via MSS.

How to change a password for an OpenLDAP user, which fails when using Lion's System Preferences?

The Problem
Users are unable to change their password using System Preferences -> Users & Groups on a Mac that is connected to an LDAP server (specifically, OpenLDAP).
This error appears to be a result of OS X 10.7.4 now sending the username of the user rather than their full DN (e.g. it's sending bobsmith, notuid=bobsmith,ou=Users,dc=companyname,dc=com).
(a bug report for this issue has been filed with Apple and can be seen on OpenRader @http://openradar.appspot.com/11768796)
Steps to Reproduce:
Try to change the password using the System Preferences -> Users & Groups prefpane on Lion. It fails with the following error message:
The password for the account “bobsmith” was not changed. Your system administrator may not allow you to change your password or there was some other problem with your password. Contact your system administrator for help.
Expected Results:
The password should be changed.
Actual Results:
The error appears, and on the LDAP server, an error like the following is logged:

Notes: This was encountered by someone else over at the AFP548.com forums who ended up patching their LDAP server to resolve the issue. This shouldn't require patching LDAP to resolve, however. Lion needs to (at least have an option to) send the full DN of a user requesting to change their password, not the short username:

So, I’ve got this OpenLDAP server with network home directories at home that all of my Mac machines authenticate to. Everybody can bounce around to whatever Mac is available. It works great.
Anyway, with Snow Leopard, I was able to change user passwords via System Preferences. However, that got broken when I upgraded to Lion (amongst other things). Both Snow Leopard and Lion send exop’s to the ldap server, but for whatever reason, the id is screwed up in Lion (or at least, it’s screwed up on the two machines at home I tested this with). Instead of sending the user’s DN, e.g. “uid=user,cn=users,ou=something,dc=somewhere,dc=com”, the ldap server is only sent the uid, e.g. “user”. The ldap server is expecting a DN here, so naturally, it fails with the error “Invalid DN”.
Bummer.
So, to work around that, I had to patch OpenLDAP (version 2.4.26 in this case). Now, when my server can’t resolve the id it’s given during a password change, it will look at the bind DN, and if the id string is contained within the bind DN string, it will just use the bind DN as the entry to change. I figured this would still allow me to manually specify password changes via an admin account while still giving users the ability to change their own passwords without having to point them at a webpage (lame).
I should point out that all my accounts have the uid as part of the DN… I guess if you were doing some kind of crazy SASL mappings, this might not work for you…
Anyway, here’s the patch in case anyone else is interested… If it works for you, great. If not, oh well.

I am pretty clear with what you want.
The output on screen after report execution usually prints some values on screen, which are really CANNOT be captured by GETGUI ,
there are several ways to automate this, in case some changes can be dont to report.
1.Make changes in your report in such way that selction options are replaced by parameters of ecatt (Here you have to pass values from ecatt) and you have to call your code within ABAP ...ENDABAP.
2.Make changes to report so that it returns you the success or failure in form of a status message in the status bar , this can be captured in eCATT within MESSAGE..ENDMESSAGE .By doing this, after each execution of report with different inputs,Status message will tell me the results of execution.
3.In case report is making some database commits then please execute the report and check for database changes after report execution for results to ensure success or failure.

Multiple fax/email contacts for same Vendor - How to set it up for Output

We have two different plant using same vendor A but their contacts are different.
for example. Plant 1000 has the contact as Rep1 with fax 1 and email1
and Plant 2000 has the contact as Rep 2 with fax 2 and email 2
We would like to send the PO output to corresponding contact persons w.r.t.plant.
in our communication block in vendor master we have standard communication type to only one email address.

Hi
In vendor master you need to use either vendor subrange or data retension at plant level. It is available in purchasing data additional view. (Check in top menu).
Then you need to have partner function with different ordering address. Because for every vendor subrange or data retension at plant you can have different purcahsing data and partner function.
Read SAP libraray and test in development cycle, it will help you.

My code to programmatically disable output file names (below) is not working on a Windows 7 64-bit machine using Acrobat Distiller X. It works perfectly on a Windows XP machine with Acrobat Distiller 8.
The latest API Reference I was able to find is dated June 2008. My logic follows this convention.
I have confirmed that the registry key is updated as specified below. I have also confirmed that I am able to write to the directory indicated.
Please provide any suggestions to resolve.

I remember seeing that the problem is thunking. A little more specifically, because it's a 32-bit driver but a 64-bit executable, there's a 32-bit system spooler process which will always show up as the EXE name.

How to include new fields for output conditions

Dear Gurus,
I want to maintain the field "kunag" in output condition table.But it's displaying in allowed filedcatalog but at the time of creating condition table it's not showing there.Please advice me.

How to use Start Routine for this requirement

Hello,
I am having data in 2 ods and should load that data into cube, but there isn't any common object in both the ods's. I need to analyze based on these ods objects. so I thought of pulling some objects into 1ods which are used for analysis and added some objects to ods and cube. Now I have to write a start routine in update rules to fetch the data from the info objects which are present in another ods. Can any one help me in this?

Extract all info from table BKPF
select * into it_bkpf
from bkpf
where gjahr = p_fisyr.
Select record based on internal table it_BKPF
The reason why FOR ALL ENTRIES syntax is used because of its cluster table.
select * into it_bseg
from bseg
for all entries in it_bkpf
where bukrs = it_bkpf-bukrs
and belnr = it_bkpf-belnr.
Delete duplicate record based on Company Code and GL No.
delete adjacent duplicates from it_bseg
comparing bukrs belnr.
