How to train two line texts in NI Vision assistant ?

Hi guys,
I have managed to train single line of text in OCR (NI Assistant)..as attached..however I dont know how to train two (or more) line of texts..for example the car's plate number below:
WDP
3194 - as attached
I want my script.scr file to be abled to read any type of line/string..whether it's single, double, triple etc..
Can anyone show me the way how to do it.

Starting with Vision Development Module 2013, OCR supports multi-line reading. You can create a single region of interest that emcompasses all of the lines that you need to read along with the expected number of lines and it will output the text for the best lines. If you are using an earlier version, you will need to have a separate region of interest for each line of text. If you don't know how many lines you will have, one method is to do an edge detection to determine if text is present.

I have 'Material Detailed Description' field in my ALV report, and it's taken from a multiple line text table. Is there any way so I can get this whole text to fit in a single ALV cell (not in single, but multiple line, as in original text data)?

If you want you can display this long text field in ALV but the allignment of the ALV not looks good. so generally we won't display them in the output,
instead, in the interactive list write the code to call that MM03 transaction, and the user can see that text in the transaction when ever double clicked on that MATERIAL field.

Hi, I need to write a single line text file using oracle forms 10g that's usually quite long 8million+ characters, I looked into utl_file but came accross the single line limit, is there any way to do this either to the client pc or to the server

How to manage two OS Text files in UTL_FILE Package simultaneously?

I am using UTL_FILE Package in order to insert rows into my table from the OS text files.
It inserts the row in one of the column in the table successfully.
But when I change the code in following routine in order to insert two rows from the two OS text files, it fails and no row inserted in any column of the table.
Could someone assist what changes I will do in the following script in order to insert the rows in both the columns of the table from the two different OS Text files simultaneously?
The UTL_FILE_DIR parameter is set to * .
I am using Oracle 8.1.7.

Text detection in vision assistant

hi all...i have labview 11 installed with me along with vision assistant. i found out that using OCR we can train it to read a string. but is it only 1 string for a program? even though i can train the progrm with all 26 letter templates, it recognises on the original string..
please guide me to develop a program in OCR where it can read any string that i show to it...please i need your help. thanks in advance

It could be your pixel format settings. Open Measurement and Automation Explorer and select you camera. Then click the Acquisition Attributes tab at the bottom and change your pixel format. If that does not work here are some good documents on GigE cameras.

How to add two lines in one cell in smartforms

Hi All,
can anyone help me to implement the following format in smartforms?
i have create one line type in table, one of the cell in the line type need to split two small line, the upper line is summary and the lower line still split into three small cell. how can i do?

Hi Wei Fang,
You can try by creating a 2 line template (1 Template, 2 linetype) under a loop note.
So your smartform tree structure will be shown like this:
LOOP
TEMPLATE1.
On the LOOP part, pass the internal table of your data to the working areas.
On the template put all the data of the summary on your first linetype, and put
the detail data on your second linetype.

How to display multi-lines text correctly (view only mode)

I have a description field that includes multi-lines format, where the lines are being separated by
characters: chr(10) and chr(13).
When I’m using messageStyleText (or rawText) – I’m getting all the data in one line.
Can you please recommend of an OAF item that will display the text correctly?
Should I use another character as the line separator?

rawText item supports HTML tags. so you can use br tag.

FEBA - How to post two or more transactions at the same time?

    one of our banks sends the statemets with many lines that belongs to the same transaction. We have to post partially one line, and afterwards the other line. Any of you know how to post two lines at the same time from the bank statement?

I'm sorry for replying so late.
The solution I reached was to change the a few things in the standard.
Now I have a new "context menu item". I select two or more transactions and I right-click the mouse. I select that "context menu item" and the next part of the code adds the total amount of the transactions to look for the correct post for the first transaction. Once posted automatically, the next transaction is posted automatically by the system.
I hope you understand my English. I've problem with technical FI terms.

How to draw horizontal line in smartform after end of the all line items

Hi Friends,
I am working on the smartform. I have created TABLE node in Main window.
i want to draw a horizontal line after end of the main window table node. i mean after printing all the line items of the table, I need to print one horizontal line.
Could you please help me how to resolve this issue.
FYI: I tried with the below two options. But no use.
1. desinged footer area in the table node of the main window.
2. tried with uline and system symbols.
please correct me if i am wrong. please explain in detail how to draw horizontal line after end of the main window table.
this is very urgent.

Thanks for your answer. But I need some more detail about blank line text. i.e thrid point.
Could you please tell me how to insert blank line text.
1 - in your table, create a line type with only one column, with the same width of the table
2 - in table painter, create a line under the line type
3 - insert a blank line text in the footer section with the line type you have created.

Hello,
I am interested in add not only one but over 29 new Pushbuttons on my own pf-status.
That's not a problem because it allows until 35 pushbuttons, but some of them have a descriptive text, and the last ones are not shown inside the screen.
Does anybody know how to create two lines of pushbuttons, or a extended list of pushbuttons, or any other solution ?
