How to transfer parameters between two iViews?

Hi all,
I have two WebDynpro based iViews (StartView and SecondView). when I press the button in the StartView, the EP will navigate to the SecondView. During this process, I want send a parameter value from the StartView to the Second View. In the StartView, I use the follow method to navigator:
WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute(
              "ROLES:portal_content/com.sap.itsamtest/com.sap.secondpage",
                 WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE,
                 (String) null,
                 (String) null,
                 WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_DUPLICATIONS,

In the SecondView, I use the WDWebContextAdapter to get parameter's value.
String Name = WDWebContextAdapter.getWebContextAdapter().getRequestParameter("value");
It works fine. But I found there is a warning message:
The method getRequestParameter(String) from the type IWDWebContextAdapter is deprecated
So is there any other good mechanism to implement the data transfer between two iViews.

I have to transfer one hierarchy from 0GL_ACCOUNT to other infoobject already created.
The hierarchy datasource of 0GL_ACCOUNT is already associated, and the only option I see is to use flat files.
Do you know another way to do this?

If i am not wrong, a new infoobject can be created with 0GL_ACCOUNT as the reference characteristic so that the data in the 0GL_ACCOUNT infoobject will be available for the second infoobject also.

Yes, you pretty much just drag and drop or copy and paste depending on which way you like better. It is pretty much like connecting an external hard drive. Just find the files you want and copy them over to your other computer.
This is one of my favorite features from Macs. It's very simple to do and because it's Firewire even large files transfer over very quickly.

Can you transfer files between two user accounts on the same MacBook Pro?
Specifically, I used the Migration Assistant to move music and photos from my old PC to my new MacBook.
Somehow, I missed the fact that it was creating a new user account when it was doing this. So none of music and photos are in the user account I originally set-up. Instead, all these files are now in a different account.
I'd like to consolidate all my files on the one user account and delete the other one.
Is this possible and, if so, how do I do it?

you can crop files from one account to another using the Public Dropbox which every user account has. Log into the user that has the files you want to move, then drag the folder you want to the new users' dropbox:
I suggest a small scale test on a few files first before moving gigabytes of files.

I want to pass multiple parameters between two report portlets on the same page.
I have been succussful passing a single parameter between two portlets. The
following are the steps :
(1) Created first report based on the query
SELECT htf.anchor('http://192.168.0.84:7778/servlet/page?&_pageid=97&_dad=portal30&_schema=portal30&_mode=3&dept_code='||DEPTNO,DEPTNO) Department, ename FROM EMP;
(2) Created 2nd report
select * from EMP where DEPTNO = :dept_code
(3) Added pl/sql code before display page on the 2nd report

(4) Created a page and added these reports as portlets.

Hi,
Here is how you have to handle transfers between two departments that belong to the same company code. You have 2 scenarios here : a) both the departments belong to the same profit center and ofcourse different cost centers 2) both belong to different profit centers and different cost centers.
1st scenario : Since they both belong to the same profit center, all you have to do is include a new cost center in the new validity period in the asset master data. SAP will automatically post the depreciation in the new cost center w.e.f the new validity period.
2nd scenario : This is a Intra-company transfer ABUMN. You have to create a new asset (assuming you dont have one already created) for the new cost center and transfer from the old to the new. This will post the relevant Profit center entries automatically. Make sure you review the transfer variant which is usually 4.

Just to add what Max has already mentioned. IMPORT TO / EXPORT FROM DATABASE statements can be used to store data in special "cluster" tables (you can't use any DDIC table) e.g., INDX.
@OP: You can opt for Shared Memory(SHM) for this specific requirement as well. In my opinion SHM is a bit tricky to code, but it is easier to monitor. The opposite holds true for "data clusters".
You should remember SHM is app-server specific. So if you've a load balancing scenario, using SHM can cause problems.
