Read the documentation about the DAC ErrorManager.
You can register ErrorHandlers in the ErrorManager.
This allows you to write your own Errorhandling routines, intercept, handle and rollback the error.

i want to get the edit option means i need to delete the request in target r wt ?
and there are two more targets is there below this process .
Advance Thanks.

HI
If you have less number records in this request(which you extracted now), delete that request from all the targets and reload again with option Valid records update, reporting not possible.
this is the option which is recommended.
follow the below 2 docs as well.

Edited by: user4587979 on Sep 27, 2010 3:46 AMYou don't trap NO_DATA_FOUND in a cursor loop, as for others ... you trap and handle the ones you expect.
NO_DATA_FOUND isn't a condition associated with the processing of a cursor loop.
You have other options though, for example ...
declare
l_processed_something boolean default false;
begin
for x in cursor
loop
l_processed_something := true;
<more processing>
end loop;
end;

• How to trap the event before unlock of locked text frames

How to trap the event before the message "You must check out the contents of this frame in order to make changes. Check out now?" for locked text frames?
I have tried installing the service Responder kUserEditTextCmdResponder
The responder event is fired after the unlock of text frame in this case.
I was trying the service kEditCmdPreProcessService, but I could not find the companion interface for this service.
How to find the companion interface?

The answer to why i need the event executed if nothing has changed is that in my application the text ring will hold some predefined settings for some other controls. If the user selects one of the predefined settings from the text ring a bunch of other controls will take predefined values. These values in the other controls can now be altered by the user. If the user now wants to re-apply the same set of pre-defined settings as last time it should be as simple as selecting the pre-defined settings from the text ring. If now the same value is selected from the text ring, no event will be executed.
What you should do instead is change the value of the ring to a "special" value (e.g. using a local variable) whenever one of the other settings change, indicating that the settings have been modified. It seems wrong to show an inconsistent value in the ring, right?
Now, whenever you change it back to one of the default settings, is IS a value changed event and there is no problem. .

• How to get the addition DML Error information when using PL/SQL?

Given the following statements:
drop table bob;
create table bob
col1 number(6,2),
col2 number(6,2) not null
insert into bob(col1, col2) values (123.12, null);
insert into bob(col1, col2) values (123.12, 12345.12);
commit;
I get different behavior from Oracle error messages.
Here is the sample output:
Table dropped.
Table created.
insert into bob(col1, col2) values (123.12, null)
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("BOB"."COL2")
insert into bob(col1, col2) values (123.12, 12345.12)
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allows for this column
Commit complete.
Note that in the first error (1400) the generated error message contains the name of the problematic column ("BOB"."COL2"). Also note that in the regurgitated statement the error pointer (*) is at the far left. In this case, the regurgitated statement is of no use to me because the error message identifies the culprit column.
However, in the second error (1438) the generated error message is very generic and does NOT indicate the problematic column. In addition, in this case the error pointer (*) of the regurgitated statement has moved to point to the troublesome column. In this case, I must use BOTH the error message and the regurgitated statement to completely understand the problem.
This difference in how error messages are constructed causes difficulty within PL/SQL. If PL/SQL happens to generate a 1400 error message, then simply capturing the error message and giving it to the user provides enough information for him/her to solve the problem. However, if a 1438 error is generated then the resulting error message has insufficient information for the user to pursue the problem.
So my question is, within PL/SQL do you know how to get your hands on Oracle's regurgitated statements so that they can be presented to the user to assisted him/her in problem resolution?
Thanks.

I don't think it's that easy. Notice that if you put the insert into an actual pl/sql block, you don't get the correct column pointer anymore.
BEGIN insert into bob(col1, col2) values (123.12, 12345.12); END;
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allows for this column

• How to trigger the exit event of a subform?

hi there,
we added some code to the exit event of a subform to do some validation, but we found out that
if the user save the form after filling it and without clicking somewhere outside the subform,
the exit event will not be trigger, so the code will not check ,then the form got saved with errors.
could you pls tell us how to solve this?

Hi,
Instead of writin code in Subform just write the code in exit of the individual field.

• How to read the DB application error in JSP

We have the PL/SQL triggers that perform validations on the insert and update. If validation fails the RAISE APPLICATION ERROR is used.
On error the errorpage.jsp is called correctly, but my problem is that I can not read the actual error message from database.
All I am getting from exception.getMessage() is the JBO message. The exception.printStackTrace() does not help either. How can I read text of PL/SQL exception message ?
I have tried this test in errorpage:
if( exception instanceof oracle.jbo.JboException ) { ...}
but apparently the exception is not JboException, since test fails.
I read about ApplicationModule.setExceptionHandler() and even build exception handler which does not do anything. I assumed that this would allow all exceptions to be passed to the error page. Nothing like that happens though. I still see only last JBO exception, I can not see the original DB exception.
Thanks in advance,
Michael

Hi ankur,
thanks for the quick reply,
I have got the answer for the first question.
Can u tell me solution for the 2nd question also. how to read the Portal user information in VC. like reading the Portal user information in webdynpro.
In webdynpro we can read any of the portal user properties or information like using the following code.
Itry{
IWDClientUser user = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser();
String fName = user.getFirstName();
String lName = user.getLastName();
}catch(Exception e){
In the same way to read the portal user information in VC. BCz for every portal user we have created one custom properties, we need to read that propety value in my vc application, when the user logged in to portal and accessing integrated VC application.
I have seen one of the thead this is possible from VC7.0 of NW2004s, current my version is also the same.
Portal 7.0
VC 7.0
If u know how to do that, can u let me know.
Regards

• How to solve the ora-12516 error

Hi,
I'm sorry to say that I have a problem which should be solved as quickly as possible. Can you help me ? The problem is as follows:
os:windows 2000
db version:Oracle Database 10g Express Edition』(XE)
After using for a while, the ora-12516 error occurs. However, scores of minutes later, the error can be solved automatically. How to avoid this kind of error ?
Thank you.

Are you connecting and disconnecting many times quickly?
You may be hitting the problem where the listener thinks the database has run out of connections because the database doesn't inform the listener that connections have been closed fast enough.
Try increasing the value of the processes parameter in the database.

• How to implement the exit EXIT_SAPLMCS1_001?

Hi Gurus,
I have already implemented an exit EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001 to extract additional information which was not being extracted by standard extractor. But the problem is that, whenever the fields (which were appended) are being changed in the base table the record is not getting picked up in the LBWQ.
Unless this record gets picked up in the queue, the exit which was developed earlier would not work. I learned very recently that the exit EXIT_SAPLMCS1_001 could be used to push the changes made to the data in the base table to the queue. If so plz let me know how to do that. Plz provide me a sample code for that if possible?
Points will be awarded accordingly.
Regards,
Kiran

Hi,
Some one has already using the same Enahncement and created the projewct nameYCUST thats why you are getting that error .So you can add your own code to the existing project.
Reward if useful.

• The weirdest Oracle error, OCA & ODBC

I am trying to use Oracle Forms 6 to connect to an Access Database and an AS400 system.
Being some what new to Oracle I have no idea how to overcome this problem, when trying to connect to an ODBC data source through SQL *Plus:
ORA-00022: invalid session id; access denied
ORA-00022: invalid session id; access denied
ORA-00022: invalid session id; access denied
Error accessing PRODUCT_USER_PROFILE
Warning: Product user profile information not loaded!
You may need to run PUPBLD.SQL as SYSTEM
Server not available or version too low for this feature
ORA-00022: invalid session id; access denied
Connected to:
Oracle Open Client Adapter for ODBC 6.0.5.29.0
ACCESS 03.50.0000
Although it does connect via SQL *Plus, connecting with Oracle forms is a different matter! Form Builder brings up possibly the most unhelpful error message I have ever seen, it alerts me the following: F!G!G or sometimes simply: !G though sometimes it alerts random 'E's and 8's occasionally. Form builder then crashes and will not allow me to even connect to my Oracle Database. I have done everything by the book (oracle white paper oca_info.pdf) so I have no idea why this problem could be occuring.
Any help you could give me would be gratefully recieved. To be honest it would be a god send, If I dont overcome this problem I will manually have to transfer thousands of records! I have recently recieved advice suggesting that it is a bug in my OCA version, however I would welcome any other suggestions on this subject. Thank you in advance
Kind Regards
Richard Clayton

Run the Oracle installer (in the Oracle for NT start menu option) on the machine and that should pop up a window with the info

• How to find the List of Errors occured while Upgradation

Hi All,
I am working on Upgrade Project from 4.7C to ECC 6.0. I need to find out the list of all errors occured custom objects while doing Upgradation. I heard abt tool Uptimizer but our company is not using that tool, is there any other way to find out the list of errors.
Can anyone please give me some suggestion how to proceed further tht would be great help.

Yathish

Most of the development issues can be identified by SAMT and UCCHECK in the upgrade sandbox. There may be a small percentage of runtime issues not identified but they will be covered during the testing phase.
