How to trigger Alert with Event Linkage?

Hi,
Can any one tell me the process how to trigger alerts with event linkage? I am successul in triggering by calling function module SALRT_CREATE_API.
my scenario is...
when a purchase order is cancelled, i have to trigger an alert to the concerned department head throgh Alert Inbox and external mail also.
Plese guide me..

now i am getting alerts from Event Linkage.

in alert container i take element is BOR Object type BUS2032.
the questions are..
1. Is it correct to defined BOR object here to get data when Sales order has been changed.
2. What are the properties i have to take in Properties tab?
3. How to use alert container parameters in short and long text?
Here my clear intention is when a sales order is changed.. i have to get the data related to that sales order and it has to show in Alert.

I just finished the tutorial, "Triggering ALM Alerts with Event Linkage" step by step. It trigers an alert by business object bus2012. With the setting of event linkage, it works fine to post alert when POs are changed.
However, it generates duplicate workitems at Alert Inbox.
Could you provides any suggestions to solve it out?

Hi,
Are you using a triggering event to start the workflow? Please check the event trace to see if 2 events are bing raised. If so then please check if you or someone else have maintained and entry in SWEC (Change documents) to raise this event also. This may be the reason for 2 events.

I have successfully created XI Alerts using ALRTCATDEF. But, it seems, the email is not coming. Do we have to trigger them also? If yes, please provide some document which specifies how to trigger Alerts.

of course notepad.exe is closed again as soon as the operating system has completed the process of loading its content into memory...
And no "event" is fired when that happens, except maybe internal to the process that loaded the application to indicate that it's been loaded successfully and can now be executed.
But there's no way your Java process is ever going to receive that notification.

How to trigger alerts from UDF for file to file scenario

Hi,
My scenario is something like this.......
I have lookup in which there exists more than one output value corresponding to this one input value.In such cases i need to raise an exception and trigger an alert from UDF so as to inform the functional team.
Now this entire procedure has to be implemeted for file to file scenario.
I am not using any RFC nor do i need a BPM.
Entire scenario should be excuted without BPM and RFC.
Can anyone kindly suggest me as to how to proceed for this so as to trigger alerts
from UDF.

How to trigger the Business Transaction Event "WEIGH" in WM from a user program?
This "WEIGH" Business Transaction Event is supposed to modify the status in "status Management System" of SAP.

Hi Ashutosh, if you are trying to raise a custom event you first must define the event within your business object, using TC SWO1. If you like you can extend an existing business object or create a new one. Once your business object is activated and your event is released you should be able to trigger it with the FM 'SWE_EVENT_CREATE'.
P.S If you are extending an existing business object, for example BUS2105 and your extended name is ZMBUS2105, refer to the original name, i.e. BUS2105 for the objtype field in the call to 'SWE_EVENT_CREATE'.

auctully,I just want to implements between two portlets communicate.
for example:
existing portletA,portletB.
portletA is a list,like:

after I click this buttom,then portletB will be effect,it means they are interact with each other.
does anybody hit this issue before,if you solved pls share me .

Please note that everything below applies to JSR168 portlets ONLY- JSR286 portlets and other portlet types handle events a little differently.
From inside your JSR168 portlet you can send an event during processAction or when receiving another event by using the PortletBackingContext object, such as:

Then, in your receiving portlet the method "processCustomEvent" would receive the event, such as:

The event payload can be any Serializable object you want, but for forward-compatibility with JSR286 it would be ideal if it had a valid JAXB binding.

How to Generate an Object Type Event programmatically in ABAP ??? We know that SAP std. applications do this by default ,for eg: Sales Order creation event generation, similarly , i want to generate an Event ( SAP or a Z object event ) in my Z program ,, How can i do it ??? Do we have any function module for this one ? I can do an BDC CALL TRANSACTION SWUE but i don't want to do that, i want to use some other method other than BDC.

How to trigger alert (SALERT_CREATE) from remote R/3 system? Help!

Hi Experts,
 Here is my business reqmt:
XI reads inventory file and makes a RFC Function module (YREAD_INVDATA) call to R3 system.
In R3 system function module I have written business validation logic.
If any validation fails then I have to trigger alert. The CCMS alert is setup in the XI system. So to trigger alert I am making a RFC call (CALL FUNCTION SALERT_CREATE DESTINATION 'SYXI250'...) to XI.
 In order to make a RFC call can I use TYPE 3 RFC destination?
 Do I need to use TYPE T (TCP/IP) RFC destination?
 If I use TYPE T then I am getting error saying "no sender agreement and no receiver".
 Since I am making a call to function module in XI system and there is no other receiver after that how do I configure a receiver for this?
 Please help me!

At least for what you're trying to do, consider below:

So SALERT_CREATE in the XI system is actually your receiver interface in this scenario.

Yes.

As mentioned above, XI (technically at least) is the receiver and SALERT_CREATE is the receiver interface. The sender would be your R/3 system and the sender interface would be just a stub of SALERT_CREATE. So in R/3 you could create a customer, remote-enabled RFC (Z_SALERT_CREATE) that's just a stub (no implementation of SALERT_CREATE, just parameters) and call this from the R/3 side (e.g. CALL FUNCTION Z_SALERT_CREATE DESTINATION 'SYXI250'...).
Of course, you would need to import the metadata for your custom Z_SALERT_CREATE (and SALERT_CREATE if not already) RFC as an imported object to XI. You'd need a sender agreement for R/3 sender and Z_SALERT_CREATE RFC as well.

How to trigger window minimize event manully

in my program i've two jframes, i want to hide one frame when clicking a button in another frame.
