How to turn off Currency Conversion within the execution of Fox code

Hi All:
We have a number of custom key figures defined in a Planning Layout.
We had wanted to define those fields as type CURR with 4 Decimals, however it appeared that 2 Decimals was the maximum we could specify.  We therefore wound up using Type FLOATING POINT with 16 Decimals.
In some Fox code that calculates these custom key figures we then use a ROUND statement to produce values such as 3.2735000000000000.
When this Fox code executes in debug mode, I see a generated ABAP program running which includes Include programs RUPFGENTOP and RUPFGEN00.   This program executes a Form F_00001, which is essentially the Fox code. Here I can see the ROUND statement producing the desired result.  Right after though a Form TCURX_CONVERSION executes, which often reintroduces all 16 decimals, and I might get values, such as 3.2735000000000001 or 3.2734999999999998.   These small fractions cause other issues later on in the process.
In our case we are not trying to convert an amount from one currency to another, so we don't understand why it even would try to do a currency conversion.
My question:  is there any way to "turn off" this currency conversion routine?
Please advise - any suggestions would be most welcome.
Many thanks in advance,
Robert van der Kam

Hi Robert,
the solution suggested by Anass only works for key figures of type number. For key figures of type amout or quantity it is not allowed to change the number of decimals. Especially for amounts the number on the DB can only be intepreted correctly knowing the currency. Depending on the currency the value 1 on DB may be 100. This is why the FOX does the TCURX_CONVERSION, a better word would be currency shift since currency values have to be scaled depending on the values maintained in table TCURX. Since FOX needs one common number type for calculations the shift is neccessary.
This is the reason why amounts have only 2 decimals on DB, the real number of decimals comes from TCURX; no entry there means 2 decimals, i.e. not scaling is neccessary. This is why changing the number of decimals via domains might corrupt all data.
It seems that you are using release 7.0x, in releases 7.3x internally uses DECFLOAT data type, thus the 'problems' coming from binary arithmetic in ABAP FLOAT will not occur any more.

Gregor

how to turn off programs running in the background in the background on iPad

Most apps do not run in the background on an iPad. Their stae is kept in memory so that when you start the app again it will load quickly at the location you last used it. But you can remove these apps from the Recently Used list. Here's how:
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app.
Some apps do refresh in the background if you have that Setting turned on. You can control apps there individually or turn off Back Ground App Refresh completely in the Settings App.

How to turn off programs running in the background withiOS7?

I would just add that it is not necessary. The programs referred to are only the recently used programs, and are not "running in the background" with the sometimes exception of GPS apps and music apps. They are simply dormant in the memory. The operating system will remove these programs if the space is required.

  • How to turn off/on triggering within same IMAQ session

I put together an image acquisition application with a NI 1427 frame grabber and a Basler Aviator camera. I want to be able to switch between continuous (non-triggered) acquisition and triggered (acquisition is not running during the switch).
I can switch from continuous to triggered without reconfiguring the IMAQ session by using the IMAQ Configure Trigger3 VI. However, to go back to non-triggered mode, I tried calling the Configure Trigger3 VI with "Disabled" as the Action but that gave me a "Requested triggering mode is invalid error". I also tried using "Software Trigger" as the Type and that gave me the same error. Is there no way to turn off triggering without reconfiguring the entire IMAQ session?
    Thank you for any input.

    Hi Kira,
Thank you for the response. I tried what you suggested but received an error stating that this was not a valid attribute. So I looked in MAX and saw that I have 2 Camera attributes (I think based on my icd file) and they are Bit Depth and Triggering. The Triggering attribute does have a "Free Run" value which I tried using with the IMAQ Set Attribute VI (with Camera Attribute = Triggering). I had no error but the frame grabber was also not acquiring images, i.e., the IMAQ session was originally in triggered mode and it seems that it was still waiting for an external trigger.

  • How to turn off measurements when using the line tool

Hello.  I'm sorry to trouble you with this small thing but its driving me nuts.  I'm using a shared computer at a university and we just upgraded to CS6.  When I use the line tool while making a mask a box pops up which measures the line's length and angle.  I want to turn it off, and it blocks being able to see what I am trying to mask.  I've tried looking this up online and in Photoshop help but I just don't know the correct terminolgy, i.e. what to call it, to find out how to turn it off.  Thank you so much so much for any help!
here is a jpg screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/njena5x9ppajzqq/linetool.jpg

That looks like the on-image displays that were added to photoshop cs6
You should be able to turn that off in Photoshop>Preferences>Interface>Show Transformation Values and set Never as the value.

  • How to turn off step 1px at the editing of curves in Photoshop CC?

    Hi!
Recently moved to Photoshop CC and found that when editing curves I can move nodes curve only in increments of 1px for any approximation.
In Photoshop CS5, I could move the nodes with step 1px at 100% scale, and move more accurately at greater approximation.
How could I move nodes curves in Photoshop CC with a small step as before?

In the bottom right corner of the display there are several icons. Select the second icon, "Browser & Metadata Overlays” and select “Switch to Basic View”. You can also fine tune what is displayed there.

  • How to turn OFF Organize by Conversation in all mailboxes at once and set it as default?

The Apple Mail Organize by Conversation is not working properly on Mail 6.5 on Mac with OS X 10.8.4 (Mountain Lion).
How to turn off such Organize by Conversation in all mailboxes of at once and leave it off as default for past and new messages?

It works doing it with one mailbox at a time, selecting it and then deselecting "View - Organize by Conversation". A real pain and clealry impractical when you have thousands of mailboxes...
It does not work at all deselecting even all items in "Mail - Preferences - Viewing - View Conversations". After that, all the imported mailboxes have the Organize Conversation active.
Anyone knows how to overcome this? Thanks.

I could even remap any of the default hotkeys if someone knows how to do that as well, as the defaults are not too useful for me...

I'm using same icloud and same apple ID on two iphones. Now i get calls from same number on both iphones at the same time. How to turn off that?

Apple ID's are not device specific, so when you changed it on the iPad 2 it changed it on the iPhone 4 as well, since it's the same account still. What you need to do is create a second Apple ID (so you'll have two accounts, one for iPhone 4 and a seperate one for iPad 2).
To create a new Apple ID on your iPad 2:
    1) Go into Settings > Store.
    2) If you are already signed in, tap your Apple ID on the screen and you will be given a few options, one of which is to sign out of your account.
    3) After you sign out, now click the "Sign in" button.
    4) Tap "Create New Apple ID" and follow the instructions on-screen.
