How to uninstall Weblogic 10.3.3
Hi,
I am new to weblogic installation.
I have installed Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.3) using the ZIP Distribution given at http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/wls_main.html
I was trying to install SOA 11.1.1.3 but it gave an issue saying that this weblogic version is not 10.3.3 !! While I am unable to understand how this is possible, I have decided to use Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.3) + Coherence - Package Installer. But I have installed Weblogic already and also created a default domain. So I want to know how to uninstall Weblogic and do I need to remove this domain too. If so how to remove it.
Rgds,
Amit
Uninstallation procedure is described in documentation:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13179_01/common/docs103/install/uninstal.html
On my Linux box, using
rm -rf /path/to/bea_homewould be the best way probably. :-)

Two issues now
1) How do I get rid of weblogic from my machine manually so that I can do fresh install of 10.3.5?
2) How do I confirm if it is completely removed because after doing the complete SOA suite installation process, JDeveloper throws me errors that it is not compatible with 10.3.6
Appreciate your help in this regardHi
I am glad your original issue is resolved. For this new SOA installation, you can post a new thread and preferably in SOA Forums and not here in WLS Forums for quicker response: SOA Suite
1. To begin with, looks like you have a 64 bit machine, so I would recommend first to install 64 bit JDK. Then install Weblogic using weblogic generic installer (.jar). This means if you already have WLS installed using .exe, you may have to delete that and start over.
2. Worst case even if you want to continue as it is (32 bit), the location of java is kind of not ok having a space in one of the folder names like "Program Files". And is this java installed by you or did it came with machine and if so. If came with machine it will be older version.
I would recommend, uninstall existing JDK and install fresh latest JDK in a path something like shown below that do not have any spaces:
1. C:\Oracle\Java\jdk1.6.0_24_64Bit = Will have JDK 64 bit
2. C:\Oracle\Middleware116BPM = Will have WLS 10.3.6. Here you install SOA later on
3. C:\Oracle\Middleware\Jdeveloper116 = Will have JDeveloper 11.6 installed here.
Now, coming to your actual installation error, do NOT use this command "setup -jreLoc %JAVA_HOME%". Instead just double click on Setup.exe or open a dos window, navigate to that folder and just type setup.exe. The point is do not give -jreLoc. NOW it will prompt to enter full JDK Path. Here you carefuly type full jdk path something like this "C:\Oracle\Java\jdk1.6.0_24_32Bit" (this is on my side...). It should work now.
Caution. While installing any oracle software do not use folder names with spaces. Like c:\Program Files\ etc. Spaces in folder names may be an issue. So avoid that.
Since you are starting all this fresh, I would recommend doing it in the right and correct way to avoid any future issues. It may take few hours of extra time that is totally worth.

How to uninstall URM component
Hi All,
Please let me know how to uninstall URM from ECM suite.
Thanks,
ManiFirst of all, if you mention "ECM Suite", what version do you mean? (This SKU's name is not used for more than 1 year, so you could be speaking about both 10g and 11g)
Secondly, as for "URM component", do you mean a separate Managed Server (in 11g)/Content Server instance (10g), or do you mean RM components?
RM components are the easiest: you can use Component Manager ( http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e10792/c06_components.htm#CHDHCGFB ) or Component Wizard ( http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e10792/c06_components.htm#i1022078 ) to both disable and uninstall whatever components you want to.
As for 10g, the installation manual http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E10316_01/urm/urm_doc_10/documentation/integrator/install_urm_10en.pdf contains a chapter about uninstalling.
As for 11g, the installation manual also contains a chapter about de-installatiion http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e14495/deinstall.htm#CBHDBHJI , but it does not seem to mention specifically Oracle WebCenter Content: Records, so I'm not sure if it allows to choose to uninstall this application only, or it uninstalls everything. At worst, you should be always able to use Weblogic admin tools to do that. Speak to your Weblogic admin, or follow this tutorial: http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/fmw/wls/10g/r3/appdeploy/deploy/deploy_apps/deploy_apps.htm -

Hi , I am no sure how we can uninstall the weblogic on Unix .. In widows I do see deinstall option , but not in Unix..
Thanks
PriyankaWL_HOME/uninstall
where WL_HOME represents the directory in which you installed WebLogic Server.
2. Enter uninstall.sh at the prompt.
The WebLogic Server Uninstaller Welcome window is displayed.
Note: If your system supports a graphical user interface, the uninstallation program starts in graphical mode. If your system does not support a graphical user interface, the uninstallation program starts in console mode. Refer to the Uninstalling WebLogic Server in Console Mode for instructions.

How to Uninstall Leopard Upgrade and go back to Tiger

First, welcome to the Apple boards.
Backup what you have because it probably contains things from the original update you want to keep - network settings, passwords, etc. A bootable clone is your best bet - and test it out.
Then you need to format your HD (full, not quick) with the Leopard DVD and then reboot with the Tiger CD and install it. I am not sure how much you can migrate "downwards" from the Leopard backup, but some things will probably come along OK. Not sure about mail since it was converted by Leopard - will it unconvert? Don't know.
I have read of some who tried to simply install Tiger over Leopard but the results were less than great. You can try it once you have that clone backup, because you won't be losing anything.
I would suggest unplugging the clone during the erase and install process until you get to the migration point.

I have a brand new Leopard based MacBook Pro that I need to revert to its previous cat form of Tiger. Would you mind walking me through it? I have Tiger disks that came with another MacBook Pro so those should have all of the machine specific items I will need. As I understand this, I start the computer from the included Leopard disk and do a full format. (I noticed that there is a new partition style named GUID Partition, is this Leopard only?) Next, I load in my Tiger disks and install from those? I do not need to do any system backups as I have no information on this computer as of yet. Any help would be appreciated.

How to update weblogic.properties in order to support English & Chinese
<URGENT PROBLEM>
hi,
how to update weblogic.properties in order to support English & Chinese
version in a sing weblogic server?
Thanks in advance
<URGENT PROBLEM>If you are using JSP as your mechanism for content display, you should use
the contentType parameter to specify the character and coding of the JSP
page any character encoding of the resulting stream. So far, we have not
done a good job of documenting how to produce localized content in JSP. I
have filed an issue for the documentation folks to work on it. For now,
take a look at section 2.7.4 of the JSP specification version 1.1.

Hello,
I have installed mountain lion on my macbook pro ,but it made my mac very slow. Would someone please tell me how to uninstall this one and reinstall snow leopard? I tried to do it by my original CDs but macbook pro didn't let me to do it.
ThanksIt would be easier to just fix whatever is making your machine slow.
I wrote a little diagnostic program to help show what might be causing these problems. Download EtreCheck from http://www.etresoft.com/download/EtreCheck.zip, run it, and paste the results here.
Disclaimer: Although EtreCheck is free, there are other links on my site that could give me some form of compensation, financial or otherwise. -
I am fairly new to using Mac computers, I would like to know how to uninstall drivers, software and anything else I may install on my computer. With PC it's very easy, you go the control panel, locate what you want to uninstall and with a few clicks it's done. Can someone please help me? Thank you.

How to uninstall pages 5 on iPad 2?
I still use pages 4 on my Mac, and have updated my iPad2 to iOS7 and spontenuously to pages 5 as well. Then, I can't read on my Mac a document in iCloud that was altered on my iPad with pages 5. Of course, to update my Mac to pages 5 would solve this, but I'd still like to use the features on pages4. Does anybody know how to uninstall pages 5 on iPad and revert back to pages4?
Hi there,
is your app stuck in "loading status"? Or are you trying to cancel an ongoing loading process?
if stuck:
Perform a reset of your ipad.
Hold down home-button and on/off-button together for about 10 seconds (Ipad will first show you it´s shut-off-screen, then will turn, then will show apple logo again <- that´s where you release).
After doing so my "faulty" app restored properly, I hav no more issues.
If in loading stage and you would like to cancel:
You will need to wait for loading and installation to complete.
Then press and hold down finger on any app. Apps start shaking and (if not proper to ipads iOS) will show a small circled "x" above left, press that "x", you will be asked if you really wish to delete, press ok. Done.
Hope it helps.
