How to update base java and use same jbuilder

hi,
I use jdk 3.500.24.00 foundation and the default java version that comes along with jbuilder which is 1.2.2. However, i need to use the features of jdk.1.4 and so i need to update the base java version ie jbuilder 3.5 should be able to use 1.4 rather than 1.2. I will keep 1.2 during the transition from 1.2 to 1.4.

I did that allready the problem is it gives vm error cound not start vm. I even tried fiddling with bin/jdk.config, If i give the path for jdk1.4 it give vm error. however if i use the orginal setting which pin points to jdk1.2.2 it works.
Now even though i have modified the path in default project setting in jbuilder i get the error if i change the setting in jdk.config to pin point to new path that would be jdk1.4. Any Idea why or how this can be solved?

I tried changing the [prooject default properties such that the path pin[points to jdk1.4 it recognized this move and it automatically changed all the references upon specifying the home directory of jdk1.4. However, when i rename the jdk1.2.2 folder and then try to reload jbuilder it say vm error could not start vm.
I need to remove 1.2.2 from my system and i want jbuilder to use 1.4 any ideas how this can be done.

I remember JBuilder 3.x had quite a few little bugs and memory leaks. But I do know it does let you change the jdk, unlike the later versions (which force you to pay for the non-'personal' versions to get this and many other features)
Toi be honest, if it's giving you grief, I swop to eclipse, which doesn't even come with a java environment, so it's completely separate. And a far nicer tool as well. And it's free, open source, blah blah <more buzz-words go here>.

In Snow Leopard you update Java from Software Update (in the Apple menu). You can check your version by opening Terminal and typing
java -version
(don't get creative and type anything else)
The latest version is 1.6.0_65.

If you have any apps that were acquired with the old ID they will always be tied to that ID. Delete them and reacquire them with the new ID that you have in Settings > iTunes and App Store

I just ran a software update for Java and MacBook Pro SMC, now my Mini Display Port to HDMI TV is not working. The TV is flickering. The Mac Display is fine.

I was just watching / streaming TV off Safari on my actual TV.
I'm using a Mini-Display Port to HDMI cable for the connection to the external display.
Software update popped-up and said there was an update for Java and for SMC.
I ran the update and upon the computer restarting, my external display (my TV) is no longer working. It is now flickering.
It won't work in Mirroring or set up as an extended display.
I've reset SMC / PRAM / Safe Mode / Even restored from a Time Machine backup (From before the updates were done).
What could it be?!

I keep saying this over and over, in the hope that people who do a search will find it. Apple cannot possibly test for or be reponsible for the bazillion combinations of adapter, cables, and TV's out there. The only monitors that are 100% guaranteed to work with the MacBook Pro are the Cinema Displays and Thunderbolt Displays, because, they're made by Apple. They're expensive, but they work perfectly.
My guess is that you bought a cheap MDP to HDMI cable, or have a defective one. From my reading of these boards over the past few months, cheap cables have a high failure rate. And the regular priced ones have only a slightly less of one. Try a new one. Make sure you do not damage the Thunderbolt port.

In the planning book-dataview, you will assign the time bucket profile, and will be on rollling basis. if you want the forecast profile on rolling basis, maintain the forecast and history horizon as periods then that will also be on rolling basis.

Adobe PDF printer gets installed when you install Acrobat 10 Pro.
To use this printer you need to purchase Acrobat. Once the trial period is over you cannot use the printer to create pdf files.
An alternative way for you is to utilize Microsoft's own inbuilt pdf engine.
You can simply open the file and select 'Save as' and in the type list select 'pdf'

Experiment. No harm in trying.
If you are just starting to use Pages you need to make your own assessment given current events whether committing your work to a format and software given this support is a wise move.
You also need to look at what will produce workable results. Particularly if your large posters are to be commercially printed and contain large bitmap (photographic) images.
Always work backwards from your output. Ask your printer what they require to do their job.
