How to update library when creating book?

G'day,
We have started to create a 40-page book. We have imported new pictures into the library since starting to create the book. However, the library at the top of the screen (where we have been dragging pictures) is not updated with the newly-imported pictures.
If we try to create a new book, all the pictures appear in the library of the new book. Is there a way to force the library of the partially-completed book to be updated?

What you need to do is locate the photos in the main library and drag them to the Book icon in the Source pane. They will then show up in the image bin at the top of the book mode window.

Aperture 3.3.1 frequently "Updating Library" when I quit Aperture

Since I've upgraded to Aperture 3.3 (now 3.3.1), Aperture frequently (almost 100%) spends time "Updating Library" when I quit Aperture. This takes like 40 mins to do. I've fixed permissions and repaired the library but no difference.
Does anyone else have this problem? I was hoping 3.3.1 would fix this problem but it doesn't. Next plan would be to rebuild the library but that will take a long time!

Sadly, you are on the cutting edge of the deployment of Aperture 3.3.x (along with many other posters here). The answer to your unasked questions -- "What is going on, and how can I fix it?" -- is "We don't know yet". Since you have upgraded to 3.3.1, and have let Aperture more than once run through whatever it is doing when it says "Updating Library" and it continues to update the Library for 40 minutes every time you close the Library, I advise you to go ahead with rebuilding the database. IME, this rarely takes longer than 10 hours, and can be run overnight.
I have rebuilt Libraries many times and have never seen a Library damaged by the rebuild. Nevertheless, you should have a complete and verified back-up before doing any maintenance on any Library.

How to Update ECC when there is error in Receiver channel

Hello Experts,
I have a query like how to inform ECC when there is a error in Receiver channe.My interface is ABAP PROXY to JDBC in ECC moni message is through in PI moni also message is through but in Receiver JDBC Channel is in error saying for a particular column the data is not valid.
In this case directly PI should send the error in channel to ECC that payload has invalid data for this field will it be possible?
Please give your valuable suggestions.

implement logic in ABAP proxy to push data when validation check is correct, this is right approach to perform validation.
Even we can achieve this in PI Mapping.
Create ALERT rule for this interface and forward CC errors to ECC Team.

When creating requisition in PO module, you can choose 'Source' to be either 'Inventory' or 'Supplier'.
But in iProcurement, how can I choose 'Source'?

In the item master form Plz check purchased and purchasable check box in purchasing tab and internal ordered and internal orders enabled in order management tab. make sure the item is assigned to particular (requesting) organization for which shipment is delivering to.
once you select the item and click to select source, you can select the source both internal or external in the next step as following......

Update termination when creating delivery in ECC 6.0 system

Issue: Update termination occured when creating a delivery with Order rederence from VL01N in ECC 6.0.
Created a delivery from VL01N and press 'pack' button and saved. I received a message 'Delivery XXXXXXXX is created' and then when i ran VL03N it gave a update termination. Log says 'RV_MESSAGE_UPDATE' MC 601: Object requested is currently locked by user AYEDLAPALLI
I went to where used list for this function module and tried to activate the program 'LOIRI_REPORTINGF01' and it gave an error message "Data object 'PT_VBRK' has no component 'OIRIPBLNR' in prog 'LOIRI_REPORTINGF01' .
Could you please let me solution if anyone come across this issue?

Before approaching the basis team, pls. check whether are there any outputs are triggering in Delivery. In my previous experience due to output related problem this kind of error we faced.

XML-Publisher can be called using an URL. This is described in the userguide.
What you could to is to create a db trigger on your table which will make a url call like you would do calling the Oracle reports server from the database using the event driven API.
Note that in order to have this work you will need to place the report you want to run in the guests folder of XML-Publisher

yes this is possible.
you will have to pass this parameters under function module called READ_TEXT for desired output.
NAME = MVKE-MATNR & MVKE-VKORG & MVKE-VTWEG - to read for which sales orgn/distribution channel/division you have to pass the value.
LANGUAGE = 'EN' - in which language you have to pass the same.
ID = 0001
OBJECT = MVKE - table
if both are there
material description and material sales text then
you have to write a condition there.

I want to be able to choose my photos from Library or albums while craeting a book in iPhoto 06, please tell me how I can see me photos while creating a book.

The easiest way to create a book is to make an album containing all the images you think you might want to include in the book. Then select the album to create the book from. If you decide you want more photos from your library, select them in the library and drag them to the book icon in the source column. The new images will appear in the strip at the top of your book viewing window.

HT5071 How does Apple decide when a book - created in iBooks Author - is free versus when it is paid?

I am considering creating a book made with iBooks Author but have a couple of unanswered questions. What determines how Apple chooses whether my book can make it into the ranks of being a paid book? In other words, I don't want to put a whole bunch of time and effort into creating a book that I want to sell, only to have Apple decide that the book can only be downloaded for free. Is there a way to guarantee that my book will be eligible to sell (as opposed to giving it away for free)? What are the requirements for creating a paid book in iBooks Author?

There are no guarantees.
I'm not sure, however, that if Apple decided it wasn't fit for publishing under a paid contract that they would then turn around and accept it as free, sorry. There are too many details involved and I'd think if you want it in the store you'd work to make it acceptable all around.

How does iPhoto sort when creating a photo book

My problem. When I create a photo book in iPhoto, it sorts in random. I have by date selected, and I need the pictures to flow based on the date.
Where am I missing it?

You can not - they are soreted by date
-- the only solution I have seen is to put them in an album sorted the way you and and then use the batch cnage command to redate them with a small invrement between so a data sort matches your desired sort -- I personally do not want to redate a bunch of my photos nor do i want to have to go through and un-re- date a bunch

IPhoto crashing when creating books

HI,
I am creating a book to export in iDVD for a slide show. I have used the "autofilling" feature to push my photos automatically in book's pages.
The problem I have is that some pages have a yellow triangle describing an error, but when I click on the page to see the error and possibly correcting them, iPhoto crashes and do it over an over.
Any idea what's wrong?
I have updated iPhoto (and all other iApps to the latest version that were make available this week.

That error triangle indicates that iPhoto thinks the image in that frame is too small to give adequate print resolution. Check the pixel dimensions of those photos and see what they are. Often iPhoto will tag the photos in error.
Try editing each of those photos, not in the book, but in the main library, just enough to cause iPhoto to create a new modified version. See if that will help. You can also delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder. If often causes some strange errors. It will be recreated when you next launch iPhoto.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

IPhoto Freezing but ONLY when creating Books, Calendars or Cards. Anyone know Why?

When I try to create a Book, Card or Calendar using iPhoto (version 9.1.5), the comp says "Loading" and my pointer keeps moving but it never comes up. I haven't used this since last year and have no idea why it will not work now.

You can update from iPhoto 9.1.5 to 9.2.1 for no cost.
How old is your Mac? If it's very recent you need to update via the App Store
If you purchased at the App Store you need to update via the App Store
Otherwise you update via Softare Update
If you have moved iPhoto from the default location (i.e. into a Folder) then the updater won't find it. Move it back.
If you have renamed iPhoto, the updater won't find it. Change it back.

How to update bookmarks when merging two PDF files?

We have a company catalog that gets generated once a night. It's three step process:
     Step 1) A raw XML file gets generated from our main ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics).
     Step 2) Then that raw XML file is ran against a stylesheet with XEP to produce a nice professional looking catalog.
     Step 3) And the third step is a script that merges the front and back covers with the main catalog produced in step 2. Each cover is two pages (front and back).
My problem is when step 3 runs it produces a final catalog but all the bookmarks are off by 2 pages because the front cover adds two pages in the very beginning. This post may be premature because up until now I've been merging the PDF pages with a program called "GhostScript" and it allows me to merge them via line command. I'm just now trying out AcroExch.App COM Object for VBScript so I'll see if it works but wanted to fire this out for help to see if anyone has encountered this or can confirm if Adobe automatically updates them for you? When I "Merge" the PDF files through Acrobat Pro they get updated automatically, so hopefully it will work the same way with AcroExch.App Object.   Thanks guy!

I think you might be misunderstanding what I'm saying... we are not performing tasks for non-licensed individuals. We purchased a copy of Adobe Acrobat Standard so we could create a PDF of our catalog. That catalog we then put on our website and let people download it. Since our products change all the time, we generate a new catalog every night. The term "server" is just a place where a script runs, I could have it run on my desktop computer if that's really an issue but I think we're talking semantics. Acrobat is not what produces the main catalog PDF, that is done through XEP when it runs through the raw XML produced by our ERP software every night. The only thing we want Acrobat to do is an automated process to merge 3 PDF files together: Front Cover, Main Catalog and Back Cover. That's it.   Are you saying that is against the EULA of Adobe for us to do that?
Now for the bookmark problem, what do you recommend I do then? When I merge all three of those PDF files in Acrobat Standard manually it works perfect. All I'm trying to do is automate that process once every night. I know how to automate with Acrobat, I just can't figure out how to fix the bookmark problem?

How to update JTable when clicking outside the table?

(Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't seem to see exactly how to do this from previous posts.)
I have a JTable which sits on a jPanel which itself is part of a frame.
When I click anywhere outside the table when I'm editing a cell in the table, how do I end the edit mode of the table (so that the cell is updated with the new contents).Currently I can only update a cell's contents during edit when hitting 'enter' or by clicking on another cell within the table.
It seems that the following code is used in the process but I'm sure that I'm still missing something:
if(table1.getCellEditor()!=null)
table1.getCellEditor().stopCellEditing();
If anyone out there knows how to do this,I'd really appreciate hearing how.

When I add the following code:

and then try to edit my table,as soon as I double click on any cell in the table,my setValueAt method in my Table Model is being called before I even edit the cells contents. The above code is in the same method in which I actaully create table1 i.e.createTable().
Can anyone help?

how would I let all my web pages be affected and follow and
use the updated the template instead of the old one? hope you can

When you save the changed template, all changes to
NON-editable regions are
automatically propagated to all local child pages of that
template. Is that
not happening for you?
