Is That Possible?

It is certainly possible.
Learn SQL. There is a nice SQL tutorial at w3schools.com. Google can find it either.
At least this has nothing to do with JDBC.

SOP: How to update ratio values

Hi everyone,
I have defined an Information Structure with some characteristics and ratios, all of them associated to some ZTable fields.
Well, I would be very grateful whether someone could tell how to update ratio values in my Information Structure. I mean I would like to know which are the steps I have to follow in order to update tha value of my ratios everytime its associated ZField changes its value.
I have the idea of using this Information Structure in a "Level-by-Level" planning type using Product Groups.

Actually I have already created my planning type with some macro instructions and I have checked that they work properly in MC94. I have also created a planning hierarchy as you requested.
But my problem doesn't deal with this. The key figures that I have included in my structure represent values in SAP (i.e. Sold units, Security stocks...).
What I need to do is update the value of that key figures in my structure for all the combinations of my characteristics.
I hope my explanation is quite better this time.

How to handle multi valued attributes

Hi All,
I am supposed to populate multivalued attributes for a field in oim resource profile. Lets assume the field is mailbox. The issue is that I am supposed to reconcile this field from the directory server during initial load. The mailboxes are fetched from the DS based on organization. For provisioning I have to get the mailboxes from the database and these mailboxes are based on the role a user has. At the time of provisioing, I am supposed to populate the mailbox field with values the user already has been provisioned with and also display the mailboxes that he can get access to. I have created the mailbox as a resource with id and name as two of its fields. Could someone please tell me how do I handle this?

I am not sure if I could follow the same thing as mentioned in the link above. Here is my case, Role is a multi valued attribute which i need to handle in oim and is very different from the usual roles. For this purpose, I have created roles as a resource object with role_id as field in its process form.When an admin logs in to assign a new role_id, he should be able to see only those roles for assignment that the admin's org has. I have these org and role mappings in a custom table that I have created in the oim schema. How will I able to display only these available role_ids so that the admin can choose them and assign for the role resource.
Could you please let me know how do I do the config in oim?

We are creating sales order using the BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 FM but we also want to update variant configuration values in those sales orders. I'm passing these tables (ORDER_CFGS_REF, ORDER_CFGS_INST, ORDER_CFGS_VALUE) to the FM.'
The sales order is been created but the VC characteristics are not getting updated.
After the FM I am calling the commit also..
Am I missing anything..Please guide me how to update the VC values..

The value of an element is stored in a child node of that element. For example, let's say that "e" references the node <Description> then:

I have @strjournal as multi value parameter. Allow blank is checked. Parameter values r assigned through query.

my main query i am giving,

If i select 'NULL' its giving me correct result (returning all records as condition is like '%')
if i select only 1 journalno (not 'NULL') also giving me correct result (i.e. only 1 record for which jornalno is selected)
if i select more than 1 jornalnos then its giving me error "an expression of non boolean type specified in a context where condition is expected , near ',' "

How to pass multi-value input parameter to SQL command

I'm having trouble following the threads related to passing multi-value parameters to a SQL command.
I need more details on the work-around that exists for using a dummy main report to GET the input parameters and pass them to a subreport parameter that uses the input parameters in its sql command WHERE clause.
So far the main report prompts user to enter badge numbers into a multi-value string type parameter field called badgeNumber.
The main report getRequesters command executes the following SQL:
SELECT requester FROM lawprod.requester WHERE lawprod.requester.requester IN '{?badgeNumber}'
order by requester
The main report also contains a formula called requesterList that concatenates the input parameters and separates the values with commas: (Join ({?badgeNumber}, ", ")
So if user enters badge numbers 1 and 2 and 3 the value of requesterList is 1, 2, 3
From the main report I've used the Insert Subreport command to choose an existing report, and used the link tab to link @requesterList to ?requester; where ?requester is a multi-value parameter that is used in the subreport's SQL query as shown below:

Following execution of the main report, Crystal appears to prompt for three values as expected: badge numbers for the main report, and start and end dates needed by the subreport.   I can't figure out why Crystal XI returns no data. Can anyone explain what I'm missing?

The reason no data is returned is that the multiple values are not (properly?) passed to the main report's SQL. The main report's SQL should be (MS SQL):
select 1 as dummy
This causes exactly one record to be returned, which will basically be ignored (except the fact that it will drive the subreport; any query that returns only 1 record will suffice...).
Change the concatenation of the selected values to be (basic syntax):
formula = "|" + join({?badgeNumber}, "|") + "|"
The leading and trailing vertical bars are important (otherwise a database value of 1 might match a selection of 123).
Pass the concatenated string as the parameter value to the subreport. In your subreport, select records on (basic syntax):
formula = (instr({?sr-badgeParam}, "|"+cstr({requester},"0") + "|") > 0)
(assumes is numeric in the database, and is integer; modify or eliminate cstr() if otherwise...)
Put your subreport on the detail format of the main report, and you're all set...

If I change the script to return only first member:
$Obj.Add("member", $members[0])
import is successfull and I can see referenced member in Group.
I have also tried to specify DN for both users and roles with the same outcome.
$Obj.Add("[DN]", "Role_"+$Object.$("axs_profid"))

I managed to solve this issue.
The problem was in string array (I always appended "," at the end of each value). MA then expected another value after the last comma.
The wrong approach:
[string[]]$members = $Object.$("member").ToString().Split(',')
The right approach:
[string[]]$members = $Object.$("member").ToString().TrimEnd(',').Split(',')

How to update the value of setter and getter..!!

Hii all i am developing an portal application in which i display the metadata information related to a document(Stored in UCM) in a popup in my application...
The user can also update the information through the application.
in my popup i have a trh : table layout in which i have a Select Onechoice field as

The MetaDataFields.DSecurityGroup show the current security group on document
and
ContentDataBean.TSecurityGrpList provide the user with the list of security group to update.
The current security group i am getting through a map which consist of metadata information for a document :-

The problem is that whenever i am updating the value for the security group, i am getting the old value, the problem is that i have to every time get value from the map only as it consist metadata information for the current selected document..
Is there is any way through which i can update the value for this field..??

For a structured data object s, you can use the statement
ASSIGN COMPONENT comp OF STRUCTURE s TO FS.
Here the comp is the component name or its index number in the structure.
Find the following sample code -
DATA: BEGIN OF LINE,
COL1 TYPE I VALUE '11',
COL2 TYPE I VALUE '22',
COL3 TYPE I VALUE '33',
END OF LINE.
DATA COMP(5) VALUE 'COL3'.
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <F1>, <F2>, <F3>.
ASSIGN LINE TO <F1>.
ASSIGN COMP TO <F2>.
DO 3 TIMES.
ASSIGN COMPONENT SY-INDEX OF STRUCTURE <F1> TO <F3>.
WRITE <F3>.
ENDDO.
ASSIGN COMPONENT <F2> OF STRUCTURE <F1> TO <F3>.

How to update column value dynamically

Hi All,
I have created a simple mapping and selected insert/update on target table. In target table there is one column record_type which will hold either 'NEW' (if new record is inserting) or 'UPDATED'(if existing record is updating) value. Please let me know how can I do this using OWB PL/SQL map?

I like your approch but i think there is need to pass 'UPDATED' when intersect is being used and 'NEW' when minus is being used.
I have developed an OWB map as mentioned in below steps.
1. Chose source (TableA) and target (TableB) as source using table operator.
2. Joined TableA to TableB on col1 using left outer join using joined operator.
3. In expression operator I have calculated value for TableB.col3 using below logic.
CASE WHEN TableB.col1 IS NULL THEN 'NEW' ELSE 'UPDATED' END
4. Mapped columns from expression operator to target table.
I would like to know you comments on above approch. My OWB map has generated below merge statement.
MERGE INTO TableB
USING(SELECT MERGESQL.col1,MERGESQL.col2, CASE WHEN MERGESQL.col3 is null then 'NEW' else 'UPDATED' END col3
