How to update the default date format in OBIEE 11G.

How to change the default date format in OBIEE 11g from the MM/DD to DD/MM. Could anyone please help me out ASAP?

OBIEE 11g is having " localedefinitions.xml " file at this Location C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\web\display
in my case i installed at C:\Oracle\MIddleware.
so
1- Stop BI Server from EM
2- Navigate to this Location C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\web\display. in your case oracle home will be different
3- take a backup of this file localedefinitions.xml "
4- modify it and save
5- bring BI Server up.

Hi, I'm working with JDBC to retrieve some data from an Informix Database, I'm also using Flash Remoting as my User Interface.
The thing is, when I'm trying to display the recordset, the Date Format looks like this: "Fri Jan 29 18:00:00 GMT-0600 1999" so Flash cannot translate this format.
This is my Java code:

Hello Gurus,
Any idea on how to change the default date format of OID?
The default date format of OID is something like "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss .0-0700" I want to change it to "yyyymmddhhmmss.0-0800".
Is there any system property to do the same.
I have provisioned users from OIM to OID.
Any ideas/clues/hints on this.

Goto SPRO->Project system->Dates->Scheduling->Specify Parameters for Network Scheduling, Here you can control the workforce planning dates.

Date Format in Zreport similar to the default date format set using su01.

Dear All,
            I have a requirement as to change the date format in Zreport as the one which is set in default date format for the user in Su01 tcode.
Ex.. If the user has set the default date format in SU01 as ' YYYY-MM-DD' , in report also, date should appear as '2009-12-24'.
Is there any code or Function Module to change the date format in report as in the default Date format?

Consider the java.util.Date.toString() method. There is no way to change the behaviour of that unless you want to derive a class from Date.
At least not in 1.3.0 it isn't. The java.util.Date class uses a private data member called simpleFormatter which it hard codes to
formatter = new SimpleDateFormat("EEE MMM dd HH:mm:ss zzz yyyy", Locale.US)
If however the time was formatted using the defaults from java.text.DateFormat then you could set the TimeZone. However, that doesn't impact formatting, it merely changes the offset (and daylight savings.)
You could set the Locale in java.util.Locale. That looks like a real possibility. But the documentation doesn't really provide anything that suggests how you provide your own and impact the time stuff. For example, Date which uses static finals for the time stuff - which suggests Locale can't impact it. And of course changing the Locale would impact your entire application, so you would have to make sure all threads were blocked while it was changed.

When and how to update the "saved data" in report ?

The BO version is "BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0"
The case is that, some reports are uploaded withe saved data. while viewing the reports, the reports return the old data.
How to view the update data while click the "View" in CMC/InfoView ?
I have tried to schedule it , then can see the update data in "View the latest instance".
Is there any approach to refresh/update the saved data in the report ?

How to get the system date format string?

Hello, everybody!
I want to create a MaskFormatter with a mask for dates. So, I could suply as the constructor parameter: "##/##/####'. However, what if the year comes first in the current system date format settings, or the month is in the second place or in the first?... So, I can't just suppose that the current locale format for dates is like the one above. So, my question is: is there a way to get the SYSTEM DATE FORMAT STRING in Java? Searching in google I saw that this was already asked in this forum:

but there was no effective answer. Does someone already know how to get this?

How to customize the cell date format

Trying out the trial version of Numbers....
I would like to customize the cell date format. The inspector gives you several choices for date formats but I would like something different and wish to customize my own - just like in Excel.
I don't see a way to do this. Are we limited to only those date formats provided by Numbers?
Is there some other way to do this?

I found a way to do this, but not in Numbers. Note that it is probably not for those who are squeamish about editing configuration files, and could probably break something if done incorrectly:
1. Right click on the Numbers application icon and choose "Show Package Contents".
2. Type "date" into the spotlight window and click on the DateTimeFormats folder or drill down to Contents/Frameworks/SFUtility.framework/Versions/A/Resources/DateTimeFormats.
3. Right click on en_US.plist or your language's plist file and click Duplicate to make a backup. (Just rename the backup if you damage something).
4. Open en_US.plist or your language's plist file with a property list editor. I use Property List Editor from the Apple Developer Tools, but I think Pref Setter is also easy to use.
5. Open AcceptedDateFormats and check if your desired format is there. If not, add a string key with the desired format.
6. Open DisplayedDateFormats and add a string key in the format you want it displayed.
7. Save the plist file.
8. Restart Numbers.
9. Your desired date format should appear in the list of formatting choices.
If you're opening up plist files and editing them, I'm hoping the date format conventions are familiar. If not, cross reference them to the list of already coded date formats in the date format inspector to get the hang of it.

Default Date Format in ADF 11g RC

Dear All,
I am searching for a possibility to set a default date format pattern ("yyyy-MMM-dd") in an ADF 11g RC application.
I know that I can set this format in every entity/view object's attributes. But I am looking for a central way.
I already tried to override the javax.faces.convert.DateTimeConverter and configured it in the faces-config.xml.
But without success.
Any ideas?

How to get the default date as current date in input filed in VC

In my VC application i have two date fields. we are allowing the end user to select the From Data and Todate though Data pickers, But the client asking to make the today's date as default date in Todate field , rather picking up from the data picker,
Unless the user wants change the todate from the current date. It should display today's date as default date.
can any body tell me how to do it.

By refering the following link, i have implemented Export To Excell functionality in VC.

How system updating the delivery dates in sale order schedule line

Hello
i created a sales order with 2 line items. For the first line item the confirmed delivery date in the schedule line is 06.02.2012 and for the second line item the confirmed delivery date in the schedule line is 14.02.2012 . Both the line items are third party items and the PR created against the line items in the sales order .
We created the PO with reference to the PR of the SO and we find there are different delivery dates coming in the PO document for the 2 line items . For the first line item the delivery date is coming as 14.11.2011 and for the second line item in the PO , the delivery date coming as 11.11.2011 . Firstly we are not understanding from where the delivery dates are picking in the PO.
Secondly , once we saved the Purchase order and once we come back to the sales order , the schedule line dates are getting changed automatically in the sales order . For the first line item in the sales order the delivery date is changing to 22.11.2011 and for the second line item in the sales order the delivery date is changing to 22.11.2011.
Now my question , is from where the delivery dates are updating in the Purchase order and once we save the purchase order how the delivery dates in the schedule line are getting changed .

For third party processing, the delivery dates are updated in the purchase order based on the settings in the field Planned delivery time in the MRP2 view of the material master(defined in purchase info record in t.code ME11/ME12) and purchasing processing time defined in t.code OMEW. This means, since the date of PO created, it will take the days mentioned in the planned delivery time field and purchasing processing times to determine the delivery date, which will be copied into the sales order as delivery date. In your case, the purchase order delivery date is not copied into the sales order, hence you may need to check OSS note. How the PO is handled? Any confirmation control functionality is used?

and i have created a transactional datasource
and when i am loading the data in csv file my data format is 201101 but in psa it is taking 110120
can u tell me how to correct this one.
when i activate the request to active data table it is showing transfered records are 12 and added records are 1 can u tell me how to correct this.

Hi Naveen,
You don't need to change the original infoobject but you can do this changes in DataSource. In your datasource goto field mapping tab and first of all you can map the date field to 0calmonth and on the same line you will have the option to choose the format.
There you can go for internal format or External format as per requirement at the same time you have the option to provide conversion EXIT name.

How to update the last date into DSO?

When I do grouping in a transformation from DSO1 to another DSO2 ,which means I will make three(for example) records from dso1 into one record in dso2 by using a higher level key in DSO2. I will sum the keyfigure quantity of DSO1, but using the last date of the field posting date in DSO1 to update DSO2. I could write a routing to achieve this.
But the question is, how can I make sure the three records are in one datapackge to through my routing?since the packages are excute in transformation one by one? If not,how can I update for the field of last date? And since I use sum to keyfigure,the sematic groups function in DTP can not be used.
I'm very anxious about it.Hope someone could help me.Thank you.
