How to display variable lenght grid within subreport

Hello;
In order to compensate and fill up space of a subreport to make up a full page or even generate a blank page to compensate for duplex printing, we have programmed the data to fill in blank records, as many as we need per invoice. These invoices have variable pages, due to many transactions.
The idea is to be able to draw grid, lines between the transaction within the subreport but we can't. The reason is because the data is populating blank lines and we only would like to show the grid over the populated fields.
Is there any control or option in Crystal to control this or handle it some other intelligent way?

hi Nikolay,
have a look at the attached report. extract the contents and change the .txt extension to .rpt.
there is a formula there that replicates lines based on the number of lines needed in total less the count of existing records. the formula is also Formatted to Can Grow. the Details B section also has Suppress Blank Section checked so that it doesn't show up when the formula is empty.

How to display response of http request as a web page in ABAP?

Hi all,
In ABAP, we can use class <b>cl_http_client</b> to send a http requst and then got the response data as a XSTRING variable. Usually, the response data is the html source of a web page. How to display this web page within dynpro?
I found we can use class <b>cl_gui_html_viewer</b> to display the web page of a URL or data in SAP web respository. Is there any way of using it to load response data in cl_http_client and display that web page?

1. use http_client->response->get_cdata( ).
to get the response data in string format instead of xstring format.
2. use FM CONVERT_STRING_TO_TABLE to covert the string to table of type W3HTML
3. use method

How to set a display variable

Hi all,
we have oracle EBS 12.1.1 installed on suse linux servers in our setup. one developer is using dev tools to have some graphs displayed while generating reports. all of a sudden we find that the graphs are not getting generated.
i am told that it is because of the DISPLAY variable in Linux. I am working as a Linux admin and I am not too sure how to set it.
i went to the company's data center to get to the console of the Linux box. I logged into the GUI and ran these commands
linux-43x3:~ # echo $DISPLAY
:0.0
linux-43x3:~ # export DISPLAY=:0.0
linux-43x3:~ # xhost +
access control disabled, clients can connect from any hostsince the display was showing :0.0, there sud not v been any issue in my opinion, but still i chose to run the export DISPLAY command.
still i find the graphs do not show up. should I run the command as root or should I run it as an apps user? and further if I log out of the GUI will the graphs still work?
i dont have much experience with oracle apps. please excuse me if this question is too silly

Hey Ananya,
I believe what you want to do is possible, but it will not be
easy. If you want to add a scroll bar that will scroll the graph
back and forth but keep the axis set, you would want to add a
horizontal or vertical scrollbar. Then you would create an event
handler for the scroll event. You would have to manually plot
different data within this scroll event. Unfortunately, there is
not really a built in way to do this with the Measurement Studio plot
control.

i want to use one complex sql statement which will return only one value and i need to display it in report. i'm new to OBIEE. i thought of creating a repository variable to hold that value. but im not sure of how to display the variable in the report.

Aperture is displaying the metering grid from my camera - how do I turn this off? If I use the loop the grid is not there.....any thoughts whould be appericated.

Does the command "View > Show Focus Points" disable the grid? I don't know of any other control that would show the metering details.

Using the same concept as described in How to dispaly Three Internal Table Data (One below another) in ALV OOPS .
All you need to add is passing your new containers as r_container parementer of factory method.

when you are maintaining the field catalog you can maintain the order by populating the value as 1,2,... into col_pos filed.
