How to use 2 dataset in on matrix

Hi All,
I have 2 datasets:
YearMonth, Orders
2013-1-1,300
2014-1-1,200
YearMonth,Customers
2013-1-1,1000
2014-1-1,5000
I would like to use Matrix to show the average orders per customer
It looks like:
YearMonth Orders/Customers
How to achieve it?
Thanks.

Hi BIMaster,
According to your description, you want to show data from two datasets in one matrix. Right?
In Reporting Services, it's not supported including data from different region scope in one tablix. However, we can use lookup() function to show the data from dataset2. We can use the expression below in the tablix:
=lookup(Fields!YearMonth.Value,Fields!YearMonth.Value,Fields!Customers.Values,"DataSet2")
Reference:
Lookup Function (Report Builder and SSRS)
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

    hai  everybody
    how to use a query in matrix data retrive...
    pls ..

    If u have created a UDT to store the data then U can retrive the data through recordset.
    oRecordset.doquery("SQL Statement")
    If u have taken the DB Data source to Manipulate then
    then type
    oMatrix.flushtoDataSource
    then
    U can retrive the data through DB Data source.

  • How to use dataset with an external scroller

    So I have a problem that I just can't seem to figure out. I
    have to have a data grid that will populate 20 rows and 3 columns
    with data - no big deal via Spry. I have that one down. The hard
    part is that I need to have some external slider that changes the
    data shown as a user slides it from right to left (and vice versa).
    I came across this slider
    http://www.filamentgroup.com/lab/developing_an_accessible_slider/
    that would work since the user can set the range that they'd
    like to display in the data grid, however setting up something like
    this is beyond me and I wasn't sure if there was a similar spry
    control available. Or any suggestions would be good too...

    You can use an external by creating the exact folders called "iMovie Events" and "iMovie Projects". They must be on the top directory ( ie, WD500/iMovie Events/) in order for iMovie to find them.
    Be warned. I believe Time Machine is messing with the source path names. If you use Time Machine, it may cause you to lose linkage to source clips.

  • How to use the transformation matrix in Placed Suite.

    I am in trouble how to use the transformation matrix Placed Art (PlacedSuite ).
           AIRealMatrix rasterMatrix;
    AIRealMatrix placedMatrix;
    if (artType == kRasterArt {
         error = sAIRaster-> GetRasterMatrix (art, & rasterMatrix);
    } else if ((artType == kPlacedArt) {
         error = sAIPlaced-> GetPlacedMatrix (art, & placedMatrix);
    When I converted to using the transformation matrix of PlacedArt, the target art could not be converted to expect.
    I could convert in case of the RasterArt. (The reference point of the transformation matrix of RasterArt is (0,0).)
    In the PlacedArt, preference point is not (0,0)?
    The tx/ty of the transformation matrix of PlacedArt is not correct?
    In the transformation matrix of RasterArt and Placed Art, how are those two different?

    The short answer is "no", (0, 0) is not the origin of placed art (unlike kRasterArt). Off the top of my head, I believe when you place art, its original state is upside-down and flipped horizontally in the upper-right of the artboard. If you want to see where it starts, simply create an identity matrix and apply that as the matrix for the kPlacedArt and you'll see how it starts. Yes, its pretty crazy.
    minimum99 posted some code that might help. I haven't tried it (I rolled my own years ago) but I'd give it a whirl:

  • How to use the Combo Box In MAtrix Colums

    HI Experts,
    Good Mornong.How to use the Combo Box In MAtrix Colums?
    Regards And Thanks,
    M.Thippa Reddy

    hi,
    loading data in to the combobox on form load.but, it should be done when atleast one row is active.
    the values what ever you are inserting in to combo should  be less than or eqhal to 100 or 150.if it exceeds beyond that performance issue arises.it takes more time to load all the data.so, it is better to have 100 or less.
    oMatrix.AddRow()
    RS = Nothing
    RS = ocompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.BoRecordset)
    RS.DoQuery("select ItemCode,ItemName from oitm")
    oCombo = oMatrix.Columns.Item("ColumnUID").Cells.Item(oMatrix.RowCount).Specific
    For i = 1 To RS.RecordCount
          If RS.EoF = False Then
                oCombo.ValidValues.Add(RS.Fields.Item("ItemCode").Value,RS.Fields.Item("ItemName").Value)
                RS.MoveNext()
          End If
    Next
    the above code is inserting data from database to column combobox.
    you can fill combo directly also as shown below.
    oCombo.ValidValues.Add("x","1")
    oCombo.ValidValues.Add("y","2")
    oCombo.ValidValues.Add("z","3")
    oCombo.ValidValues.Add("","")
    and what ever the values you are filling into combo should be unique.other wise it shows valid value exists.

  • How to avoid using dataset as data source

    Hi all,
    using dataset cause producing report slow. could anyone tell me how to use a stored procedure directly as data source?
    Thank you very much
    Clara

    You may also want to determine where exactly is the slow part of this happening. Remember that to get a report, there is a number of steps, other than connecting and retrieving data from the datasource.
    E.g.;
    Load of the runtime, load of the report, processing of the report, formatting of the report, etc.
    If you do find that datasets are the issue, than Don's suggestion is excellent.

  • How to use multiple tables in developing one Graph in Endeca Integrator

    We have the requirement where we want to show the matrix for a particular entity which is coming from two separate table, there is a join which is possible on both the tables to get the correct data. But we are not able to find how to use data from two tables. We can create the SQL query with all the joining conditions but there are many tables which are involved so performance of query will be a problem. Is there any way in Endeca where I can create two data sources using two separate queries and while showing the matrix , I can join both the tables to get the matrix .

    You have not mentioned the version of Endeca that is used for your application. Joins are recently introduced in version 2.3 and could be used for avoiding complex DEFINE analytical statements. For this to work, the data should be present in the same dgraph and a single data source in Studio should point to data from both sources.
    These may not yet be the type of SQL joins that you may expect them to be as performing complex joins is also costly in Endeca. Hope you are not expecting to join huge data sets.
    The best possible solution I could think for addressing this problem is to load denormalized data (at least for now) into Endeca and do aggregations in queries. We can denormalize data in multiple ways even using ETL tools not just SQL queries as the above comment states.

  • How to use filters on ios mobile devices (iPhone/iPad) using GPU rendering (Solved)

    Many moons ago I asked a question here on the forums about how to use filters (specifically a glow filter) on a mobile devices (specifically the iPhone) when using GPU rendering and high resolution.
    At the time, there was no answer... filters were unsupported. Period.
    Well, Thanks to a buddy of mine, this problem has been solved and I can report that I have gotten a color matrix filter for desaturation AND a glow filter working on the iPhone and the iPad using GPU rendering and high resolution.
    The solution, in a nut shell is as follows:
    1: Create your display object... ie: a sprite.
    2. Apply your filter to the sprite like you normally would.
    3. Create a new bitmapdata and then draw that display object into the bitmap data.
    4. Put the new bitmapdata into a bitmap and then put it on the stage or do what you want.
    When you draw the display object into the bitmapdata, it will draw it WITH THE FILTER!
    So even if you put your display object onto the stage, the filter will not be visible, but the new bitmapdata will!
    Here is a sample app I created and tested on the iphone and ipad
    var bm:Bitmap;
    // temp bitmap object
    var bmData:BitmapData;
    // temp bitmapData object
    var m:Matrix;
    // temp matrix object
    var gl:GlowFilter;
    // the glow filter we are going to use
    var sprGL:Sprite;
    // the source sprite we are going to apply the filter too
    var sprGL2:Sprite;
    // the sprite that will hold our final bitmapdata containing the original sprite with a filter.
    // create the filters we are going to use.
    gl = new GlowFilter(0xFF0000, 0.9, 10, 10, 5, 2, false, false);
    // create the source sprite that will use our glow filter.
    sprGL = new Sprite();
    // create a bitmap with any image from our library to place into our source sprite.
    bm = new Bitmap(new Msgbox_Background(), "auto", true);
    // add the bitmap to our source sprite.
    sprGL.addChild(bm);
    // add the glow filter to the source sprite.
    sprGL.filters = [gl];
    // create the bitmapdata that will draw our glowing sprite.
    sprGL2 = new Sprite();
    // create the bitmap data to hold our new image... remember, with glow filters, you need to add the padding for the flow manually. Should be double the blur size
    bmData = new BitmapData(sprGL.width+20, sprGL.height+20, true, 0);
    // create a matrix to translate our source image when we draw it. Should be the same as our filter blur size.
    m = new Matrix(1,0,0,1, 10, 10);
    // draw the source sprite containing the filter into our bitmap data
    bmData.draw(sprGL, m);
    // put the new bitmap data into a bitmap so we can see it on screen.
    bm = new Bitmap(bmData, "auto", true);
    // put the new bitmap into a sprite - this is just because the rest of my test app needed it, you can probably just put the bitmap right on the screen directly.
    sprGL2.addChild(bm);
    // put the source sprite with the filter on the stage. It should draw, but you will not see the filter.
    sprGL.x = 100;
    sprGL.y = 50;
    this.addChild(sprGL);
    // put the filtered sprite on the stage. it shoudl appear like the source sprite, but a little bigger (because of the glow padding)
    // and unlike the source sprite, the flow filter should acutally be visible now!
    sprGL2.x = 300;
    sprGL2.y = 50;
    this.addChild(sprGL2);

    Great stuff dave
    I currently have a slider which changes the hue of an image in a movieclip, I need it to move through he full range -180 to 180.
    I desperately need to get this working on a tablet but cant get the filters to work in GPU mode. My application works too slow in cpu mode.
    var Mcolor:AdjustColor = new AdjustColor();   //This object will hold the color properties
    var Mfilter:ColorMatrixFilter;                           //Will store the modified color filter to change the image
    var markerSli:SliderUI = new SliderUI(stage, "x", markerSli.track_mc, markerSli.slider_mc, -180, 180, 0, 1);   //using slider from http://evolve.reintroducing.com
    Mcolor.brightness = 0;  Mcolor.contrast = 0; Mcolor.hue = 0; Mcolor.saturation = 0;            // Set initial value for filter
    markerSli.addEventListener(SliderUIEvent.ON_UPDATE, markerSlider);                          // listen for slider changes
    function markerSlider($evt:SliderUIEvent):void {
        Mcolor.hue = $evt.currentValue;
        updateM();
    function updateM():void{
        Mfilter = new ColorMatrixFilter(Mcolor.CalculateFinalFlatArray());
        all.marker.filters = [Mfilter];
    how would I use your solution in my case
    many thanks.

  • [Forum FAQ] How to use parameter to control the Expand/Collapse drill-down options in SSRS report?

    In SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), drill-down is an action we can apply to any report item to hide and show other report items. They all are ways that we can organize and display data to help our users understand our report better. In this article,
    we are talking about how to use parameter to control the Expand/Collapse drill-down options in SSRS report.
    Consider that the report has a dataset (dsSales) with following fields: SalesTerritoryGroup, SalesTerritoryCountry, CalendarYear, SalesAmount.
    1. The report has the following group settings:
    Parent Group: SalesTerritoryGroup
     Child Group: SalesTerritoryCountry
      Child Group: CalendarYear
       Details: SalesAmount
    2. Add three parameters in the report:
    GroupExpand:
    Available Values: “Specify values”
    Label: Yes           Value: Yes
    Label: No            Value: No
    Default Values: “Specify values”

    4. Click Visibility in the left pane. Select “Show or hide based on an expression” and type with following expression:
    =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="Yes", False, True)
    Select “Display can be toggled by this report item” option, and select “SalesTerritoryGroup” in the drop down list.

  • What is SQL Trace and How to Use it .

    Dear Experts .
    1.) May You Please tell me What is the Purpose of SQL-Trace and How to use it ?
    2.) What is purpose of T-codes SE30 and ST22 ?
    Please it is urgent ...
    Regards :  Rajneesh

    Hi
    SQL Trace transaction ST05: The trace list has many lines that are not related to the SELECT statement in the ABAP program. This is because the execution of any ABAP program requires additional administrative SQL calls. To restrict the list output, use the filter introducing the trace list.
    The trace list contains different SQL statements simultaneously related to the one SELECT statement in the ABAP program. This is because the R/3 Database Interface - a sophisticated component of the R/3 Application Server - maps every Open SQL statement to one or a series of physical database calls and brings it to execution. This mapping, crucial to R/3s performance, depends on the particular call and database system. For example, the SELECT-ENDSELECT loop on a particular database table of the ABAP program would be mapped to a sequence PREPARE-OPEN-FETCH of physical calls in an Oracle environment.
    The WHERE clause in the trace list's SQL statement is different from the WHERE clause in the ABAP statement. This is because in an R/3 system, a client is a self-contained unit with separate master records and its own set of table data (in commercial, organizational, and technical terms). With ABAP, every Open SQL statement automatically executes within the correct client environment. For this reason, a condition with the actual client code is added to every WHERE clause if a client field is a component of the searched table.
    To see a statement's execution plan, just position the cursor on the PREPARE statement and choose Explain SQL. A detailed explanation of the execution plan depends on the database system in use.
    Run time analysis transaction SE30 :This transaction gives all the analysis of an ABAP program with respect to the database and the non-database processing.
    STEPS
    Run time analysis transaction SE30
    In Transaction SE30, fill in the transaction name or the program name which needs to be analyzed for performance tuning.
    For our case, let this be “ZABAP_PERF_TUNING”
    After giving the required inputs to the program, execute it. After the final output list has been displayed, PRESS the “BACK” button.
    On the original SE30 screen, now click on “ANALYZE” button.
    The percentage across each of the areas ABAP/ Database/System shows the percentage of total time used for those areas and load on these areas while running the program . The lesser the database load faster the program runs.
    SQL Trace – ST05
    Starting the Trace:
    To analyze a trace file, do the following:
    Choose the menu path Test  Performance Trace in the ABAP Workbench or go to Transaction ST05. The initial screen of the test tool appears. In the lower part of the screen, the status of the Performance Trace is displayed. This provides you with information as to whether any of the Performance Traces are switched on and the users for which they are enabled. It also tells you which user has switched the trace on.
    Using the selection buttons provided, set which trace functions you wish to have switched on (SWL trace, enqueue trace, RFC trace, table buffer trace).
    If you want to switch on the trace under your user name, choose Trace on. If you want to pass on values for one or several filter criteria, choose Trace with Filter.
    Typical filter criteria are: the name of the user, transaction name, process name, and program name.
    Now run the program to be analyzed.
    Stopping the Trace:
    To deactivate the trace:
    Choose Test Performance Trace in the ABAP Workbench. The initial screen of the test tool appears. It contains a status line displaying the traces that are active, the users for whom they are active, and the user who activated them.
    Select the trace functions that you want to switch off.
    Choose Deactivate Trace. If you started the trace yourself, you can now switch it off immediately. If the performance trace was started by a different user, a confirmation prompt appears before deactivation-
