How to use a thirdparty look and feel

how to use a thirdparty look and feel
i download some from
http://javootoo.l2fprod.com/
but how to use?

Include the downloaded jar file in your classpath.
Then during startup of your application, call UIManager.setLookAndFeel(className) where className is the class name of your Look & Feel

  • Hi how to create Mac os look and feel??

    hi
    please tell me how to create Mac os look and feel.
    thx.

    I've heard about a Skin look and feel, but I've never used it. Maybe you should look into that. It would probably be the easiest way to create a custom look and feel, but you won't automatically be able to use Aqua unless you're on a Mac. Sorry.

    Or the skin feature turns look and feel setting, as We know in java, unnecessary in javafx ?
    I´m using javafx 1.2.

    Canspian is not a look&feel, it's a skin.

  • How to give BSP Iview look and feel of portal??

    Hi All,
    I've created a BSP application that I use to create an Iview for portal.
    I thought that if i used htmlb tags that the look and feel of portal would be automatic to my app but its not.
    I've tried assigning portal css classes to a html table but there's no effect.
    I've previewed one of the standard ivews and viewed the source and found the path of the css file.  But when i looked for it on the server, while the out folder was there (com.sap.portal.design.portaldesigndata) , there was no css files in this folder.
    So i'm at a loss.  In summary, how do i get my bsp app to have the portal look and feel?????  I would prefer to use the css files so that if any changes are made to the standard, the changes will be reflected in my custom iviews too.
    Any help, would be most welcome,
    Liz.

    Hi Liz,
    on the properties tab for the BSP application try selecting the "Supports Portal Integration" checkbox.
    Cheers

  • Changing the fonts used by the look and feel?

    I want to be able to change the font settings for the program I'm writing. Is there any way to do this without writing my own theme and/or LookAndFeel? For example, is there a way to just use the Nimbus Look & Feel, but override the fonts it uses somehow? I've been browsing around and it seems like most solutions are to write your own theme from scratch, which I'd like to avoid if possible (I don't want to change anything else, just the fonts!).
    Any help or guidance is very much appreciated. Please let me know if I was unclear.

    Thank you both for the links. I realize I didn't ask this initially, and you both answered the question I asked, but I'm actually curious if there's a way to do this consistently across different looks and feels. Just some sort of blanket command that, regardless of what the Look and Feel is, overrides font selections. Perhaps I'm looking for a way to override the mappings of logical fonts? I'm not exactly sure how one would accomplish it.
    I don't do this because I want to force the user into using a specific font, but actually I'm trying to add a feature that allows the user to override the Look & Feel's font choices with their own if they so choose.
    But I can't control what Look and Feel they're using (well, I can, but I have chosen not to).
    Does any of that make sense?

  • How can I include a JSP, Maximized, and retain look and feel(WSRP)

    I have created a page group and defined a root page with a certain look and feel. There are two portlets on the page. Once the user clicks on a submit button, the portlet performs some action and includes a jsp included in the EAR file. The portlet needs to maximize the UI to display the jsp correctly.
    Once control returns back to the screen, the look and feel is lost and uses Oracle's default style. I have two questions:
    1. From the portlet, how can I retain the look and feel of the page group when referencing "external" jsp (i.e JSPs in the deployed portal EAR file).
    2. How can I "redirect" the user to the home page in a standard way? If there is not a standard way, how do I use the Oracle specific utilities to do it?
    All of my JSPs are developed externally out of the scope of the Oracle Portal.
    Environment - Oracle Portal 10.1.4 on Release 2 using WSRP to contact Oracle Release 3, hosted EAR file (WSRP Producer).
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi José,
    I don't think that is possible. But you can import the css files that ep uses for its look and feel and try to give your web pages similar look and feel. The tables and other controls used in EP are totally different and are done through complex JavaScript coding instead of simple HTML tags. If you want exact lok and feel then i thin you must go for a Webdynpro based application rather then a J2EE application with JSPs.

  • How to include look and feel features in the Hyperion Financial Reports

    Can anybody suggest me how I can enhance the look and feel features of Hyperion Financial Reports, any references
    2) Will traffic lighting functionality is present in Hyperion Reports (FR), if not present how can achieve this functionality
    in FR ?
    3) We have user look and feel features like pinboard in the web analyis reports, but are there any certailn features
    in Hyperion Reports ??

    You can use Conditional Formatting to produce stoplights in Report Studio.
    If you know of specific things that you want to see, try reading the manual. I cannot give you details of every type of formatting you may want to see from such a vague post.

  • Change of Layout/Look and Feel in BI 7 Reports.

    Hi,
    This is Prem from NetWeaver Portals.
    Currently we have a couple of BI 7.0 reports integrated into portal.
    We have also used Portal Themes to alter the Look and Feel of the BI reports with respect to Heading colors, alternate row colors etc. But the scope of changing the Look and feel of BI reports from the Portal theme is very limited.
    Is there a way to modify it further from BI's CSS?
    Where is this functionality provided in SAP BI 7.0?
    We are also interested in changing the Layout of the reports in BI. i.e. unlike the standard BI format of reports as generated from the Web Application designer, we would like to change the layout as well.
    How is this layout change carried out? Web Templates?
    Kindly spell out a solution for me as I'm not aware of BI
    Thanks and Regards,
    Prem

    Could yo please explain little detial. how do you changed the look and feel of reports through the portal themes. We are trying to change the colors of the execptions and text box and some more.  we have created a custom theme  in which we changed the  complex formatted table  crictal, bad, good colors. when we assigned this theme through personalization to the user, custom theme colors are not seen in the BW report.
    Please let us know
    thanks and regards

  • Strange look and feel behavior

    Hi!
    I'm developing a little program using JDK 1.1.8. I'm using the Metal look and feel, and everything goes well. The componentes are showed perfectly. Because I need to distribute the program to other PCs, I have compressed the program into a Jar file. In the other PC I've installed the JRE 1.3 that has capability to double click on a jar file and run it. The problem is that when I run the program with the jar method, the size of the components changes (especially the tables, and the fonts), and I dont understand why, because I have specified in the beginning of the program to use the Metal Look and feel.
    What can be the problem?
    Thanks a lot!

    There've been an awful lot of bug fixes and changes between 1.1.8 and 1.3 -- I'm not surprised there'd be some differences.
    I'd say install 1.3 on development machine and see how it looks -- probably looks different as well. If you want to know specifically why, then you're gonna have to read all the release notes for each update from 1.1.8 thru 1.3 and you'll probably find alot of reasons.

  • Give me Guidence on the Look and Feel

    Hi ,
    I created one custom Look and feel (CLAF) stylesheet(like., font color, types are changed) for my project requirements.
    Everything is working fine.but the problem is under Footer, global links are not visible and also no space between the copyright and Privacy statement. how i will resolve this problem. please help me on this.
    Regards,
    Chandra.

    Chandra,
    Have you used the "Customizing Look and Feel Administrator Responsibility" to create the new look and feel.
    That has some bugs.
    If you have followed the standard way of doing it, you can log a SR with support and ask.
    Please refer the following notes,
    Note 412718.1 - How To Change The Colour And Fonts Size In 11.5.10.2 Version
    Note 566578.1 - Change the look-and-feel of Oracle Applications Using
    CLAF(UI)
    This might help.
    Thanks.

  • Look and Feel : Metal !

    I'm working with "design" in JBuilder, all components are "Swing" but when
    i run my program then it's not display in Metal model, it's display in Windows model.
    How i do to my program display in Metal model? Please eveyone help me!

    Hi! :)
    That's because JBuilder uses the native look and feel each time. You can comment out the lines in the code JBuilder is producing that are responsible for the LAF.
    If I may, a piece of advice... Forget JBuilder's designer! It's crap!

  • Program Ignoring Nimbus Look and Feel ?

    I'm trying to use the new look and feel of Nimbus, and it seems like my program is just ignoring the option. Is there anything else I have to do other than this ?
    try{ UIManager.setLookAndFeel("com.sun.java.swing.plaf.nimbus.NimbusLookAndFeel");     }
                        catch (javax.swing.UnsupportedLookAndFeelException e){ }
                        catch (ClassNotFoundException e) { }
                        catch (InstantiationException e) { }
                        catch (IllegalAccessException e) { }
    self.setSize(800, 600);
    self.setLocationRelativeTo(null);
    self.setVisible(true);
    I'm not even getting exceptions either. It just looks like the Windows standard format.
    Thoughts ?

    JHarnach wrote:
    The original code included simple print statements to alert me, I trimmed it out to clean up the code for viewing.Then a more appropriate trimmed up equivalent would have been:
    UIManager.setLookAndFeel("com.sun.java.swing.plaf.nimbus.NimbusLookAndFeel");
    self.setSize(800, 600);
    self.setLocationRelativeTo(null);
    self.setVisible(true);because as you said, you weren't getting any exceptions, so no catch blocks were executed anyway. See how this would have not led to the confusion that you were swallowing exceptions?
    Anyway, I don't know the answer, other than just to say I suspect something is amiss in your assertion that no exception was being thrown. Perhaps you did indeed swallow the exception. Since the actual code you are running is different than what you posted here, who knows.
