How to use Assignment Enforcement(Work Center Maintenance)

I thought that I was not able to start SFC in the work center which Assignment Enforcement is set in Enforced.
However, SFC was able to be begun and to be completed by using POD in the following situations.
Is the mistake found in my way to use Assignment Enforcement?
Product A can use just resource RSC01 in operation PR001.
Resource RSC01 is assigned to work center WC001.
I set Assignment Enforcement in Enforced.
And No user assign to work center WC001.
I start SFC at operation PR001 and resource RSC01.

Let me quote the guru of ME first:
"The Assignment Enforcement option only applies to the actual assignments made in SWA (Rich Supervisor Work Assignment). If any assignments were made in SWA, then those will be enforced as defined by this rule. There is still one validation that is performed no matter how this option is set: The operator must still be in the W/C to perform the work in the Rich POD. We donu2019t want users from WC1 working in WC2, ever. That is why we always make this validation, even if the rule is set to None."
So, in case you use Rich POD, SWA and Assignment Enforcement option, then you should see the error message caused by Assignment Enforcement.

1. You can using the user exit or BADI to control this.
CONFPP01            PP order conf.: Determine customer specific default values
CONFPP02            PP order conf.: Customer specific input checks 1
CONFPP03            PP order conf.: Cust. specific check after op. selection
CONFPP04            PP order conf.: Customer specific input checks 2
CONFPP05            PP order conf.: Customer specific enhancements when saving
CONFPP06            PP Order Confirmations: Actual Data Transfer
CONFPP07            Single Screen Entry: Inclusion of User-Defined Subscreens
BADI
WORKORDER_CONFIRM
the above are the user exits that are available fro the CO11N tcode.
2. we have to take a help of the abaper to write coding fort his.
3. The user exit should be called for the
Work Center : YYYYY
then check the relevant Work Center Once is used in open Maintainence Order and if it has a entry if then give a error message else allow the CO11N to perform.

HR assignment to Work center

Hi All,
I am having few queries with the above subject.
My customer is asking that he will assign persons(from HR) to the work centers. and based on the assignments done he want some functionality like
1. At the time of operation confirmation through CO11N in the person field only assigned persons(in Work center) should be available
2. At the time of capacity availability check system should check the person attached to work center only. e. g. suppose two persons for 8 hrs are assigned to work center then if order need 18 labor hours, in this case system should tell that capacity is not available. and then if third person added to Work center master then it will tell capacity is available.
Now my question is :
Whether above requirements are possible? if yes then please please tell me how to do?\

Well Work center is the main integration part for both PP and HR OK.
As your requirement is to maintain the responsible person for the work center follow the path:
1) SPRO -
> PRODUCTION -
> BASIC DATA -
> WORK CENTER -
> GENERAL DATA -
> DETERMINE PERSON
    RESPONSIBLE.
2) GO TO THE PARTICULAR WORK CENTER YOU ARE USING THROUGH T-CODE CR02 OR CR03 OK.
    THEN GO TO THE TAB CAPACITIES TAB DOWN THERE ARE PUSH BUTTONS THE VERY FIRST ONE IS CAPACITY BUTTON
    PRESS IT -
> YOU WILL GO TO CAPACITY HEADER SCREEN -
> ON THE TOP YOU CAN FIND PUSH BUTTON CALLED
    AVAILABLE CAPACITY PROFILE -
> ON THE TOP OF THE YOU CAN SEE A GRAPHIC PRESS IT THERE YOU CAN GET AN

I have A REAL URGENT REQUIREMENT as far as activity type and assignment to Work Center is concerned.
I work for a client who is a manufacturer of Paint equipment. I'm responsible for capturing the cost of an assembly activity of spray guns, which is the last step of routing. However, there are 4 processes/steps of routing which are outsourced to the subcontracting vendors. we recieve the facbricated, anodised guns which are assembled in our factory.
I need to get the cost of assembly, which I have created as an actvity type in KL01 and planned for the same using KP26. However the system is throwing up errors related to costing, and I'm not sure about the assignment areas in work center.
And above all I'm not sure of various fields in KP26 like capacity field and what do we assign.
can anybody help me with the series of steps for me to be able to pick up the cost. or if there is any sort of material in this regards, plz mail it to: __ email removed by moderator

Hi,
You need to do the following:
1) Create an Activity type for the Assembly activity.
2) Define a Work Centre in PP (T-Code CR01) which represents the location where the Assembly is carried out.
3) Define a Cost Centre corresponding to the above Work Centre.
4) Plan for the Activity quantity for the combination of the Cost Centre and Activity type (KP26)
5) Plan for the Overhead Costs which are incurred on this Cost Centre which need to be included in the Standard cost of the Assembly.(KP06)
6) Assign the Cost centre & Acivity type to the Work Centre in CR02.(This is possible only after you do 5 above)
7) Execute the Plan price calculation (T-code KSPI)
After you do all of the above, when you do the Costing Run, all the relevant costs will be picked.
Ofcourse all the relevant master data for PP like BOM, Routing with the relevant assignments of materials to operations, etc should be in place.

How to use Assignment Rate

Hi all,
Are there anybody know how to use assignment rates?
Our organization use grade/step as salary schedule. everytime when people are only doing temporary job , we need to set up new grade and step which is not conveinent. we didn't enable the salary admin form,therefore I am thinking about using assignment rates for those employee who retired but come back to subing temporarily?
Any suggestion will be very helpful!

Is your temporary workers stored as contingent workers or Employees. If they are stored as employees my understanding you cannot use the assignment rate, instead you use Salary admin with out grade structure

How to change the main work center and work center of each operation when generating work order by maintenance plan

Dear experts,
I face a problem that system get main work center from equipment master data as a default main work center in maintenance plan when creating maintenance plan. however, if main work center in equipment is changed later, the change will not synchronize to related maintenance plan. if work order is generated from maintenance plan, main work order in order is defaulted from maintenance plan instead of updated work center in equipment.
another problem is that, for those orders generated by maintenance plan, the work centers in operations is defaulted from task list in maintenance plan. in most case, work center in task list is dummy. Actually the work is done by work center in equipment master data.
My expectation is how to auto replace the main work center and work center of operations in work order with the one in equipment master data if order is generated by maintenance plan? is there any standard configuration or enhancement/BADi that can help with this requirement?

Sorry - development is the only way.
Another option is to create a batch program that runs before your IP30 run(s) and updates any maintenance items and task lists with the correct work centres.

You cannot just change it, it is unique to the plant. If the plant is wrong then you need to create the work centre again to the correct plant.

How to use the validation work in Both TAB and Mouse keys in Forms6i

I have a validation script once it's validated it should execute the query.But using When-Validate-Item i can't use execute_query.I am able to use the validation in Key-Next-Item trigger but if the user moves the cursor using mouse then it's not working.
How to use the validation script working in Both Scenarios(Tab and Mouse keys).
Can anyone please give inputs to rectify the above issue?.

So you have multiple fields, but on at least one of them if it's valid you immediately want to execute the query?
You could create a hidden field in a control block Query_Now default 'N'. In a WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM on your item, if it's determined to be valid, then set Query_Now to 'Y'.
In a WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE at block level, check if Query_Now is 'Y'. If it is then execute the query (and set it back to 'N').

Cost Center assignment to Work Center(CRCO)

Hi Experts,
I was updating Costing data to Work center. I used standard LSMW 0260, 0000, RCRAPDX2, D., but i am getting error as 'Work Center already exists' since i am updating Costing seperately after loading Work Center.
Please help me in updating this data with any standard program available. Otherthan prefering recording method of LSMW or BDC.

We can assign the person in work center via HR assignment under capacity planning tab & it works for work force planning. But before going to capacity tab , we have one more tab for HR Assignment. Can you suggest what difference it will make if we assign the person under this tab.

How to split employies in work center

Dear All,
i am workin in to chocolate production with discreet manufacturing where we have many stages in last stage of production the chocolates will be wrapped by 200 employee. now i want to know how should i map this scenario in sap pp. some experties had given some solution like i have to split it in work center and in routing i did that. but after when i have given the quinties in demand managment (md61) and run MRP with quintity 100 it is not creating planned order it is giving me the massage 100- and my stratergy group is 10.
i will be obliged if any one can help me.

How to use field "responsible Cost center" in Report Painter

I create report painter by using standard LIbrary and want to use field "Responsible Cost Center" as a parameter in order to display report in hierachy.But the standard Library "6O1" doesn't provide this field .
So I try to create new library by copy the standard "6O1" and using the structure "CCSS".But it doesn't show this "Responsible Cost Center" Field as a parameter .
Please give me an advice step by step the way to get this field as parameter in report painter

Hi,
I have a similar requirement. I have followed OSS note 358251 as an example to add the 'Responsible Cost Center', however it doesn't display in the report even after I choose the field for display. The steps I have followed are -
1) Added the field ZZ_KOSTV in the include structure CI_CC1S.
2) Using transaction GRCT, table CCSS, I added a characteristic KOSTV with Def field OBJNR, and filler routinue EZZ_FILL_KOSTV. I then wrote code in this routinue to populate the value KOSTV from AUFK table in the include program FK21REZZ. In debug mode, I can see correct values are populated in this field.
3) I created a copy of an existing report in the library 6O1, changed it and in the Total line, added the field Responsible Cost Center to the Selected Characteristics. When I save, regenerate and execute the report, the value for Responsible Cost Center doesn't get displayed though the displayed orders have a value populated in this field and when I debug I can see the value is passed ut correctly form the filler routinue to the field KOSTV.
Please help and let me know what I need to do to be able to see this field in the output result.

How to make the IC_EMAIL work center working?

Hi Gurus,
I am testing the email funcation of SAP delivered business role UTIL_IC (Utilities IC Agent). The email profile is 'DEFAULT' with email provider as ICI. The work center is IC_EMAIL.
After I clicked the email option under communication through the navigation bar, the email screen was loaded. However, there is no any response after I clicked the 'new email' button (the BP was confirmed). Also the screen was frozen in the email screen and it did not go anywhere no matter what else option I chose in the navigation bar.
I checked the naviagtion bar profile UTL-IC and IC_EMAIL is maintained in the generic outbound plug mapping as below.
IC_EMAIL Display IC_EMAIL2 (LogLinkID)
IC_EMAIL Create TEMAILCR (TargetID)
Could you help to shed some light on this? Also does anyone know which component is behind this IC_EMAIL screen (I could not choose any field in this screen to press F2)?

How to use iMac to work with windows computers like pcAnywhere?

I just bought my first iMac, and love it. I run pcAnywhere (version 12.1) on a few windows computers for work, but need to connect to them via my new iMac and using a phone line modem. How do I do this; and I am fairly new to Mac. I have tried to install the pcAnywhere on my Mac, using pcAnywhere Cross Platform, but it will not connect at all and the error code I get is below:
You can't open the application "pcAnywhere CrossPlatform" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.
It took me over an hour to get it installed, via java downloads. I connect on my old PC's with a phone number to connect via the modem because where I am connecting to has no Internet other than a phone line.
Please help!!

The PCAnywhere application you are trying to run is too old to be supported on a Mac running Lion, Mountain Lion, or any newer MacOS. I would check to see if PCAnywhere has released an updated version of the application that you can use. If not, you will probably need to go the route of virtualization (or keep an old PC around for supporting work).
If you have to use virtualization, then you might want to consider using Virtual Box (a free app) to install Windows 7 on a virtual PC, then just run the PC version of your PCAnywhere software just like you would on any other PC. You could use Virtual Box to install a MacOS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) instance and run your existing Mac version of the PCAnywhere software, but you would probably be better off to just use the Windows version.
