How to use JavaSript library stored in mime type repository???

Hi Experts
I currently have the situation that I would like to deploy several JavaScript functions in a multitude of templates. I need my own JavaScript functions as the provided functionality is not sufficient.
I have figured that I can add my function by using the script item and that works fine, but it requires the script to be entered in every template.
My idea is to store the central JS file in the mime type repository and then reference it, however it doesn't seem to work.
Does anybody have an idea on how to make it work or alternatively have a central JavaScript library that is used by several different templates?

Thanks for the answer, DEEPU's comment realer helped.
Another solution is to create a Web Item that contains the coding. The Web Item can then be stored as reusable. This also looks like a neat solution for the problem.

Symptoms:
1. I have notice three days ago that Spotlight allways answers I should go to the web when I look for data in my computer. It seems that Spotlight can not find anything from my computer.
2. Timemachine has no data before the 28th. January 2014 (!?) No idea why this happens
3. In Finder window when I go to "Alle meine Daten"(= All my data) there is absolutely nothing there...it means 0 objekts are there.
4.In Systemeinformationen (=Systeminformations) if I go to Software and then to Programs... there is nothig there because the Plug-In do not react quick enough (Das Plug-In hat beim Sammeln dieser Informationen nicht schnell genug reagiert). I am asking me which Plug-In it is and where to find it...
5. On my iPhone the Photo-stream suddenly shows only 110 fotos from Dezember on, but in My MacBookPro the iPhoto Stream shows of course the lasts 1000 ones...from 25.01.2013 to 03.02.14 as it did allways before.
I am not going to sync anything until I discover what is going on...
6. On my Contacts suddenly appeared the link address of a "game" in my own card ( both in iCloud and Lokal AddressBook)... and I have never ever played an online game (!?). So I deleted this two links as I discovered them some days ago...
I do not know what is going wrong here but I'm afraid to loose all my data in the computer, so I am making a secure copy in an external drive right now...
Could it be a virus inside... a software problem may be...?

when you install web start, the mime type jnlp is associated with WEBstart.
The WEB start home page has code to request an
install if web start is not on the user system.
On the web server, of course you need to specify the association between a
.jnlp file and the mime type. This is in the configuration of the server.
It would be nice if standard ISP's provided that for user directories.
Anyone think AOL would do this?
After all it should not cost anything like installing servlets.

I would like to ask for your kind help,
I am facing an issue with the call library node.
I have a C++ function(stdcall), which has void as data type
error code XXXX(hwnd, lID, getValue, *void data1, *void data2)
the data1 and data2 types are always changing depending upoin the value of "getValue".
Primarily i can use call library node multiple times and adapt each node according to the data types of data1 and data2, and extract the values and use in the code. Here is no issue. Real question is:

How can i just use one time call library node and make a case depending upon the "getvalue", which will control the data type of data1 and data2. Here i really looking for solutions.
My trials:
i used varaints as input to the call libray node for data1 and data2, and selected Parameters in call libraby node as " Adapt to type". here labview just crashed.

A variant is a very specific LabVIEW datatype (really a C++ type object internally) and trying to pass that to a function, which excepts a flat memory pointer there, for sure will crash very quickly.
As to endianess, yes Unflatten will be able to adjust for endianess, which in this case however is most likely exectly NOT what you want. So make sure that the you select native type for the endianess input on Unflatten from String. LabVIEW internally works with whatever is the native endianess, as will most likely your C++ DLL. The platform independent big endian format does only come into play when you receive data streams over some streaming interface like a network connection. Here it is desirable to use an endian format that is independent from the actual platform that generates and consumes the data stream. LabVIEWs default endianes is big endian here.
But as long as you pass data directly to native components like DLLs there is no difference in endianess between what LabVIEW uses and what those components use.

How to Use iTunes Library in older version

I updated to the latest version of iTunes and I do not like it. I went throught the trouble to move iTunes to another disk so I could download a the previous version of iTunes. When I finally got the older iTunes installed, it was unable to use my iTunes library because the library was somehow updated by the never version of iTunes. What a pain.
So, I'm back where I started and having to learn how to use the new iTunes.
I was more than happy with the previous version of iTunes that I had (I think that was 10. something)....
I would like to try again to go back to it...if someone can tell me how to get around the library problem.
Otherwise, I guess I'll just have to learn to live with the changes and do the extra work involved with using the new iTunes.
Is this a luxury problem? If so, I guess I'm just a spoiled baby boomer. Wah!

In your case you will want to set the iPod to "Manual Update". THis option will allow you to connect the iPod to a computer and will not auto update so songs are lost. when your iPod is on this setting you can use iTUnes to dran and drop songs from the PC to your iPOd (Not the reverse).
To set the iPod to manual, connect the iPOd to your PC, rightclick, and select "iPod Options" here you will switch from "Auto Update" to "Manual". When you change this and hit OK you will get a pop up telling you you have to manually eject the iPod while on this setting. this is normal.

How to use a central "deposit" for mimes

I have created several web dynpro applications which use several *.gif files for the buttons. Today I always copy the used *.gif files to the mimes directory of each application/component.
I rather would like to use one central "deposit" for these mimes.
Just for testing I tried the following solution:
1. I created a new local DC, application XXApp and component XXComp for storing the icons
2. I created another local DC, application YYApp Component YYComp and added the following statements into Component YYComp:
WDDeployableObjectPart appPart = WDDeployableObject.getDeployableObjectPart( "xx.com/example",
"XXApp", WDDeployableObjectPartType.APPLICATION);
wdContext.currentContextElement().setCancelIcon(WDURLGenerator.getWebResourceURL(appPart, "Cancel.gif"));
I also created a View with a button and used the context CancelIcon to contain the URL to the Cancel.gif icon but I did not manage to get it working
What am i doing wrong or is there another way to do this job.

You can create a alias for a folder inside the server and store all the related images inside that folder.
Alias is created using http provider service in visual administrator.

How to get at a mail of MIME type application/vnd.ms-excel?

My java proggie has to deal with an email sent with Outlook '97 (don't ask me why it has to be that) and this email has the following header fields (see below). Now, my program works fine if the email has MIME type multipart/mixed. So, how do I have to do to handle an email of MIME type application/vnd.ms-excel (outline of logic or even some code snippet will be greatly appreciated)?

Depends on what you want to do with it.
If you want to access the data in the Excel spreadsheet
and make sense of it, you're going to need some
Java classes to interpret an Excel spreadsheet.

Using fragment library with SAP MIME repository?

Hi,
I am new here so I hope I'm posting this in the right place.
We use Adobe LiveCycle Designer as part of the SAP Interactive Forms product. We want to use the fragment library but I am unclear how that will work unless we can connect to the SAP MIME Repository.
Does anyone here have any experience with making this work?
Also ... is there any online resource (other than SAP's SDN) with specific help documentation for using LiveCycle Designer ES with SAP?
We are on SAP Netweaver 7.01 and LiveCycle Designer 8.1.

Actually I did not find a way to use the fragment library with referenced objects. By 'referenced" we would mean to be able to change the object in the library and all referencing items would be updated. We did NOT find how to do that.
What we did find, that is still useful to us, and probably anyone working in a development team, is that we could create the library in a shared location and store common fragments there. To use the fragments, go to the library, drag the fragment from the library to your form layout, then 'convert to embedded object' (I think this is on the right click menu, Fragments> convert to embedded object).
This way you still get the benefit of consistency amongst forms using the same element, and only having to develop each element once.

How to keep A3 library stored in different locations in sync.

Hello,
I use referenced files, however, even having relatively small previews stored within A3, one of my libraries is over 34GB.
Main library is stored on MP. However, to do images selection, sorting, key-wording, etc. whenever I have free time and no access to MP, I copy the A3 libraries to my MBP. To copy latest versions from one computer to another takes time as I copy entire libraries.
The question: is there are any way to copy only parts of a library that are modified or newly added?
Hopefully there are more A3 users that need the same functionality and there is an easy way implemented to A3 already.

I did some research about information merging to A3 libraries.
Firstly, I copied A3 library from one computer to another and did some changes in one of libraries. Then I tried to import entire library from one computer to another selecting "merge" option. It failed right from the beginning bringing the "The library could not be imported because it is a duplicate of the library currently running" message.
Then on MBP I created an empty library and imported entire library from MP, did some meta data changes in one of libraries and tried to import entire library to unchanged one. My fault was that I played with my original relatively big library therefore it took some time. After an import process I realized that no changes were applied. I tried it another time selecting another library to resolve conflicts - same result.
I did more experiments, however the only way to get changes merged into a library was to export modified project and merge it to another library. Then, because the project is duplicated I had to remove an original one and relocate to correct place the one I just imported.
During these experiments I found that:
- if during an "Export a project as New Library…" to leave "Include previews in exported library" unchecked, visiting newly imported library for the first time it takes a few moments to regenerate thumbnails (smaller versions of preview) and some thumbnails are distorted. And it is a bug of generating thumbnails from the previews. If a thumbnail is generated but distorted, to fix it one can open a preview, wait until "Loading…" at the top of a image disappears and close the preview or by right mouse click, holding Opt/Alt and choosing "Generate previews" from menu. However, this works fine if the thumbnails of the images are already generated and if not, this "Generate previews" is useless. Which means it is necessary to go to "Photos" and wait until all the thumbnails are generated and then use this "Generate previews" option to heal broken thumbs.
I discovered this after I activated "Photos", but did not scrolled down to force A3 to generate thumbnails, hit Ctrl + A (select all) and "Generate previews". Previews regeneration took about 10 hours on my 24GB RAM 3.33GHz Mac Pro. When it is done, scrolling through images I found that thumbs are not created and some of ones that are appearing/generating during my scroll are distorted. The results of this quite long test were disappointing.
I have one more question: I found an option to export metatags from an A3 project, however, I did not find the way to import/apply the exported metadata to the pictures it belong to but located in another library.

How to use @prompt for stored procedure in universe

I am using Bo XI R3.1 and universe was built on stored procedures and database is sql server 2005.
I would like to show the list of values for prompts in report which they are based on parameters given for stored procedures in universe. Instead of typing the value for prompts the user should select some values for the prompt.
I've tried in the universe putting the prompt syntax but didn't work could any one please let me know how this will be achived

Please try the following steps mentioned below:
1. Go to Insert -> click Tables and Import the table which needs to assign LOVu2019s into Universe panel.
Objects which are created on tables may appear in inactive mode.
2. Right click on the stored procedure -> Click on Edit stored procedures.
3. Click on the Browse universe objects from Stored Procedure Editor. (Button avaial on the left)
4. Select the object which you want to assign for the List of values.
5. Enter the desired text which you want to display in the WebI reports in the Edit prompt Label.
6. Export the Universe.
Before doing the above steps:
While creating for SP Univ, a parameter screen appears after selecting SP. In the "Value" field enter a dummy value and
from the "Next Execution" drop down at the right select "Prompt me for a value".

How to use old library with new computer?

I keep all my music on an external HD. Recently, my main computer died, so I had to start using another iMac. It's running Tiger and iTunes 6, but I have never used the iTunes before. How do I get this computer to "see" my old iTunes library (on the external)?

You are welcome. One thing that comes to mind is that I believe when you use an external drive to hold your library, it is important that the external is on and mounted when ever you start up iTunes. My understanding is if you start iTunes and the external drive is not available, then iTunes reverts back to the default location on your internal. You then have to reset it back to the external, but I think you also have to re-add everything all over again.
So be sure you always have the external up and ready whenever you open iTunes.

How to use /Network/Library/Fonts

I have several computers (some running OSX 10.5, some 10.4) connected on a home LAN. I'd like to centralize my font management so I don't have to manually install fonts on every machine.
Apple suggests I could put all my fonts in /Network/Library/Fonts and have them shared among the computers, but doesn't give any details: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2435
I see that all my machines have a /Network directory, but it's empty. Anyone know how I can set this up? Thanks!!

+"The Network folder is for fonts shared among all users of a local area network. This feature is normally used on network file servers, under the control of a network administrator."+
For this to work the way you want it to you would need OSX Server. There may be someone who could possibly outline how this can be done in a non-server environment (doubtful) over on the Server Forum:

You may be able to view your photos from windows if you have special software that allows you to read Mac formatted disks - but you can not properly access your iPhoto library - and finding the photo you want and the correct version of it is difficult - you really can not use the iPhoto library from a PC
the iPhoto library MUST be on a volume formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) which the PC can not even use without special software - be sure that you have not put your iPhoto library on an external drive formatted for the PC or you will have problems
