How to use cusomer exit to set month-revelant auth setting for reporting

Hi,
Our Client has a req regarding reporting authorization in BI2004s. They don't allow their employees' to view sales revenue and gross profit of LAST MONTH. But this restriction only effective in the beginning three days of each month.
We realize that we can activate setting "Auth revlevant" for Calendar Year month and restrict certain month for viewing data purpose. But if we want the auth req "data of last month not allowed in the beginning thress days of each month", can we do it with Customer exit for "Calendar year /Month"? If YES, can anyone please tell us how, or any better idea to solve this issue??

HI hsing,
define custom defined month at taregt level.
Means, from Day3 of Month1 to Day2 of Month2 need to calculate as CM1 (Custom Month 1) and use this Custome Month for restiction.
If the InfoProvider already in production, not in a position to change the transformations, define a Virtual Key figure (VKF) in the InfoProvider and write customer exit on the key figure,
if calday <= day2 of Month1 VKF = 0,
else VKF = 1.
Display the records where VKF = 1.
Hope it will help you to find the solution for ur requirement.

Hi there,
My client's requirement is to block the overall status of the Sales Order header under status tab to be blocked when user r-enters a new scheduled date in the "First Date" column in the SO.
When they goto VA02, & put a new date it must automatically put a delivery block in the header as well as make the order header status to be blocked.
I see the First date field in the SO is in a Structure RV45A, the field name is ETDAT.
Can you let me know how to use User exit MV45AFZZ?
When doing it, it must put the Delivery block in table VBAK LIFSK.

How do you change the default setting for RTF documents from TextEdit to MS Word

How do you change the default setting for RTF documents from TextEdit to MS Word, I download forms from the Canadian government and they use RTF as a standard, they are supposed to open as MS Word documents (Yes I have Office for MAC 2011) but when download the document it goes to TextEdit which messes up the form format. I can down load it right click and go "open with" MS Word but how can I get the default chnaged to save this step.

In Firefox > Preferences, click the Applications tab. If RTF is there, use the pulldown menu in the Action column to pick MS Word. If RTF is not there, there are instructions here for how to add file types.

First an entry need to be added to the client tnsnames.ora that uses a SERVICE_NAME instead of a SID.

That has nothing to do with styles nor Pages, it is a System/Printer Driver setting.
You can experiment to see if the Printer Settings stick with your document, but in the past this has not worked.

In the load rule in the dimension build settings you would need to go to the tab dimension definition, choose the time dimension and right click on it. Select Edit properties. If you have not done so, set the dimension to be the time dimension. Then go to the generations/levels tab and set the generation names you need. For example if you want YTD, you would set the generation name to Year, if you want QTD set it to Quarter. You would set the number to the generation number that coorisponds to the generation. The DBAG has the list of names for all of the DTS members.

That would be be impossible unless you did away entirely with page formatting entirely. Each author may have their own idea of what you should be seeing and how you are to see it. By site which is the default is about the best that you can do.
If you have a serious problem you could change the resolution of your display, but it had better be a very large monitor.

I'm using two spry data sets in one page. When I add the first spry data set to my page everything runs OK, When I add the second spry data set to the page the first data set stops working. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Hi Pooja,
The ABAP code can be written inside the functional module assigned to user exit macro.
Start Transaction SMOD.Enter APODM005 in the 'Enhancement' field. Select 'Display'.
Then choose 'Components' or Shift+F11 and double-click the name of the function module.
Double-click the include contained in the function module to enter the source code.
For step by step details you can refer to SAP note 418801.
