How to use ICC based colorspace

hello,
The question is how to define a color in ICC based colorspace ?
I tried with gState.strokeColorSpec.value.color array and it work fine when my CIE based colorspace is CMYK but how to do it when colorspace can be CMYKOG or RGB ... ?
Regards,
William

You can certainly use Cos to create the ICC colorspace (or the alternate) just as you did for the DeviceN.
Cos is just a wrapper over direct PDF objects – so read the PDF standard for what the objects you need are, then make the relevant calls.

  • How to use text based index

    Hi,
    I want to use a text based index. The problem statement was i have to delete all those records which have column
    'ABC%'
    means data can be ABC1, ABC2, ABCl, ABCn
    so i thought i would do like
    delete from tab1
    where col1 like 'ABC%'.
    There are millions of records.
    so i thought of optimizing the Query by using text based index. If my approach is right can you suggest how i can implement it and Is there any other way around?
    Thanks

    Are you saying that simple b tree index would be used in a qurey where i have used LIKE operator? Yes. Not "would" but certainly "could", as long as wildcard is trailing.
    Now whether it "would" depends on whether it's estimated to be the cheapest access path.

  • How to use JKS-based Keystore in Oracle SOA 11g

    I am trying to do FTPS on third party remote server(with UNIX OS) using SOA 11g FTP Adapter. I have Installed and Configured vsftpd and generated vsftpd.pem certificate file on remote server.
    Followed the steps mentioned in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/integration.1111/e10231/adptr_file.htm#CIABDGCF
    In one of the step "Setting Up the Oracle FTP Adapter" walletLocation is required, then I went through steps mentioned in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/core.1111/e10105/wallets.htm#CHDGIJDC
    Tried to use both 1) JKS Keystore Management 2) Wallet Management
    But unable to find both of them in em of Oracle SOA 11g as the steps are not matching.
    Can anyone tell me how to use JKS Keystore Management or Wallet Management ?
    Many Thanks!!
    Regards

    Hi Yogesh,
    I believe the wallet can be created from the FMW console only if the HTTP server is installed and available. If there is no Oracle HTTP server, please configure one as given under.

  • How to use ICC profiles and soft proofing profiles?

    Hi,
    I got an Epson Stylus Pro 3880 and Epson Hot Press paper which, upon investigation, received great profeesional reviews and, having never printed digitally before, I don't know how to use profiles for soft proofing or printing.
    I don't know where to go in Aperture or what to do. My driver is up to date and I downloaded the paper profile - not sure where it ended up. What's next?
    So far as I know, soft proofing is about calibrating the monitor to the paper - am I correct?
    Thanks guys,
    Raphael

    Raphael,
    A good reply is going to require a full-size keyboard, which I don't have access to just now.  Here are some starter pages:
    http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/soft-proofing.htm
    http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/soft-proofing.shtml (a bit grumpy and out-dated)
    Fwiw, I print to Epson Hot Press using a 3880.  Imho, it's a _great_ printer, and that combination of printer and paper produced state-of-the-art results.  (Not suitable in all cases, but if that is a look you like, the only thing that I've seen that surpasses it is the Epson 9900, and without looking at prints side by side you can not tell them apart.)
    Your profile ended up wherever you have told your browser to save downloaded files.  The Epson site should provide instructions on where to move the file.  Once it is in the right Finder folder, when you next Aperture it should show in your list of profiles.
    Keep in mind, though, that soft-proofing is useless without a well (read: hardware-calibrated) calibrated display.

  • How to use Edition Based Redefinition in APEX?

    Hello,
    This might be my first question on this forum ;-)
    I am trying to get 11gR2 Edition Based Redefinition to work within APEX. But for testing purposes (before altering the database to use the new edition as the default) I have to set the edition at the session level. But as APEX shares sessions from the pool (I might get another session with every page refresh/call), I need to execute an ALTER SESSION command.
    I can't use EXECUTE IMMEDIATE, 'cause that results in:
    execute immediate 'alter session set edition=HR_RELEASE2';
    ORA-38815 : ALTER SESSION SET EDITION must be a top-level SQL statement
    So is there a way to just run a SQL command at the "start" of a page (request)?

    - Changed the subject of this post (for an easier search on the forum)

    Hello all,
    Patrick and John were on the right track...
    After contacting Bryn (the Oracle brain behind EBR), there appeared to be a DAD attribute called 'database-edition'. Using this you can change the Edition of a DAD (and via the DAD ... all the users that use that DAD):
    begin
    dbms_epg.set_dad_attribute('APEX', 'database-edition', 'HR_RELEASE2');
    end;The funny thing is that a user doesn't have to re-connect. With the next server roundtrip he will use the other edition!
    Remarkable fact: This setting doesn't effect the Session-Edition, but only the Current-Edition. Have to test how that'll work out when using CrossEdition Triggers...
    Another thing: There seems to be an equivalent for the Apache /HTTP Server.
    You have to add a line to your dads.conf setting for PlsqlDatabaseEdition.
    If I add that line (in my environment) the HTTP Server fails to start with:
    /home/oracle/OraHome_1/Apache/Apache/bin/apachectl start: execing httpd
    Syntax error on line 48 of /home/oracle/OraHome_1/Apache/modplsql/conf/dads.conf:
    Invalid command 'PlsqlDatabaseEdition', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configurationApart from that: You have to restart the HTTP Server to use the changed DAD. So that is in opposite of the whole goal of EBR (24 x 7 availability).
    Once I figured it all out I'll write a blog post about it. If somebody has anything to add to this thread, feel free! Especially the HTTP Server/Edition combination would be interesting!
    Greetings,

  • How to use timestamp based dynamic message selector?

    Is it possible with message selector to issue query like statement that
    weill fetch any messages that have header timestamp older than "now" + 3 hrs.
    In SQL you would say something like:
    where timestamp <= sysdate + (180/1440)
    Please let ne know.
    Thank you,
    Edmon

    hi edmon,
    to my knowledge dynamically evalutaed expressions like this are not supported by any of the JMS vendors. messageselectors are in SQL92 format and the only dynamic part in them is the contents of the message properties and headers.
    So, you're out of luck with what you want to do (e.g., remove expired messages from a destination when they havent' been consumed within a time threshold??) but i could see two possible solutions:
    1) You could use time-to-live (TTL) on the sender side. Messages that are on the destination beyond their TTL would be placed onto a dead message queue (DMQ) from where you could consume them for further processing. DMQ is not a standard-JMS feature but supported by a few vendorrs (e.g., JBoss, ArjunaMS).
    2) You could use Message-driven Services (MDS) for more elaborate server-side message processing. MDS has been pioneered by ArjunaMS but is also available with a few other JMS vendors.
    Hope that helps!
    Kind regards,
    Thomas.

  • How can I video chat with someone who uses web based yahoo?

    Not long ago I purchased my first Mac (New MacBook Pro 2.53GHZ); last Summer I also purchased a MacBook Pro for my daughter. Everything works great (like driving a formula one Porsche after grappling with a battered pick-up truck (meaning Windows) for many decades; cannot imagine ever going back. But, there is one issue that I have not been able to solve and for which I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or advice. I am familiar with ichat and with AIM (my daughter uses it all the time). However, the vast majority of people with whom I communicate via IM live in parts of the world where very few people have even a computer at home much less residential internet access. As a result, near all of the folks I would be chatting with have to use public computers (internet cafes, libraries, etc) and obviously they cannot install AIM or anything else on those public computers. About 90% of them use the web based yahoo messenger which can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection (most of the rest use MSN). My question is this: I know how to do video chat in ichat but ichat does not support yahoo. How can I do video chat with someone who is using web based yahoo on a public computer that has a USB web cam? I was able to do this on my old PC which had a plug in web cam but do not know how it might work on a Mac. Should I install yahoo messenger on my MacBook Pro and will that work for me?. I know about some other Mac compatible chat clients such as Admiun but as far as I can tell none of them support video chat or in some cases yahoo. Perhaps I am overlooking something. I would be very grateful for any suggestions or advice in this matter. Thanks to anyone who reads this post and has any helpful info.

    Zurich,
    I don't think the web-based Yahoo Messenger supports video, so nothing you can do with that.
    http://messenger.yahoo.com/features/
    I think there are Mac compatible MSN clients that will do video, (i.e. aMSN) Also, Microsoft plans on releasing an updated version of Messenger for Mac soon.
    http://www.officeformac.com/blog/An-Update-on-Messenger-for-Mac
    GoogleTalk does have a browser based video chat, but your friends would need to install a browser plug-in. (which I would assume that can't do either)
    The best option is Skype, but also requires an install on their end (I would think that the internet cafes would/should have this available)
    Good Luck,
    Double_A

    Hello,
    Your filemaker install should have come with a jdbc driver (.jar file). You'll need to check your filemaker pro documentation to confirm. Once you have the file, place it in the ODI/oracledi/agent/drivers folder where your agent lives (also place it on your client if you want to use the local agent for testing). You can then create a custom Technology in the Topology tab in ODI.
    There are many options in the Technology definition which you will need to figure out based on what filemaker pro can handle and how it processes queries. Once the technology is created, add a Data Server and Physical Schema as you would any other technology. Then, build the model, datastores, interfaces, etc. just like any other tech.
    Hope this gets you started.
    Thank you,
    Michael R.

        content : url("/skins/AppSkin/Left_Close.gif");
    af|panelSplitter.panelSplitterLeftClass::horizontal-restore-icon {
        width: 10px;
        height: 55px ;
        content : url("/skins/AppSkin/Left_Open.gif");
    af|panelSplitter.panelSplitterLeftClass::horizontal-collapse-icon {
        width: 10px;
        height: 55px ;
        content : url("/skins/AppSkin/Left_Close.gif");
    af|panelSplitter.panelSplitterRighClass::horizontal-restore-icon {
        width: 10px;
        height: 55px ;
        content : url("/skins/AppSkin/Right_Open.gif");
    af|panelSplitter.panelSplitterRighClass::horizontal-collapse-icon {
        width: 10px;
        height: 55px ;
        content : url("/skins/AppSkin/Right_Close.gif");
    It is always showing Left_Open.gif and Left_Close.gif for both splitters. But I want different image.
    How to specify different horizontal restore & collapse icon for af|panelSplitter using Skinning based on Style class or position?

    CSS attribute selectors are what you are talking about, but binding the selector with EL is a more-common approach. Using selectors like this require you to ensure browser support.
    af|panelSplitter.panelSplitterRighClass::horizontal-collapse-icon [positionedFromEnd=true]

  • How to access Oracle Using Dos Based FoxPro(2.5,2.6)

    Hello Sir,
    I need some clarification regarding the following question.
    Q. How can access Oracle Database using Dos Based Foxpro of version either 2.5 or 2.6
    Thanking you,
    Kishore.P

    Hi Alex,
    the host and port depends on your network setup of your VM.
    Do an ifconfig -a and see what IP adress your guest has.
    With this IP address you should be able to access EM from outside your VM (but on the VM host, not from outside the network) with the same port.
    Regards
    Sebastian

  • How to read a variable within a VC code.  I am using BADI based VC code.

    How to read a variable within a VC code.  I am using BADI based VC code.
    Lets say I have a variable for a fiscal period that holds cumulative month.
    If user enters 03/2014 in that variable, it will have month starting from Jan till March.
    Within VC code I would like to read the last month which is
    03/2014 and based on this month I would like to do some calculation on all the records using the last month.
    Since VC code runs for one record at a time and there is no way I can store this value.
    Is there a way to go about it....any suggestions would be of great help.
    Thanks.
