    i know i can key sql statement in the "Query SQL Statement" in the jdbc send adapter.but i dont know how to use variables in the sql statement.
    i mean, for example, the sql statement is "SELECT * FROM t_student WHERE READFLAG = 0", but now i wanna instead of "0"(the value of the READFLAG) using a variable.
    and if i can use a variable to replace the "0"(the value of the READFLAG above sql statement), then how can i send a value to the variable??

    Hi,
    Use the place holders to pass the data at runtime. Check the below structure for more details.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • How to use the Oracle 10g JDBC OCI driver in JBoss ?

    Greetings,
    I deployed ojdbc14.jar in JBoss and I created an Oracle datasource. I have the following questions:
    1. In the datasource descriptor file I have:
    <connection-url>jdbc:oracle:oci:@(description=(address=(host=localhost)(protocol=tcp)(port=1521))(connect_data=(SERVICE_NAME=xe)))</connection-url>
    <driver-class>oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver</driver-class>
    Is it enough in order to use the Oracle 10g JDBC OCI driver ?
    2. After having looked-up the datasource and created a connection, the classe of these objects are org.jboss.resource.adapter.jdbc.WrapperDataSource and, respectivelly, org.jboss.resource.adapter.jdbc.WrappedConnection. How can I have access to oracle.jdbc.oci and oracle.jdbc.pool packages ?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Nicolas

    Hello
    We were banging our heads on a similar thing, maybe this will help
    We needed to convert the wrapped connection to an OracleConnection so that we could do a proxy switch, but maybe you could apply it to your situation anyway
    1-you have to convert the Connection object to an OracleConnection in order to use the method that does the proxy switch
    The method to do this is getInnermostDelegate()
    Once you call this method, you get a new Connection object that can be cast to an OracleConnection object
    See below for the snippet of code
    // now switch the user and reselect
    if (conn instanceof DelegatingConnection) {
    properties.put("PROXY_USER_NAME","peter/peter");
    oraConn =((DelegatingConnection)conn).getInnermostDelegate();
    if (oraConn == null)
    out.println("oraConn is null\n");
    ((OracleConnection)oraConn).openProxySession(OracleConnection.PROXYTYPE_USER_NAME,properties);
    2-you have to put a setting in the xml file in conf/Catalina/localhost that allows you to call the getInnermostDelegate() method
    By default, Tomcat does not allow you to call this method, it will always return null
    You have to change the xml to allow it to return an object
    It seems that WebSphere and Tomcat both frown on vendor-specific methods that do not comply with the JDBC standards, but do allow it
    Here is the setting:
    <parameter>
    <!-- NOTE: This is necessary to enable access to the Oracle connection object -->
    <name>accessToUnderlyingConnectionAllowed</name>
    <value>true</value>
    </parameter>
    Note, this setting was also put in the conf/server.xml file
    Thanks
    Peter

  • How to use Direct Access URL in the FORM tag

    I want to substitute the pageid url (/servlet/page?_pageid=161&_dad=portal30&_schema=PORTAL30) with the direct access urls (pls/portal30/url/page/my_page) to address the pageid conflict between development server and production server.
    It works perfectly fine in the redirection code such as:
    self.location.href="/pls/portal30/url/page/next_page". But I got "Page can not be found" error message when I use it in the <FORM> tag:
    <FORM ACTION="/pls/portal30/url/page/next_page" METHOD="POST" NAME="my_form">
    Does anyone out there know how to use the direct access url inside the <FORM> tag? I am trying not to write a bunch of code just to retrieve and insert the pageid at the run time.

    Use condition. If you are validating a record, just out the desired check in the condition field for that specific item.

  • JNI - how to use java access function in TypeLibrary( .tlb file) HELP ME PL

    Hey All
    I got one project which can be done by calling up functions in xxxx.tlb
    (window type library) file, that is no problem.
    How to use java to access those functions???
    I know there are some classes which can be used to access function in
    DLL file e.g. JAWIN.
    Is the .tlb file related to one DLL file??? if so, how to locate the
    DLL file through .tlb file???
    Thanks a lot.
    Steve

    Use JNI to create a link between Java class and a DLL, then you can load that DLL (or TLB) from that class.
    Read the JNI Tutorials.

    I have tried to use random access file stream to access the some files saved in disk, but not very successful. I want to know how I can find a particular file in the disk with file locator or sth else.
    Suggestion is highly welcomed, if you have codes to put, I will test it.

    The scenerao is:
    create a randomAccessfile
    write 100 blank records( for future use)
    open this file
    write data to the records inside file
    close the file.
    I will try to put a testing code for you later on.

  • How to use java+access connectivity without using ODBC

    Hello Sir/Madam,
    I just want to take a small help from u for using ms-access as backend to java without using the usiual jdbc:odbc bridge.
    i'll tell u the scenario which i'm facing now.
    i'm in need of sending my software(frame appl.) which uses access as backend to different agencies whom i dont even had contact. so i just dont know what is their status regarding computer knowledge, they might be data-entry-operators or of that type. so i just cant ask them to create an odbc or anything.
    so in this case is their any possibility to connect java with ms-access with out creating odbc in windows.
    please be kind to solve my problem.
    Thanking You,
    Ranjith.M

    You will need some kind of JDBC driver. And there are
    JDBC drivers available for Access that do not use
    ODBC, so you could use one of them.There are?

  • How to use the access groups with the E61

    I have configured a access group in the E61 to connect to the internet. But how do I tell the E61 to use this access-group instead of a access-point???

    Access Point groups seems to be Supported only in IMAP/POP Email where you can select those to be used as an AP.
    In Browser you can use those if you select Browser Access Point to "Always ask" mode -> They you can select the Group to be used as an AP.

  • WLS 10.3.4: How to use OS authentication for JDBC Data Source

    Hello all,
    As a preface, I've tried searching the forum/Google for "OS authentication" and reading the WLS JDBC doc to no avail - if it's documented somewhere, a RTFM link would be much appreciated.
    I'm trying to set up a JDBC data source on WLS that leverages the OS Authentication capability of the Oracle database. If it would help, I can go into the reasoning behind why I want to do this, but basically, it's to simplify the config/deployment of a COTS application. What I have in the database is an "identified externally" user that corresponds to the OS user that is running the WebLogic Server. Normally, in tools such as SQL*Plus, I would use "/@db" as the username/password (in other words, no username and no password specified), and I would be logged in as the "idenfitied externally" user. I want to configure the same thing for a WebLogic Data Source, but if I leave the username/password blank, testing the connection in the WLS console gives me "invalid username/password, login denied" I've also tried using "/" as the username, as was documented in a quite old WLS faq, but that gives me the same result.
    Is there some magic switch I need to flip?
    Thanks,
    John

    Hi John, there's no way to do that with connection pools, which is how WLS datasources get their
    connections, or middleware in general. WebLogic would have no way of knowing which if any of the
    pooled connections was appropriate for the current 'user', which is not the application user, but
    instead is the OS identity of the person who started the WebLogic server! If you start up your
    WebLogic server, and people start pointing their browsers to it, doing various stuff, the OS knows
    you started WebLogic, and maybe with the help of OCI, Oracle's JDBC might know it was you who
    started WebLogic's OS process, but what does the OS know about any user that may be running
    a browser or application elsewhere (even if on this same machine), when that browser or application
    connects to your WebLogic server process?
    HTH,
    Joe

  • About how to use WHERE condition in JDBC

    Hello,
    I met a problem when I wrote my jdbc program.
    ResultSet rs1 = stmt1.executeQuery("select Ncategory from ncategory, whsites where whsites.Name = 'Heard and McDonald Islands'and whsites.Id=ncategory.IdWhsites");
    ncategory and whsites are my two tables in my database. I try to select some data that conform to the WHERE conditions. Actually I want to input the name of
    of whsites.Name, I defined
    String sitename = "";
    BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
              System.out.println("Please input the site name:");
              siteName = in.readLine();
    Then I changed the above ResultSet sentence,
    ResultSet rs1 = stmt1.executeQuery("select Ncategory from ncategory, whsites where whsites.Name = siteName and whsites.Id=ncategory.IdWhsites");
    The program can be compiled. But I found the Resultset sentence has not been executed. How can I modify the executeQuery and make it work?

    Hi,
    Try using a prepared statement as shown below
    PreparedStatement ps = connection.prepareStatement( "select Ncategory from ncategory, whsites where whsites.Name = ? and whsites.Id=ncategory.IdWhsites");
    // Bind the airline code to the query
    ps.setString(1,siteName );
    result = ps.executeQuery();
    Alternatively you could try the following too :
    ResultSet rs1 = stmt1.executeQuery("select Ncategory from ncategory, whsites where whsites.Name = '"+siteName+"' and whsites.Id=ncategory.IdWhsites");
