How to use my warranty without purchase receipt?

Hi, I know this was a really dumb thing to let happen, but I don't have my purchase receipt for my 17" MBP. Nothing bad's happened to it yet, but I've read that I can't use my warranty without it.
I've registered the laptop with Apple, and checking the serial number with Apple Support says the warranty is valid till April. But... is there any way I can make use of it without the purchase receipt? Do I -have- to buy AppleCare? Is there anything I can do?
I'm just concerned that if anything bad happens to the laptop, I won't be able to make use of the warranty, and that'd be really annoying.
Thanks in advance.

Yiou should have received an email confirmation from Apple when you purchased the Mac.
The one year limited warranty is in effect from date of purchase. Since you registered the Mac with Apple, you shouldn't have a problem.
Do I -have- to buy AppleCare?
Not unless you want to extend the warranty.
Check your banking / credit card statements.

  • How to Use Repair Warranty without Receipt

My screen was shattered when a stranger on a bike bumped into me, and I dont have the money to repair it, though it was given to me as a gift in November. If I don't have a receipt can I still utilize the 1-year free warranty?

The broken screen would not be covered by warranty.

I downloaded Elements 11 to my laptop about 3 years ago and now purchased a new computer and need to install it.  How do I install Elements without purchasing it again?

I have Elements pulled up on my old computer, can I find it in the program?
No but if your old computer runs Windows then you can use the free Belarc Advisor software to extract the serial number from inside the computer.
Belarc Advisor - Free Personal PC Audit, for software, hardware and security configuration information on your computer.…
Tip for future reference: when buying software, always keep your serial numbers safe and handy. Don't rely on websites, the Cloud or anyone else to retrieve them for you when you need them most. They are the single most important thing you get when you buy software and they are unique to you personally.
You can download software installers from the web any time but, without your unique serial number, you'll be stuck with using the software in trial mode.

You should have received emailed receipts for each item that you bought from the store. If you haven't got them then all that you can do is take screenshots of your purchase history.

You'll need to have access to some sort of database account to use the tool. If you just loaded the tool onto a machine, Disco is not going to be useful - you need to create an end user layer, and business areas.

I have purchased and downloaded an album, but some of the songs did not download correctly as the songs are not complete.  How do I redownload them without purchasing the album again.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the track and try redownloading fresh copies.
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

  • How to use LR6 standalone without signing into cc?

GD this company will not give standalone customers peace and quiet. Shove the creative cloud down our throats whether we want it or not.
I cannot launch LR6 without being signed into cc. I paid for the stand alone edition. Does anyone know the magic mojo to get the dam thing right?

I ended here for a slightly different reason (the actual installation - for anyone interested - see below)
Since I'm here, I can try to give your question, as I understand it, my best shot:
    - To check if your serial number "sticks", i.e. is not in trial or subscription mode: Go to the Help menu - System Info...
then if the 2nd line in the window that opens reads: "License: Perpetual", that's all you can do, re-installing won't make a difference.
    - In that case, getting that annoying Adobe ID Sign-In message anyway (even if, like me, you don't want to do anything online, sync or otherwise):
there isn't much else to do but close the window without signing in and confirm to quit - Yes... every bleepin' time you launch LR6
I have not found a Preference to disable that check, even under the Lightroom mobile tab (which at least, like the Help menu, confirms you're not signed in). Maybe in a future update they'll have an option to disable that check on startup, at least after the first time (but not yet in 6.0.1, the latest one so far)
Otherwise either cave in and make at least a dummy Adobe ID, or the only other solution: Go back to LR5, unless you need the new functions...
It's still installed separately on my machine, and I have a pre-LR6 backup of my catalogs,  so I'll play around with it for a couple of days before deciding. It's certainly my last Adobe product.
Now the reason I ended up here: The INSTALLER actually FORCES you to sign in with Adobe ID even with a VALID SERIAL, which is just plain bovine stuff, and the utterly unhelpful Adobe Chat employee didn't answer my question, pointed me towards Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Help | Serialize Lightroom CC trial to activate as Lightroom 6 (which still expects you to log in, no matter what you try later) and disconnected. Grrrr.
    Here's the work-around for that:
    - DISCONNECT your network connection temporarily (Turn off WiFi, unplug the ethernet cable...)
    - Launch the installer, click on the "I have purchased" half => it will complain there's no internet connection
    - But a "Connect Later" button appears => click on it => get the old serial# screen, enter serial (& if necessary re-connect, then enter prior serial to upgrade )
    - Next screen, Accept Terms, then next screen choose your install options and there you go.
    - You will of course have to get back online to validate the serial within a few days, like before, but at least you skipped the whole Adobe ID Sign-In nonsense, and not deal with the creepy "Starting with this version... share your information with Adobe how you use Lightroom... is turned on by default..."

  • Who is using SRM Invoice without Purchase Order?

    Hello,
I want to implement SRM Invoice without Purchase Order as a method for our employees to enter their own non-purchase order invoices into SRM instead of having Accounts Payable enter them into R/3.  The invoices would then go through financial approval workflow before posting in R/3 and being eligible for the next appropriate cheque run.
This will be a change to our corporate policy and I would like to connect with other companies who are allowing employees to enter their own invoices to find out whatever information or suggestions they can pass along to me.
    Few facts:
We are running SRM 5.0 Classic with R/3 ERP 2005.
The invoices are for $3,000 or less.
We have Head Office plus many remote locations.
We would still send the invoices to Accounts Payable for retention.
    Thank you,
    Corinne Taylor

    Hi Taylor,
We can enter the Invoice with out purchase Order also. But you need Invoice management system in SRM.
The Below document may help you and guide you further how to achieve.
    Technical Description and Configuration Information
    Purpose
The Business Package for Invoicing Clerk provides the possibility to use the Invoice Management System in the Portal. The Invoice Management System (IMS) allows you to process incoming invoices
(with and without purchase order) on the basis of exceptions.
    Prerequisites

  • How to use migration assistant without creating dual user accounts

I want to use migration assistant to transfer apps, software & files on my macbook pro to my new macbook air. How can I do this without creating two user accounts for myself on the m-book air -- my account from the m-book pro & the one that the air makes me create as soon as I do start-up? Can I just use the same name & password for both? or will that make things go badly awry?
    Thanks!

If you have not booted the MBA for the first time and gone through the Setup Assistant, then I would use the Setup Assistant to make the transfer before you even create another user account. However, if you've already created the new user account on the MBA, then create a new admine one with a different username than the account you will migrate. Log into this new account, delete the first account you made, then use Migration Assistant to transfer your account from the MBP.

  • How to use master warranty in case of excess production

    Dear Gurrus !!!
My client company is involved in Electronics products (Refrigerator, TV, Oven, AC etc) manufacturing and sale business. There are hundreds of units produced and sold on daily basis. now i have to make warranty check here in CS module. My requirement is:
When we create Service notification type S9 with IW51 we enter Serial number on create screen. Serial number is linked with equipment, batch and material master. Requirement is when we enter serial number system should tell the warranty status in pop up screen. Warranty of Refrigerator and Compressor are different. Ref 1 year Compr. 3 Years. I have done every thing in system but now im facing two problems only.
1    I used user exit BG000001 and check standard tick for pop up too. A pop up screen appears but there is no warranty
detail on that screen but when i check Additional data tab of serial number it shows compressor and ref warranty
          accurately.
2    It is not possible for users to enter master warranty and warranty start date in every serial number because there is
          hundreds/thousands of units produced daily.
Please give me any idea that how can i take date of sale (601 movement date) as warranty start date and how to enter master warranty in serial numbers automatically. i want to perform these activities automatically.
I am stuck here in warranty check. Please help me in this regard.
Pop up is not a big deal but my major concern is to enter automatically start date and master warranty.

    Hi,
I hope you are creating Equipment automatically while doing delivery for the Material with the combination of Material number & Serial Number.
If that is the case, have you tried with the update of equipment warranty data after creation of equipment?
    Try this Function module:
    'WARRANTY_ASSIGNMENT_RFC'
    [Update warranty details|FM or BAPI to update Master warranty and Begin guarantee;
    2nd Option:
In Serial Data view of Equipment Master, you can find the Date of Last Goods Movement, that would be the delivery date of that equipment.
Create a Ztransaction to update the warranty details of the equipment. That could be manual or automatic batch job running on daily basis.
Develop a program to call this Function module & try to update that date as Warranty start date.
Decide on Warranty end date based on your company warranty policy & incorporate the same in coding.
Even you can consider the equipments which are created on that particular day based on the field Creation Date.
So other equipments will not get affected.
    Regards,
    Maheswaran.

  • HT1918 how to use debit card for purchase in itunes store?

i want to use debit card to purchase in itunes store and App store. How to change my account information using debit card?

Debit cards are no longer accepted in the iTunes Store, it seems. The current valid payment methods are listed here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5552
Using a debit card in any online service where it stores your card is a bad idea in any case since if someone gains access to your account in the service, they can quickly drain your bank account. Credit cards limit your liability, as do prepaid iTunes cards.
    Regards.
