How to use pub.sap.client:lockSession?

I am calling a bapi that creates an order. I found that in order to commit, I must first issue a lockSession call, followed by BAPI, then commit and then releaseSession.
Where can I find more documentation on pub.sap.client:lockSession?

How to use remote desktop client in mountain lion.
I want to connect my other system(ubuntu) using mac remote desktop client, But i could not locate remote desktop client in moutain lion.

In Ubuntu 12.xx use Dash to find "Desktop Sharing" and set the preferences, including requiring a password.
Then in Ubu use System Settings > Network to determine your Ubu machine's IP address, such as 192.168.1.13.
On the Mountain Lion Mac do Finder > Go > Connect to Server and enter: vnc://192.168.1.13 or whatever your IP is. Enter the password that you used in the Ubu Desktop Sharing setup, when asked.
On the Ubu machine answer the question that pops up asking for permission to connect. Your Ubu screen will now show up on the Mac, and you can remote control it. Here I am running "Octave" (a math program) on the Ubu machine, remotely.
Works great! BTW, you can do this from an iPad too, using a VNC client such as Mocha VNC Lite. You can even run both remotes simultaneously.

Hi Experts,
I my job for every record in the input data set I need to check for the value of the data set column in the SAP table.
I am using a validation transform and am using the "Exists in Table" option, where I am specifying the column in the SAP table to look up.
It is giving me an error BODI-1112468 saying that SAP table cannot be used in Validation Look up.
Please suggest any other way to resolve it.

Assigned a data provider, inserted a table.
In order to view i include a Analaysis box in one of the cell of Table.
Now i need to change the colours of result rows.
How to use Standard Stylesheets provided by SAP.
Where this stylesheets will be located
Under which properties.
How to use those.
How to edit those and save as we wanted.
An y step by step documents, please send it to [email protected]
I want to include Information button in Template, so when executing if user click this button he/she should know,
What are provided variables and if they chosen some specific variable restriction to see the result,
Also by default this information should get print.
In standard sap portal, this button is located on upper right corner.

Thats exactly right,
I included a naviagtion block and it worked well
But while printing the query on Web template, It only prints the data that is coming in Analysis block.
Similarly while running the query thru BEX to Portal,
Navigation block is on left, but while printing it prints exactly every data in Information tab.
Information is the button located on upper right corner.
If you click, it will give you information such as , which restrictions u did, which extra filters you added everything.
And while printing it prints this information too.
I want to do the same designing for my custom Web template.
How can i do that.
I already added navigation block, so it will be easy for users to drag and drop Chars and KFs in rows and columns as well as filter if they needed.
I hope you are trying to understand.
Also for using stylesheets can you suggest.
So that i can make changes to row and columns.
I am unable to locate stylesheet in any of the properties.

Business Planning and Simulation is a part of Strategic Enterprise Management. Business planning enables to produce a group-wide business plan. The business data plan adds an overall plan to the detailed plans that have been put together using the transaction systems components.
Business Planning and Simulation is a product from SAP that uses BW functionality to provide an integrated environment for all our business planning including budgeting and forecasting. Moreover , it is seamlessly linked into the reporting functionality that BW offers, giving a place to report Plan vs. Actuals. BPS allows us to instantly see the effects of change in the plan in a controlled way.
BPS started life as SEM-BPS, but as of BW version 3.5 , it is not included with BW as BW-BPS. All development of BPS functionality will continue within BW including the evolution of BI-IP(Integrated Planning)
Difference between Basic Info cube and Transactional Info cube :
Basic Infocube :
            - Basic info cube is a type of info cube that physically stores data. It is filled with data using BW staging, later it can be used in BEx reporting.
             - Basic info cubes are used for actual data.
Transactional Infocube:
                       - With a transactional Infocube, you can directly load data to it, without going through the usual transfer rules, update rules .eg. a transactional Infocube can be used to store plan data which is manually entered by the users in the planning layouts (in BPS). When the users save the data, it gets loaded to the cube directly.
            - Planning can only be carried out on Basic transactional info cube.

Regarding which data you want to export, you have to select the corresponding profiles in SCC8:
If you want to export transaction data & master data (this is together known as application data), then you have to select the appropriate profile. Alongwith application data, customizing data would also be there, because it cant be transferred alone. ALso, you can choose whether to export user data or not.
But please note that repository data (programs etc) would not be part of this export.
The transaction is SCC8 for client export.
For importing you can import like any other transport request.

How to use a fixed client localPort in an RMI communication?

Hi,
I am trying to use a fixed localPort in RMI communication using CustomSocketFactories. When I use a fixed localPort the client program runs fine with a right lookup and correct stub method invocation for first time, but when I run the same program immediately I am getting an exception "java.net.SocketException: errno: 125, error: Address already in use for fd: 9".
I also tried to close the socket of ClientRemoteFactory in my client program in a finally block, still I am getting the same exception. If I run the same program after a few minutes it runs fine.
Bottomline is -- "it is clear that if I use a fixed localPort in my customClientFactory, it will be in use for sometime even after I am done with the stub method".
Is there anyway or a work around to clean the socket after it's use. I can not use an anonymous client port for security reasons, I must have to use a fixed localPort. If anyone has any other ideas or approach, please share with me. Any help is highly appreciated as this is very urgent.

I'm not sure that you really want to do this unless you are trying to resolve some firewall issue which might be better resolved another way. For a start this technique will limit you to one RMI call per host at any one time.
However, the API you are looking for is java.net.Socket.setReuseAddress(true), which was introduced in JDK 1.4. You have to do this before the socket is connected, i.e.:
Socket s = new Socket();
s.setReuseAddress(true);
s.bind(new InetSocketAddress(localPort));
s.connect(new InetSocketAddress(remoteHost,remotePort));

So, is that any possibility to generate the report without crystal report server? i heared something we can generate the report through by using crystal report client...is that possible?

I did that and i set up a trace file withing the sql.net and i reviewed the file and everything is looking fine for me, there is no error at all.
i can see his session created when he build new connection and run any query, but if he modified that query, the connection is dropped, still dont get it.
he used to use before VPN but now he has direct connection.
i also put this parameter in his tnsname.ora file (RECV_BUF_SIZE=11784)
there is only one thing strange, when i try to use sqlplus /nolog, i couldnt run the sqlplus, or tnsping and it keeps telling me any orginized program or something like that, i asked him to install the oracle client again, because looks like some libraries not working fine, however he complian the crystal report works fine, so oracle client must work ok, i explained to him it is totally different thing, but he refused to confess.
so i dont know what else i should do,

Buk now, I want to use different client SSL keys for the same app to consume the web service (one SSL client key for a group of users).
Is it possible ?
i've tried using custom SSLSocketFactory and custom KeyManager but it won't works: when the SSL connection is well established once, i can connect to the app with an invalide client cert ! (it seems SSL connection is in cache and i dont't know how to disable this cache).

How to use the SAP calendar in Workflow deadline time.

Im setting a deadline time (LatestEnd, LatestStart) as an expression for some tasks in several workflows, but theres an issue when this time is reached on holiday or weekend because the deadline for the Workflow have to be moved to the next working day, does anybody knows how can I set it up without ABAP programming, just workflow tools or WF functions?.
I already made a function to make this calculation but I'd like to know if this can be done directly by SAP (workflow) standard.

But I want to get the sequence value in client web proxy generated through WSDL.
There I write the same code and imported the files.
But it is giving me error that:
