Invalid Form error

Dear Experts,
I have created one matrix and one button in Purchase Order form. when i click on that button one form(frmopr) will be loaded. that form contains one matrix with data and one button.
now i select one or more line in the matrix and click the button. the selected line value should be displayed in user matrix in PO form. i am using following code
If pVal.FormUID = "frmopr" Then
                If pVal.ItemUID = "chs" And pVal.EventType = SAPbouiCOM.BoEventTypes.et_ITEM_PRESSED And pVal.Before_Action = True Then
                    oForm = SBO_Application.Forms.Item("frmopr")
                    oMatrix = oForm.Items.Item("matrix").Specific
                    j = 1
                    For i = 1 To oMatrix.RowCount
                        If oMatrix.IsRowSelected(i) = True Then
                            oEdit = oMatrix.Columns.Item("series").Cells.Item(i).Specific
                            rema(j) = oEdit.Value
                            oEdit = oMatrix.Columns.Item("docNo").Cells.Item(i).Specific
                            dn(j) = oEdit.Value
                            'SBO_Application.MessageBox(rema(j))
                            j = j + 1
                        End If
                    Next
                    oForm.Close()
                    POForm = SBO_Application.Forms.Item("142") '<- error Line <<
                    oMatrix = POForm.Items.Item("38").Specific
                    For k = 1 To j - 1
                        POForm.DataSources.DataTables.Add("MyDataTable")
                        POForm.DataSources.DataTables.Item("MyDataTable").ExecuteQuery("Select U_itemcode, U_Qty from [@PRR1] where U_series=" & rema(k) & "and U_DocNo=" & dn(k))
                        POForm.Items.Item("Umatrix").Specific.Columns.item("1").DataBind.Bind("MyDataTable", "U_itmcode")
                        POForm.Items.Item("Umatrix").Specific.Columns.item("11").DataBind.Bind("MyDataTable", "U_itmQty")
End If
End If
its throwing error message " Invalid Form" in above mentioned line

Hi Mathi,
System forms do not have a static formuid.142 is the form.typeex of Purchase Order form.Formuid changes on every opening of the form like F_42 and so on.So its better to pass this formuid when you are referring to the form like
    Select Case pVal.FormTypeEx
Case "142"
your code for itemevent
End Select
And in your user form you need to get this formuid
so that your code looks like
poform=Sbo_Application.Forms.Item(formid)
where this formid is passsed as a parameter.

  • "Invalid Cursor" Error in Form

    Hi,
    I wrote a procedure that take a REF CURSOR as an IN OUT argument. This procedure does an "OPEN cursor FOR qry" with a dynamic query:
    OPEN l_cursor FOR
           'SELECT A '||
             'FROM B '||
            'WHERE C = :l_var'
         USING myVar;After calling the procedure, I do a LOOP with FETCH.
    It works well when I use it in SQL*Plus with DBMS_OUTPUT but it returns a "ORA-01001 invalid cursor" error in Forms.
    Any help is welcome!

  • Item Validation on a Form - Receives ORA-0094: Invalid Idenitier error

    I'm fairly new to APEX and having an issue with an Item Validation on a Form receiving the ORA-0094: <Column Name>: Invalid Identifier error. I have looked at postings in this form on this error and tried many of the suggestions. I still can not get it to work. My lack of experience with APEX is not helping either.
    I'm using APEX release 2.2 with IE6.
    I'm trying to create a new Invoice in the Invoice table (CTS_INVOICE). The RFA Number for this invoice must be an active RFA record in the RFA table (CTS_RFA). Before I add the check for the RFA active status, I wanted to get the code that checks for the existence of the RFA record working first.
    After filling in the fields on the forms, click the Create button, and receives an error page with the following error ORA-0094: "RFA_NUMBER": Invalid Identifier.
    I have checked to make sure the table name, column name, and item name were correct with spelling and capitalization.
    Used the Wizard to setup the Item Validation.
    Type: EXISTS
    Validation Expression 1: Select 1 from CTS_RFA where RFA_Number = :P25_RFA_NUMBER
    Error message: Enter an active RFA number.
    location: Inline with Field and in Notification
    Associated Item: P25_RFA_NUMBER
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Vivian

    Vivian - Might the column have been created as a quoted identifier with mixed upper/lower case characters?
    Run this in SQL*Plus:
    select count(rfa_number) from cts_rfa;
    If that works without error then this is not the problem.

  • Invalid number error with Form on table page

    We used the "Form on Table..." wizard to create a simple page to update the SCOTT.EMP table. When we submit the page we get the ORA-01722: invalid number error. When I view the data in the WWV_FLOW_DATA view in the FLOWS_010500 schema, I can see all the data from our form in long format with the actual values that were submitted. But I can not track down where this error is coming from.

    James,
    What data did you enter in each field? Could it be as simple as you tried to enter character data into the deptno column?

  • WHAT IS THE FIX TO THIS ERROR:  XML Parsing error: not well-formed (invalid token) (error code 4)

    Hello, looking to see if there's anyone out there who knows how to resolve this error from popping up when I open a previously saved adobe file with data populated inside (tax form).
    The error states:
    XML Parsing error: not well-formed (invalid token) (error code 4), line 16028, column 2 of file.
    So when I go to open this file, THAT ERROR appears.  But then allows me to view the content inside the PDF (tax form) - however it will not allow further editing - this is an issue.
    This began after working and populating certain files, then transferring to a hosting site.  Now when I open any PDF file from the hosting site, the error appears.  Could just be coincidental however throwing that out there in case it's useful.
    What causes this error & what is the fix?
    Cheers!

    Unfortunately No.  This was a tax form downloaded from IRS.gov.  The PDF file has been populated and saved off.  I believe the file has somehow become corrupt.  Curious how to cleanse the file so it opens without issue (that error message).
    Thanks for your response

  • XML Parsing error: not well-formed (invalid token) (error code 4) --- Urgent Help Needed!

    Hi all, what im doing now is im trying to create a database connection my my MS SQL 2005 database. I created a data source and went to my Adobe Lifecycle Designer 7.1, i created a new data connection, selected OLEDB and created the connection string using the build function.
    Ok, now the problem is, after creating the new data connection and i click on the preview tab, i will receive the error stated above.
    'XML Parsing error: not well-formed (invalid token) (error code 4), line 444, column 1 of file'
    Does anyone know why am i receiving this error and how do i go about solving this?
    I need this database connection to pre-fill my form when the user downloads the form =(

    I have a vital form that clients fill out, which is passed to many people in the company along the workflow. The form is a Planner and we have in the following PDF, Word Doc..
    Well before, the Planner.pdf was originally created in Word, since most people have access to Word.. but evolved to a PDF form created from the Word Doc via Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0 w/ User Rights enabled so that the form could be filled out and saved using Adobe Reader.. which was a step better than Word.. being that it is free. But this needed to be easier and more to the point b/c some clients don't particularly like installing the latest version of Reader, even if you provide them the link. Nor do they like saving the form, filling the form, and attaching the form to send back.
    My goal is to have the client fill an HTML version of the form, submit and be done with it, but everyone in the workflow be able to easily receive the filled Planner as a PDF form.
    So some months ago I ran into this post Chris Trip, "Populate Livecycle PDF from mySQL database using PHP" #8, 22 Sep 2007 4:37 pm
    which uses the command line Win32 pdftk.exe to merge an FDF file into an existing PDF on the remote server, and serve this to whoever.
    My problem was with shared hosting and having the ability to use the Win32 pdftk.exe along with PHP which is predominantly used on Linux boxes. And we used a Linux box.
    so i created the following unorthodox method, which a client fills the HTML version of the Planner, all field values are INSERTED into a table in MySQL DB, I and all filled planners that have been filled by clients to date can be viewed from a repository page where an XML file is served up of the corresponding client, but someone would have to have Acrobat Professional, to import the form data from the XML file into a blank form.. altoughh this is simple for me.. I have the PHP file already created so that when a Planner is filled and client submits. >> the an email is sent to me with a table row from the repository of the client name, #, email, and a link to d-load the XML file,
    But I also have the PHP files created so that the Planner can be sent to by email to various people in the workflow with certain fileds ommitted they they do not need to see, but instead of the XML file beiong served up i need the filled PDF Planner to be served.
    I can do this locally with ease on a testing server, but I am currently trying to use another host that uses cross-platform compatibility so i can use PHP and the pdftk.exe to achieve this, as that is why I am having to serve up an XML file b/c we use a Linux server for our website, and cant execute the exe.
    Now that I am testing the other server (cross-platform host), just to use them to do the PDF handling (and it's only $5 per month) I am having problems with getting READ, WRITE, EXECUTE permissions..
    Si guess a good question to ask is can PHP do the same procedure as the pdftk.exe, and i can eleminate it.
    or how in the heck can i get this data from the DB into a blank PDF form, like i have described??

  • Another ORA-01722: invalid number Error

    Hello All,
    I have 2 Validations on 1 Item, Not Null and Not Exists, very standard.
    select fk_session_name_id

    where fk_session_name_id = :p9_fk_session_name_id
      and fk_class_id = :p9_fk_class_id;My Item needs to be a Select List that returns the ID of FK_SESSION_NAME_ID.
    select distinct SESSION_NAME display_value, PK_SESSION_NAME_ID return_value
    from HRT_SESSION_NAME
    order by 1My Form Page throws the ORA-01722 in invalid number Error only when I make the Item a Select List. If Item is a
    Text Field and ID value entered and Create is clicked the data is saved but not when its a Select List. I have read alot
    of threads that talk about converting this Item to_number but I have not been successful in doing this. Once the Item is
    a Select List the Not Exists validation works but the Not Null Validation populates the Error Message. Can anyone
    assist me with this please? Thanks
    My Data Type is INTEGER for FK_SESSION_NAME_ID and SESSION_NAME is VARCHAR2.

    Hey Jari,
    The PK_SESSION_NAME_ID in the select statement is the value that is going to be returned. FK_SESSION_NAME_ID is the Foreign Key value that will get the value from the Primary Key PK_SESSION_NAME_ID.
    Yes, I do have an account that you can log into, thanks for assistance Jari.
    Once you log in Select link 'Hrt_Class' which will populate Page 2. Region 'Cascading LOVs has 4 Items. Class Meridiem, Class Name, Class End Date and Class Location. Select these values then click 'Search'. Once the values are populated click the red button at the bottom 'Add Session Info'. This will populate Page 9 which will allow you to test the Create button. You should not be able to add any Session Name that exists in the Report below and you should not be able to Create a Null FK_SESSION_NAME_ID. Let me know if this is clear, thanks again.
    The PK_SESSION_ID cannot be Null so just start with values 60116 on up to avoid that error message. I do not have any sequences or triggers created since this is just a testing app.

  • ORA-01722 Invalid Number Error - report parameter

    I have a report which runs successfully using the following simple select statement: -
    select u.user_id, u.user_forename||' '||u.user_surname user_name,
    fo.flight_number_in, fo.sta, fo.ata, fo.flight_number_out, fo.std, fo.atd
    from users u, flight_operations_employees foe, flight_operations fo
    where NVL(fo.sta, fo.std) between :P_Start and :P_End and
    fo.record_number = foe.record_number and
    u.user_id = foe.user_id
    order by u.user_surname
    Where P_Start and P_End are parameters passed from a form. I want to add further user option selections for the report and have added another parameter (P_inClause) where the user can select one or more items to select from. The column selected is a number on the table. I then want to pass this as another parameter into the report listing a number of valid values using the IN statement. The updated select statement is: -
    select u.user_id, u.user_forename||' '||u.user_surname user_name,
    fo.flight_number_in, fo.sta, fo.ata, fo.flight_number_out, fo.std, fo.atd
    from users u, flight_operations_employees foe, flight_operations fo
    where NVL(fo.sta, fo.std) between :P_Start and :P_End and
    fo.record_number = foe.record_number and
    u.user_id = foe.user_id and
    u.user_id IN :P_inClauseorder by u.user_surname
    u.user_id is a number column in the table. The value of P_inClause is set as a character parameter in the report and has the value (45,5,13,26) - as an example.
    When I try running the report interactively it comes up with the ORA-01722 : Invalid Number error and points to the P_inClause parameter. If I type in the value directly into the select statement it works fine.
    Do you have any ideas as to how I can make this work?

    Guys,
    This has been fixed.the issue was caused because of exceeded limit of log file.

  • Invalid Argument Error

    I am getting above error on load of the JNLP file. When I access the URL for the JNLP, the JNLP file downloads (I can see the content using Ethereal) and WebStart does launch. So, I assume MIME type is OK and the download servlet is working, at least enough to serve up the JNLP.
    What makes this more curious is that it is a working configuration in Jetty. I can take the exact same application - drop it in Jetty, it works; drop the SAME file in Tomcat 4.1.27, it doesn't work.
    Anyone seen this?
    WS 1.2
    J2SDK 1.4.1_01 on both ends.
    Tomcat 4.1.27
    The error and log information is as follows.
    Error dialog/General Tab:
    An error occurred while launching/running the application.
    Category: Invalid Argument error
    Could not load file/URL specified: C:\Documents and Settings\mjf860\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\2DQR21KT\cwms[1].jnlp
    The JNLP file does in fact NOT exist (the directory does, no JNLP files are in in it), despite the fact that I saw it go over the network to my box.
    The JNLPServetLog stuff:

    I just found out by searching tomcat list that in your
    dynamic jnlp file you can set the cache-control to
    public using
    response.setHeader("Cache-Control", "public")
    This will allow Internet Explorer to cache the jnlp
    file and you won't get the exception.
    This way you can keep your jnlp file under a security
    constraint.I wasn't sure what was meant by "dynamic JNLP" or how to follow the above procedure, so I created a servlet (a JSP, actually) to implement the above workaround. It will serve JNLP files from a password-protected directory in a way that works for the Tomcat-to-Internet Explorer combination. It's posted below in case it can help anyone else.
    There are still a few things to watch out for: (1) the protection (the <auth-method> tag in your web.xml file) for the JNLP file must be BASIC--FORM will not work. (2) you will have to enter the password twice--once for the browse and again for Web Start.
    The servlet itself is enclosed below. If you have questions about it, please post them to this forum.

  • Strange invalid month error.

    Hi all,
    I have a function which receives a date and then returns a text string saying what day of the week it is, ie Monday Tuesday etc etc
    For example sakes I'll say the function is called dayoftheweek and we use the function like 'select somedate, dayoftheweek(somedate) from dual'
    Now, the bit within the function that works out the day is as below
    SELECT TO_CHAR(TO_DATE(p_date, 'DD/MM/RRRR') ,'DAY') from dual (p_date is the internal function variable for the date passed in.)
    Now, if I do this
    select dayoftheweek('25-MAY-09') from dual -- this works.
    But...
    select dayoftheweek('25/05/09') from dual -- this does not work, I get an ora 01843 invalid month error.
    So, I assumed it was something to do with the logic that worked out the day of the week.
    However, the below works.
    SELECT TO_CHAR(TO_DATE('25/05/09', 'DD/MM/RRRR') ,'DAY') from dual
    Does anyone know why when passing a date to the function in format 'select dayoftheweek('25/05/09') from dual' does not work but if I use this format within the function logic as above it does work?
    Cheers,
    rg

    Hello,
    Oracle does not know your date format:
    select dayoftheweek('25/05/09')I.e, it does not know that the date you are passing in is in the form of 'DD/MM/MM'. You must tell it (since it isn't your default format):
    select dayoftheweek(to_date('25/05/09', 'DD/MM/YY'))If all you wanted, however, was the day of the week from a date, then:
    TO_CHAR(to_date('25/05/09', 'DD/MM/YY'), 'DAY')Will give you that.
    And by the way, this:
    SELECT TO_CHAR(TO_DATE('25/05/09', 'DD/MM/RRRR') ,'DAY') from dualIs correct by chance, even though you're getting no error you may get the wrong result, because you're telling oracle you're passing in 4 digits for the year, yet you're only passing in two.
    Edit Beware:
    SQL> SELECT TO_CHAR(TO_DATE('25/05/09', 'DD/MM/RRRR'), 'YYYY') from dual;
    TO_C
    2009
    SQL> SELECT TO_CHAR(TO_DATE('25/05/09', 'DD/MM/YYYY'), 'YYYY') from dual;
    TO_C
    0009
