How to use stylesheet from web-template in portal

Hello all,
I want to integrate a web application consisting of several web-templates (BW 3.5) into a portal (EP 6.0) via iviews.
When called from the portal the web-templates stylesheets are replaced by portal stylesheets.
How do I force the portal to use the web-templates stylesheets.

You can define the styles you want in a *.css file then put a link in your jsp to use these styles. You can also just put the styles directly in your jsp. Either should work

Are you using 3.5 or Netweaver?
You could do it in the old version (3.5), but in Netweaver you need to change the portal theme through portal administration - even if you point to a custom CSS through your template, the portal theme will overwrite it

How to use master master web templates?

Hi,
I have around 20 reporst in BW to be displayed on web. Hence I have created Web Template for each of them. Format and Layout of these web templates is exactly same. The problem is, if there is any change to layout or if any new funtionality needs to be added/removed from toolbar, I need to repeat same for all 20 web templates.
Is there anything where I can create one master web template and give reference of this template to all new templates I will create. And if I change master web template, automatically it will reflect all referencing web templates.
Can this be achieved? Please let me know.

Hi Abhijit,
One way to work this is to use the embedded templates. For example put your toolbar in a template, then embed this template (TB_WT001) into each new one that you have created. Then if you change TB_WT001, the change will be reflected wherever it is embedded.

Web items and HTML elements (for example, tables, texts, and images) that you insert into a Web template, as well as the Web template itself, have a context menu. This context menu has context-sensitive menu entries that you can use to call various Web Application Designer functions. You can, for example, use the context menu to save a Web item (for which you have specified properties by using the parameters) as a reusable Web item, call the properties dialog box for this Web item, copy the Web item and paste it into another Web template, or delete the Web item from the Web template.

Eg: If i have using hierarchical object in my WEB template and i want know which node(level) i have selected, how i can achieve that, if i am able to do that then i can pass it to my BSP page.

Creating PDF from web template

Hello,
I have question on you who use creating PDF from web templates. We want to implement this opportunity in our company. We know all conditions for implementation but we didn´t see yet the final result for end user. We have SAP BW 3.5. Do you know if it´s possible use (create) some new icon on web template e.g. PDF and via this icon create the PDF file or another user-friendly solution?

Bi call document browser from web template wad 7.0

Hi,
Is it possible to customize the document browser dialog when calling via command "OPEN_DIALOG_DLG_DOC_BROWSER" from web template.
The iframe within the browser has a fixed size, so when opening a document the iframe is always too small and does not change the size, also when changing the size of the document browser window.
Is there a possibility opening the documents in a new window instead of opening in the iframe?
From WAD I have not found any possibility solving this. Maybe it's possible to change the web dynpro. Does anybody know the web dynpro / component for the document browser?

If you have access to an Analogue-DV converter you can use that. Also a DV camcorder which has Analogue IN.
If you have Final Cut Pro installed, you will have the QT component.

BM,
Pop-Up menu format is not dynamic. It is created in the Cells Inspector and can't be modified contingent upon the state of other cells.
You could program a table to list the options available for the previous selection, but it wouldn't be in the form of a Pop-Up.

Problem when exporting Query from Web template to Excel Sheet.

Im encoutering a problem when im trying to export query output from web template to excel sheet.
A popup windown appears when excel sheet opens which reads.."problem cameup in the following areas during load : Cell Value".The report layout appears to be fine but the totals shows unwanted values starting with * followed by number.
Any valuable inputs, what could be the problem. where can i rectify the same.

Thanks for ur time and response but the option u mentioned did not serve my purpose.
The problem seems to be only with pirticular cells.As mentioned earlier the layout appears properly..all the values are seen..but the end result..totals are disturbed.
eg: If the report shows in template the total value :20,668,554...when exported the values is shown as **668553.88000000600000.
So what could be the problem ? any template setting ? global setting to look at ?

NO header detail appears when downloading to excel from web template

When we run our queries via a web template and through the portal we get the results which shows the query title and report details. When we try to download this to excel the header(report title etc. )information doesn't come down but all the rest of the report does. If we go in again and change the variable values for characteristics (query is being changed and run the web template (via portal)again and download to excel the header (report title etc.)the whole report title and report detail now appear. Looking for someone who has resolved this problem.

For anyone who is interested, this was caused by our email client, not BIP.
