How to use the Client_image package

I need to use the client_image package (read_image_file, write_image_file) to do the file upload from my client pc.
we use a digtal camera to take picture and need to use the oracle 9i form webutil to insert into the form and save in 9ias.
Any samples about how I can use the webutil to upload images will be truly appreciated!
Thanks for replying!

Thanks for your reply on Oracle Forums about using webutil to perform image upload in 9i forms.
I just download the new Webutil Demo but I got the error messages:
WUC-015: Your Form must contain the following Bean for this function to be available:

WUC-015: Your Form must contain the following Bean for this function to be available:

WUC-015: Your Form must contain the following Bean for this function to be available:
Oracle.forms.webutil.browser.BrowserFunctions
I have done all the environment config. and things in FAQ
(Make sure the your environment is set up correctly; including issues such as CLASSPATH and ensure it is no longer that 512 characters.
Ensure that the WebUtil object group has been dragged onto the form.
By putting the form into visual view, ensure that you have a window called WEBUTIL_HIDDEN_WINDOW and that it contains a set of WebUtil Java Beans.
If your forms does already contain the WebUtil object group then the cause is likely to be that the triggers used internally by the bean areas are uncompiled (usually because the OLB was subclassed before the library was attached). To resolve the problem try performing a Compile All on your module (ctrl-shift-k))
The errors are still coming out and would you please let me know what I should do to solve the problem and thanks a lot!

  • How to use the FBean package?

    I really haven't a clue what i am doing but using the online help i constructed the following code in my forms "when-new-form-instance" trigger. I then created a bean item in my control block called 'MyBeanArea'. I ran the form and nothing happened, the bean area remained blank. How do i get this thing to work?
    Thanks

    Have downloaded Forms demo 10gr2 and have found that its not been updated and there appear to be lots of discrepancies in the install guide e.g.
    The often referred to forms90 directory in the install notes is now called 'forms' in my installation I believe.
    Modifying orion-web.xml as per installation notes means having to read between the lines e.g.
    <classpath path="%ORACLE_HOME%/forms90/java/f90jdapi.jar" />
    <classpath path="%ORACLE_HOME%\forms90\demos/metadatabrowser/classes" />
    <virtual-directory virtual-path="/formsdemo" real-path="%ORACLE_HOME%\forms90\demos" />The first line is not a correct DOS path (Linux I assume) so this would not be valid would it? Also the 'forms90' directory is no longer valid, its 'Forms'.
    Modifing the web.xml .....
    <servlet>
      <servlet-name>l90servlet</servlet-name>
      <servlet-class>oracle.forms.servlet.ListenerServlet</servlet-class>
    </servlet>had to replace l90servlet with lservlet (is this correct)
    and a number of other similar incidences of this. Only half way through the guide and will finish off tomorrow. Following the install guide as best i can but am a little bit frustrated as i don't understand the changes i am making, ah well hey ho.
    Funny thing is when i run the sample test in my browser which is a blue tick (tick.gif) I eventually got it to work by typing in the following
    http://127.0.0.1:8889/forms/formsdemo/images/tick.gif[\code]
    In the URL "/forms/formsdemo/images/tick.gif" is a directory path but i don't have a directiry called "formsdemo" so how come this seems to work???
    Confused

    Let's say your application module is com.yourcompany.someapp.services.MyService, and let's say you authored a method like the following in the MyServiceImpl.java file:
      public void doSomething(int i, String s) {
      }and you exposed this AM custom method using the AM editor.
    BC4J design time will automatically create you the com.yourcompany.someapp.services.common.MyService interface that will look like this if you go look at the source code:
    package com.yourcompany.someapp.services.common;
    import oracle.jbo.ApplicationModule;
    public interface MyService extends ApplicationModule {
      public void doSomething(int i, String s);
    }To use your custom method from a client, just cast your ApplicationModule to your custom interface like this:
    import com.yourcompany.someapp.services.common.MyService;
      MyService mySvc = (MyService)yourAM;
      mySvc.doSomething(1,"foo");

  • How to use the change log in ODS to track Delta change?

    People say that historical data (like Delta change) in ODS can be tracked in the Change Log.  How to use the change log to track historic data?
    Thanks

    Kevin
    See if it helps
    Every ODS object is represented on the database by three transparent tables:
    Active data: A table containing the active data (A table)
    Activation queue: For saving ODS data records that are to be updated but that have not yet been activated. The data is deleted after the records have been activated.
    <b>Change log: Contains the change history for delta updating from the ODS Object into other data targets, such as ODS Objects or InfoCubes for example.</b>
    An exception is the transactional ODS object, which is only made up of the active data table.
    The tables containing active data are constructed according to the ODS object definition, meaning that key fields and data fields are specified when the ODS object is defined. Activation queue and change log are the same in the table’s structure. They have the request ID, package ID and the record number as a key.
    Data base structure changes

    Thanks,
    Farrukh

    Farrukh,
    I don't know if your error is about a missing class from your custom package, ... what track did you followed to say that?
    To use your package in the implementation of you web service, you should only follow the rules of making a web application: put your package jar in your \lib directory inside WEB-INF/ or your package classes unjared in classes (also in WEB-INF/).
    As I already said, I have doubts that your error should be originated from a missing class from your package, but:
    -try to see the logs (errors?) when you deploy your web service that could give a hint about the problem.
    -try to see if you can access your endpoint through your browser to see if there is a online status
    -display your config/WSDL file, and the steps you did to build your web service.
    regards,
    Pedro Salazar.

  • Gantt chart: Don't know how to use the tooltipkeys and toolkeylabel

    I have a problem. Don't know how to use the tooltipkeys and toolkeylabel. I used jquery to select the gantt bars and on mouse over i was getting the task id "tid" then passing it to adf bean with serverlistener and showing a popup that is adf component with javascript. For positioning of the popup I used a button that has width and height 0 and has position absolute and gets the coordinates of the mouse.
    "div[et]" is a jquery selector that selects all the elements that have attribute et. I noticed that all the bars have that attribute as a few other attributes as well "part"...

    Hi,
    To use tooltipkeys and tooltiplabel in gantt, you can add following code in managed bean
    public String[] getTooltipKeys()
    return new String[]{"columnA", "columnB", "StartDate", "EndDate"};
    public String[] getTooltipLabels()
    return new String[]{"A", "B", "Start Date", "End Date"};
    where , the string array in the ToolTipKeys represents the columns, of the table you have in the gantt component , and the string array in TooltipLabels displays the label you want to display for the table columns.
    In the jsff, you could call the bean methods as follows:
    tooltipKeys="#{GanttBean.tooltipKeys}"
    tooltipKeyLabels="#{GanttBean.tooltipLabels}"

  • How to use the transformation file

    Hello there!
    This message is to ask a question that maybe it could be familiar to you. I want to load data using a .txt file and a transformation file using the import package. Suppose  that the structure of my txt file is:
    Entity,Category,Time,Account1,Account2,Account3
    Ent1,Actual,2010.JAN,289.23,32.43,123.34
    Ent1,Actual,2010.JAN,289.23,32.43,123.34
    Ent1,Actual,2010.JAN,289.23,32.43,123.34
    How could I load this values using a transformation? I know that there exists an option named *MVAL(), but if I use the following syntax in mapping section it doesnu2019t work:
    Account=*MVAL(4:6)
    I read something about accountval, does some boddy knows how to use it?
    Thanks in advance
    regards

    Hi,
    If you are using MVAL statement, then you need to maintain a conversion file also. Its compulsory. Please make sure that you have maintained a conversion file.
    If you are on 7.5 MS, then the statement will work. Please refer to the MVAL statement in the mapping section of the below link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bpc75/helpdata/en/a2/e722bc58404335ada8592cdc8feaca/content.htm
    However, in 7.0 MS, the MVAL works only if the multiple key figures are corresponding to the time dimension. In your case, they correspond to the account dimension. You need to create separate transformation file for each of the key figures and then upload the flat file separately using each of the transformation files.
    Hope this helps.

    example 1:
    String bodyAsString;
    StringBuffer myStringBuffer = new StringBuffer();
    try {
    bodyAsString = (String)getVariableData("BodyString");
    addAuditTrailEntry("bodyAsString1: "+ bodyAsString);
    Pattern pattern = Pattern.compile("goodDay");
    Matcher matcher= pattern.matcher(bodyAsString);
    while (matcher.find()) {
    matcher.appendReplacement(myStringBuffer, "shitDay");
    matcher.appendTail(myStringBuffer);
    bodyAsString = myStringBuffer.toString();
    addAuditTrailEntry("bodyAsString2: "+ bodyAsString);
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    addAuditTrailEntry("Failed+bodyAsString",ex.getMessage());
    I put in code (Source View) the following
    <bpelx:exec import="java.util.regex.Matcher"/>
    <bpelx:exec import="java.util.regex.Pattern"/>
    example2:
    Object temp;
    try {
    temp = ((XMLElement)getVariableData("inputVariable","payload","/ns2:FiscalisMessage/ns2:Body")).getChildNodes().item(1);
    setVariableData("AdjReceipt",temp);
    addAuditTrailEntry("ok",temp.toString());
    catch (Exception ex) {
    addAuditTrailEntry("Failed :",ex);
    I put in code (Source View) the following
    <bpelx:exec import="oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLElement"/>

  • How to use the Forte C++ (SunWorkshop)

    Hello!
    I want to compile the Wine (Windows Emulator) for Solaris 9 (x86). One way is that I install gcc 3.2, and the other is to use the FORTE C++ compiler provided by Sun Microsystems. Now, I have downloaded the gcc-3.2 source code from the sunfreeware.com. But I am unable to install the gcc compiler.
    Please guide me (or any reference) to some easy installation methods for gcc, or else, tell me the way, I could use the Forte C++ compilers, provided by SUN. I am unable to find a way to use the Forte.

    Geeze, a second request on how to make gcc. Guess it's time for me to brush up. :)
    First off, make sure you have the prerequisites installed:
    http://gcc.gnu.org/install/prerequisites.html
    A full install of Sol 9 should have everything on that list above.
    Unpack the gcc source code into a directory, go into that directory and do the following:
    % mkdir objdir
    % cd objdir
    % ../configure
    assuming the configure goes ok do this:
    % make CFLAGS='-O' LIBCFLAGS='-g -O2' LIBCXXFLAGS='-g -O2 -fno-implicit-templates' bootstrap
    then assuming the compiling went ok:
    % make install
    I've compiled gcc before, and it can take several hours. Of course the last time I did it was on really slow machines for gcc 2.7.2, so maybe gcc 3.3.2 is quicker to compile :)
    I'll take this opportunity to say that I've used the gcc package (from http://www.sunfreeware.com/ ) without any problems for quite some time...
    As for Forte C++ compiler, (that's "cc" isn't it?), you should make sure it's in your path before everything else, then try to use it. Or optionally you can set the environment variable CC=<path to your cc compiler>, some applications will use that environment variable (while others do not, but it's worth a try).

  • How to use the same POWL query for multiple users

    Hello,
    I have defined a POWL query which executes properly. But if I map the same POWL query to 2 portal users and the 2 portal users try to access the same page simultaneously then it gives an error message to one of the users that
    "Query 'ABC' is already open in another session."
    where 'ABC' is the query name.
    Can you please tell me how to use the same POWL query for multiple users ?
    A fast reply would be highly appreciated.

    Batch processing usually involves using actions you have recorded.  In Action you can insert Path that can be used during processing documents.  Path have some size so you may want to only process document that have the same size.  Look in the Actions Palette fly-out menu for insert path.  It inserts|records the current document work path into the action being worked on and when the action is played it inserts the path into the document as the current work path..
