How to use the discrete unit delay function with the simulate signal as the input?

Hi there,
I want to use the simulate signal as the input. First, i downsample the input with the downsampler.vi. Then I want to feed the output of the downsampled signal to the discrete unit delay block and display the delayed signal on the graph.
Somehow I can't use the delay block properly, do anyone know how to fix that?T_T

Hi nozombie,
In your VI the Delay VI only delays the measurment for one interation of your simulation loop.  What are the results that you hope to see?

    I'm using LabView 2011 to implement a design system. I want to first downsample the input signal and then go through the discrete unit delay function. However, after the unit delay function, i don't get the right output, is there a way to fix that?
    The input is fixed to be the simulate signal since i'm using it for other implementation as well and i don;t want to change it.

    What u did is exactly what I want except that I want to downsample the simulate signal first before I put it into a delay block.
    I tried what u said, however, it only works for very small frequency such as 0.01 Hz. When I set the input to 10 Hz, the delay block doesn't work at all. For the diagram u have, what is the input frequency u set to the simulate signal?
    The reason I'm use the Express VI is because I use it as the input of the frequency estimation block. So basicly what I'm doing is :
    sine wave ->downsample it->delay the downsampled signal and do some numerical calculation(adding,multipling) ->estimate the frequency of the output signal -> this frequency is used to determin the sample factor in the downsampling process.
    I attached the VI with the downsamped involved
    I can't copy the downsample.vi because I use the evaluation version 30 days for that toolkit .
    I attached the VI for frequency  estimation as well.

  • How to use a mysql built-in function with dataprovider

    hi.
    I want to use a mysql built-in function, for example, MD5() on a column when updating a table with dataprovider.
    Something like this doesn't work:
    MyDataProviderOne.setValue("tablename.field_name", "MD5('some text')");
    How should it be done?

  • How to use mac's full screen functionality with Adobe acrobat XI?

    I recently switched to mac, so font have  much experience with this.
    My adobe reader is missing mac's full screen functionality (the two arrows on right that make mac fullscreen).
    so, if i have three pdfs open, i cannot switch between them using the 4 finger swipe..
    Please note that this is different from the adobe functionality (command + L) which allows it to become fullscreen, but it still occupies the desktop and so, i cannot swipe between different pdfs.

    Hi,
    To access the MIDI ports you will need to call the Windows SDK. To send MIDI commands is relatively easy, here is an example that shows you how to send data to a MIDI controller or keyboard.
    As far as input goes, this is the hard part. There are a series of functions that you need to call to open up the device, set some buffers and and possibly a callback to get notifications on the incoming data.
    Reading MIDI data will not be an easy task, your best bet will be to implement this in a DLL and call that DLL in LabVIEW, there should be some code available o the web.

    Can anybody tell me how to use database look up table function while mapping xsl between 2 nodes.
    I have an XML file coming in and depending on one of XML elements we need to decide which further path to take. But, using this XML element, we need to query database table, get metadata and accordingly take appropriate path. I have written lookup function which returns metadata value.
    Now, the issue is how do I pass the XML element valu as input to look up function? When I tried to drag it to the input node of lookup function, it throws an error like "Maximum number of parameters exceeded"

    If the lookup table is always going to remain the same (e.g. a character generator or something similar) you can place the values in a 2D array constant on your diagram, with the input value as one column, the equivalent as the other. When you need to perform the lookup you use an index array to return all the values in the "input column", search it using "search 1D array" and use the resulting index number to index the other column's data. If the values may change, then it would probably be best to load an array control with your equivalent values from a file.

    When formatting your column to date/time, pick Date & time, and then pick the letter i in the circle to the right. Then scroll down and pick "No time"

    1 - May I know what is this field about (in between our company using material ledger).
    2 - May I know why the value of this field are different between our company period 6 and period 7 for this year? what contribute to it? and is it something wrong with different value between two different period or absolutely normal?

    For your 1st query:
    PUP field in Accounting 1 (if ML is active, Price Determination indicator=3) is the result of Actual Costing Run (CKMLCP) closing entry.
    For your 2nd query:
    In most of the cases the values will be different in Previous Period and Current Period. e.g.Period 6 values are the results of Actual Costing Run (CKMLCP) in 1st week of Period 6 for Previous Period (i.e. Period 5). Period 7 values are the results of Actual Costing Run (CKMLCP) in 1st week of Period 7 for Previous Period (i.e. Period 6).
    The reason for the different values: Price differences, Exchange rate differences, Price/Exchange rate differences from Low lower materials, etc.
