How to use vertical scroll browser in Flex web app?

Hi,
I´m developing a web app with flex3. Web app has linkbar connected to a viewstack,
that contain inside a canvas that change the height property depending on the option
selected on the linkbar. My problem is that, when the viewstack resizes his canvas
and has the height property bigger than the resolution of the web browser, shows a
vertical and horizontal scroll inside de canvas. I need not to show the scrollbars
inside the canvas, I need to show the vertical scroll bar in the general container, I
think in application. I try to set the property verticalScrollPolicy to "off" in the containers
and "auto" or "on" in application. The containers don´t show now the scrolls bar and
application shows an empty vertical scroll bar. I would need to have an vertical scroll
bar working properly in application. Somebody could help me, please.

I could make it work by dragging them to the src folder.
That's exactly what you need to do. After all, they're source files
When you define "src" as the source directory, that's where the compiler will look for classes/packages.
So the package net.xyz.widgets.* resolves to src/net/xyz/widgets/

Hi, there:
Best thing to do is to start with the default login.html page, and then modify it. The login screen is fairly complex and it's easy to just miss a JS function you need to call. To get to default page, you would need to do one deploy (to simulator or whatever), and then look for login.html page in the temporary Xcode or Android project generated from the deployment. It should be under the "deploy" directory in your JDev workspace.
You can also see all the framework JS files and CSS files that way as well.
We have had customers implementing custom login screen so we know it can work, but they all had to start with the default login screen and then modify it.

wanna change to scroll vertically.
well, there is a way using ifram so i cant make alv inside of ifram for make a scroll.
but then, part of header also might be scroll together with data.
so, i'm asking to help is there anybody who can let me know about it?

Hi Suresh,
I had the same problem. The reason is that the result of
select * from wdy_app_property into table p_property_table
where application_name = p_application.
in CL_WDY_MD_APPLICATION=>GET_PROPERTIES_STATIC
for p_property_table-value is not "SCROLLBAR" but " SCROLLBAR".
Here is a workaround: type in the application parameters "SCROLLBAR " instead of "SCROLLBAR".

Please clarify. Is this .as file a class you previously used as a complonentcomponent you now wish to use as the main application?
If the .as file just has variables and functions you wish to access from your Flex app, use:
include "subfolder1/subfolder2/etc/MyASFile.as";
If you want to use classes from the file, do this:
import subfolder1.subfolder2.etc.MyClassName;

How to use a cascading LOV as a Web Services Consumer?
We are trying to populate a prompt programmatically.
Our program is a Web Services Consumer.
As an example we use Island Resorts Marketing
The cascading LOV for City is
Country -> Region -> City
The City object is key-aware to the customer table
The query is
Customer | Revenue
(where) City = [prompt]
In order to make the key-awareness work, we must select the value (rowIndex) from the LOV
When we run our program below, the LOV for City is not populated, as expected since we must first select the Country, then the Region.
The code snippet below shows that the LOV for Country is populated. We have no idea how to go from there.
Any hint will be immensely appreciated.
Let us know if anything is unclear in the code.

Your device can hold apps from multiple IDs, but to update them you have to swicth identities which is time consuming. If possible use only the one ID. If you need to reset the password for your old ID visit My Apple ID.

we use use set functions on heirarchies with aggregate functions mostly .
If you include member_set, Min returns the minimum value of the aggregated data for all members in the member set.
Member_set can include multiple sets separated by semicolons (;).
The list of member sets must be enclosed in {}.
If the member set expression does not specify a precise member or node, the hierarchy referenced must be present in the table, then the member set expression references the current member in the hierarchy in the table. If the hierarchy is not in the table, the function returns the message #MULTIVALUE.
Eg .
1)     Ancestor
=Sum([YTD] ; {Ancestor([Test Hierarchy];2)})
2)     IsLeaf
=[Test Hierarchy].IsLeaf
You can use this function when you want to show your Measure only at lower level .
3)     .Depth
=[Test Hierarchy].Depth
This is also function used with hierarchy to find Level of Members .

Only the main window can have a dynamic heigh, all other windows have a static size: so u make sure the long text can be displayed in the window .

Thanks for your reply. I've narrowed the problem down to this strange behavior only happening when the viewport component is a tree-table (a JTable with a JTree for a column renderer). The tree-table works okay in JDK 1.3, but not in JDK 1.4. When I remove the JTree column renderer, the table draws correctly, but without the tree. It looks like the viewport position is being set wrong somewhere.
When a column is resized, an AdjustmentEvent is created. So that's why resizing the column looked like it had the same effect as the horizontal scroll bar.
If you're interested, then I will be happy to let you know how I fixed it, if I can.
The complete code that creates the scroll pane with the vertical scroll bar on the left is below. There's too much code to post the JTree column renderer.
