How would i do a playlist on fms

Hi there on my fms i would like to get a playlist up so when the stream is not live, a playlist it going with the flv's or f4v that ive uploaded how would i do this can i have advice please ?

On the server side you could create a playlist in the application.onUnpublish function as follows :
application.onUnpublish = function(){
myStream = Stream.get("playlist");
myStream.play("sample",0,-1,true );
myStream.play("mp4:sample1_150kbps.f4v", 0, -1, false);

I have the same issue. While I am sure your solution would work, my playlist has over 6,000 songs and hiting every song to download it is not very practical. Is there another way?

Match the rule "Date Added">"is in the last">"1">"Days" make the days and the interval to suit yourself, you can have days, weeks or months.

How can I shuffle a playlist in iTunes for an iPod so my stereo play a large playlist in a seemingly random order

I have an iPod classic that I plug into my car stereo. My car stereo can play playlists, or if just plug it in, it will play every song in alphabetical order. Once plugged in, I cannot use the iPod to "shuffle". I require a pre-shuffled playlist. I have done this before in iTunes 11 will special instructions, but I've since misplaced those instructions. I know how to build a large playlist of all of my songs. Now, how do I shuffle that list of, say, 20,000 songs, and save to a new shuffled playlist? Don't say it can't be done, because I've done it. I know Apple removed the ability to do this quickly and easily, because obviously Apple doesn't really take their customers wants and needs into account. Otherwise, they would see the thousands of complaints after they removed that feature.
So, is there anyone here that can help me? I don't really need to hear that it's not supported or that it used to work. If you know how to shuffle a playlist and save it in that shuffled state, please post the steps for doing this in Windows iTunes 11.

Just go to Settings, Shuffle, then turn it to Songs. The songs will stay in the same order in the playlist, but they'll switch it up.

When I went to plug my phone into the laptop to sync some new songs and things, it replaced the playlists I had made on my phone with the ones already on the computer. How can I get the playlists that I had made on my phone back? I really don't want to have to recreate all of those playlists...is their any way to retrieve those playlists? Since this is PC version using XP I'm afraid you'll have to check in on the PC side.
Caution: just say your using XP Home and trying out the trial. Don't mention the word Mac. PC folks, would make you regret doing that. As much as its so 80's and 90's for such behavior its still around.

First get iTunes on your PC. Then plug your iPod in and go to the music, yo. You Cannot sync playlist if you select to sync your entire library. But you can sync playlists of you choose to sync selected songs.
You can also create a playlist on your iPod just by holding the center button on a song and select add to "on the go". This " on the go" is a playlist and will be transfers to your PC if you plug your iPod in again.

TA47831 How can I import a playlist to iTunes?

An old article (http://support.apple.com/kb/TA47831) explained how to export an iTunes playlist to an .m3u file and reimport it. This functionality no longer works with the newer version of iTunes (I'm running iTunes 10.6 on Windows 7). This is presumably why the article has been retired and is no longer supported by Apple.
If I export a playlist, change its name, then reimport the result is an empty playlist. Here is an example of one of the lines from the .m3u file:

What I really want to do is to import some playlists that have been generated elsewhere (for example using a script to identify all the US hits of the 1980s with the word "power" somewhere in the lyrics). I figured the easiest way to do that would be to work out what format of playlist iTunes would be able to import and generate one of those, I was somewhat surprised to discover that iTunes can't even import a playlist it has just exported.

How can I keep a playlist on phone when syncing with new computer?

When syncing my IPhone I am prompted with an ominous message that says "Are you sure you want to remove the existing music ... from this phone and sync with this ITunes library? Music .... will be removed and items will be synced from this ITunes library" The answer is no because I have a playlist I would like to keep on the phone, but add one which resides on the computer I am attempting to sync with. That is not an choice presented, the choices are Cancel or Remove and Sync. Apple should either give more options or at least a better explanation. I have synced this phone and computer combination before but have since created a new playlist in the computer (a Mac Mini).
So how can I keep a playlist on the phone and add one from the computer too? Is it possible to view the phone as a drive and move items around in that manner? I use ITunes on both Windows and Mac platforms but this issue has always been problem for me. I also have IPhone 3 (used as an IPod), IPhone 4S and Iphone 5.

Unless you can get the iPod backup file (and restore the iPod from that file on your new computer) from the "dead" computer you will lose all the app data you can export via email.

- You can transfer non-itunes purchased music to the new computer by using one of the third-party programs discussed in this previous discussion.

- After you move the stuff to the new computer, either restore the iPod from the backup, or if no backup, restore to factory defaults,new iPod and sync.

How do I make a playlist of my podcasts in iOS7??

I like to listen to podcasts more than music. How can I make a playlist of all my podcast downloads in iOS7? And how can I do a random shuffle of the podcasts that I have not yet listened to? In the old operating system I was able to do this under iTunes after I removed the apple podcast app (based on advise from another posting). Now I am at a loss and regretting iOS7 upgrade.

Update - So I have found that I can make a random podcats playlist in iTunes on my computer and the playlist shows in the podcast app under "My Stations".
HOWEVER, the random order sort functionality is still not available on the iPhone Podcast app as far as I can tell. Really annoyiong. Still hoping Apple can find it in their hearts to better support Podcasting.
You would think that since the term PODcasting came about because of the first generation iPOD that Apple would care about maintaining this functionality with the iPhone!!???

Whenever I add a new playlist in my iTunes (File > New Playlist), it doesn't seem to appear in my iPod. I tried synchronizing my iPod, because whenever I do so, the songs automatically appear in their appropriate folders (such as My Top Rated, Recently Played, and Top 25 Most Played). I'll show you what my iTunes bar looks like with my iPod connected:

Notice that my "Favorites" playlist does not appear under my Devices/Lush (my iPod's name haha) section.
Also, how do I make a "Recently Added" playlist where I don't have to manually copy and paste my songs? I mean, I know it's under File > New Smart Playlist. But I don't really know how to do it...
I had: Date Added (then there's a bunch of phrases such as 'is', 'is not', 'is after', 'is before'...etc...)
I don't know what it's talking about.

For recently added smart playlist set rule to 'date added is in the last 2 weeks' or any other time you like. 2 weeks is the default. It should have already been created for you.
For you sync problem. I am not sure. You say that syncing starts automatically when iPod is plugged in. This indicates you are set to auto sync, it which case new playlists should transfer automatically. But, if you are set to sync selected playlists then you would have to select the favourites playlist for it to transfer.

If the existing playlist is a regular (non-smart) playlist, then you can edit it directly on the iPhone. Just select the playlist and you should see an "Edit" button at the top, above the songs. I got the same error message yesterday for the first time when I tried to watch the Keynote from Macworld. I was able to access the stream on both my iphone and an older Powerbook running Leopard - so it wasn't my network or Leopard. I tried a few things, and changed my Quicktime streaming preferences to "enable instant on" and changed the streaming speed to the last choice on the drop down menu "1.5 Mbps/T1/intranet/LAN" and it now works ! I don't know whether this was just coincidence or not, but who cares!

connect your Ipad to your Mac, choose MUSIC under your tabs at the top, drag and drop your MP3 music and press SYNC at the bottom to move songs to your Ipad
You have to select the songs in the Music Tab of iTunes when your iPad is connected to your laptop, with iTunes running and after you have selected (clicked on) your iPad name under the devices heading. This will give you an overview of the syncing process.
