Howto migrate workflow

To install ISTUDIO application from dev to integration and then to production, we use the MIGRATE functionnality (after an OAIEXPORT on the target system).
BUT the migrate seems not exist for the WORKFLOW Process Bundle entries in ISTUDIO and this is a problem.
We install the workflow with WFLOAD tool but Interconnect need information on the workflow inside the Interconnect metadata repository.
If we can't migrate does we have to design the workflow Process Bundle by hand in each environment ?

For Netscape Messaging Server migrations, reimplement customized plug-ins.
Since the iPlanet Messaging Server does not support messaging plug-ins, plug-in functionality will need to be redesigned and recoded using features of the new MTA.
The MTA has functions that handle the most common plug-in functions. See "Netscape Messaging Server 4.x MTA Regressions/Changes".

Exchange Migration Workflow down

Using Exchange 2013 CU6 Standard with 2 Server in a DAG. Both Servers with the same Patchlevel. Last night the "Microsoft Exchange Migration Workflow" goes down. When I try to restart the Service goes imidetly down again.

But I cannot find the file report.txt and .XML even if I select to show hidden ítems.
In the active node of the dag, that service is running without problems, but in the other node stops....
or raise Eventid 7031 Service Control Manager:

This raise every 10 seconds... even if I set that service in Manual startup type.
I noticed this when I tried to add a database copy with no success...
Exchange 2013 CU6 and all patch applied until this week.

How to test the migrated workflows in SharePoint 2013

Hi, we are migrated the portal from SharePoint (Moss) 2007 to SharePoint 2013 using Doc Ave tool.
Now my concern is how to test all (OOTB and SharePoint Designer) workflows are working properly in SharePoint 2013.
How to approach? Any ideas/help will be appreciated.

I have customizations to the PO Account Generator workflow that need to migrate from 11i to R12. I've attempted to drag 'n drop and copy/paste between workflow processes, but have been unsuccessful. Does anyone know of a way to migrate changes in a workflow process?

Unable to migrate Workflows

I was trying to migrate site collections along with workflows from 2007 to 2010, but I was unable to migrate. When I was selecting my source it was showing that HTTP not found. Please help me out from this problem.

How to migrate workflow user to upgrade oracle database

hello all,
we are running oracle 8.1.7 on sun solaris machine
and workflow builder 2.5.0.16.4,now we want to upgrade the
database with 9i,can some body please guide me how can we
migrate the workflow user 'owf_mgr' data from 8.1.7 to 9i.
i mean i want to have all the runtime data avaialable to me on
9i as well.

The first thing you need to be aware of is that Oracle Workflow
2.5 is not certified on 9i. You have 2 options:
1) Upgrade to Oracle Workflow 2.6 on 8.1.7 (Workflow 2.6 is a
separate CD in the 8.1.7 CD pack), and then upgrade the database
to 9i.
2) Upgrade the Database to 9i, and then upgrade to Oracle
Workflow 2.6.1 which is included on the 9i Database CD.
When you upgrade the database, all the data in the owf_mgr schema
should be upgraded as well. As always, you would perform a couple
of test database/workflow upgrades before upgrading on your
production box.

Migrating workflows from a 4.7 system to ECC 6.0 system

Hi,
I have workflows in a 4.7 system which will get used in a newly upgrade to ECC 6.0. Has anyone had problems with this? Is it okey to transport
an old workflow to be used in a 6.0 system? What do I have to bear in mind when doing this and is it easier to rewrite the workflow in the new system than to
look for differences between the old and the new system?
If you think that it is okey to change the old workflows - do you have any guide about this? What is different and what do I need to think about. I would
very much like to have your recommendations concerning this.

Howto migrate from ora7.3.4 to 9i

Hi,
We've planned a db migration from an oracle 7.3.4 to a 9i.
All the creation scripts are ready for the 7.3.4, backups as well.
Should I apply those scripts directly and import my backup?
Specific things to change int the mydbinit.ora?

Howto migrate from corrupt 10.4 server to fresh 10.4 server

Ok, I'm screwed, and I really appreciate the help in advance.
I'm not sure what happened, but my 10.4.11 server will not boot into the login screen (or beyond). I have booted from the Install DVD and backed up the HD to an external HD. Then I ran Disk Utility and repaired the disk (which needed the repair), and then repaired permissions.
But the machine still wouldn't boot into the login screen (or beyond). It just gets stuck on a blue screen with a (startup style) pinwheel. I do not have any haxies installed on this machine - its a straight-up headless server.
I can boot into single user mode, and I've tried deleting all of the caches and running the periodic tasks, and everything I can think of.
I've tried zapping the PRAM.
The machine still won't boot into the login screen (or beyond). I've resigned myself to formatting and reinstalling.
The services that I use are web and email... and I have over 100 email users. How do I migrate my users and their emails and the server settings from the backup to the freshly installed server?

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, that resource assumes that I'm migrating from a prior version to 10.4 (I'm migrating from a borked 10.4), and it assumes that I can export settings from a working server (again, my setup is borked, unfortunately).
I know Apple makes good stuff, but I'm surprised that this hasn't happened to anyone else.

HowTo migrate from iMac to Macmini

I just bought a new Mac Mini with 240 SSD + 750 HD storage memory.
I want to use migration assistent to move all data from my old iMac to this Mini Machine.
Of course, to less memory on SSD wich is marked as only choice to migrate data to.
What must I do to migrate all data from iMac to Mac Mini ?

1: CCC clones the OS X partition, he will wind up with a iMac's Snow (or Leopard) on the Mini with a Lion Recovery Partition.
2: Hardware drivers on the iMac OS X are not on the Mini, the Mini could have video or overheating issues, if it boots at all.
You can't clone any old OS X to different type Mac unless you have all the hardware drivers and Apple has tied those to certain disks, and the firmware won't boot from earlier OS X install disks.
In fact it's possible to get Snow Leopard on the new Mac Mini's but latest reports it runs at a reduced speed.

Migrating in-process workflows

Hi all,
New to BPM. May be using 10g or 11g (possibly depending on the answer to this question). If I'm migrating workflows from another system, and a document is currently halfway through the workflow, how easy is it to take across that document and put it in a BPM workflow at the equivalent point in the process? Is it even possible?

Well, in fact, the new client is a copy of another and the background data for the workflow process is already copied. I just need to re-start the workflows but I was wondering if I can do anything easier than do it manually and one by one. Maybe a migration tool to copy "in process" workflows.
Another option is to redefine sub-WF and try to put every WF in his former situation, but the logic of the original WF is very complex so this is not an option.
I know that is very difficult to do that but...who knows!

Workflow Migration including history data and SOST data

Hello to all guru's,
i want to migrate workflow not by copy of mandant but by transport to new destination. (from Netweaver 4.0s to ECC 5.0 )
Actual Workflow is working fine on new mandant, but i miss history data -
SOST data too. Which tables do i have to transport additionally ?
Does anyone has experience in this theme ?

try to change an existing workflow to see how the key looks in transport request (I think it's probably R3TR PDWS #, where # is the workflownumber)
do the same for the workflow tasks (R3TR PDTS?).
Alternatively workflowdefinition are in tables SWD*
As for history data, check the tables which archive object WORKITEM uses (transaction SARA), these are probably the tables to use regarding history data.
Beware however that the way you're doing this is no an advisable one, because you're not sure if all of the tables are present and you'll run into problems related to number ranges etc.

Migration of 2010 workflow to 2013

if we use leading 3rd party tool Quest for migration then how to migrate sequential workflows from 2010 to 2013? will all sequential workflows automatically migrate to 2013 with quest tool or we need to do any further steps? It will be helpful if you say

Do quest tools supports automatic migration of sequntial workflows to 2013 . I think it will run as 2010 workflow only. 2013 introduced stages, do we have to crate those stages?

2010 workflows will still run the same way they did in 2013. The 2010 workflow mode is backwards compatible. If you want the workflows to run in the newer 2013 engine then you'll need to re-write the workflows. There are actions that are
available in 2010 that aren't available in the 2013 mode and vice versa so there is no automated conversion available.
But the Quest migration tool should migrate the workflows with the rest of the site when you migrate it. In general they continue to work, but I do recommend testing since I've seen a few workflows that had problems after upgrade. But the migrated
workflows will run as 2010 workflows in 2013.
