HP 6500 printer not working anymore via Time Capsule

I used a Linksys access point, and all my printers and Airport Express were working fine.
But since I swapped my Linksys WRT160N v2 access point with the Apple Time Capsule, my HP 6500 printer cannot be installed anymore on my iMac.
I have a very flat network :
Telenet router connected to internet, other side : wired Time Capsule (and then wireless to my iMac, iPhones, iPad and Airport Express), wired ethernet switch with wired Brother Laser printer and wired HP 6500 printer. All having fixed IP addresses (except of course the iPhones and iPad).
When adding the HP printer the iMac system finds the printer as "Officejet 6500 E710n-z (59F608)", but gives an error "Unable to communicate with the printer".
And to make it totally weird : I'm perfectly able to address the printer from the iMac via ip address in Safari !!
No double IP addresses are used in the network : swapped the network already several times with different tools.
Regaring the Airport Express, I cannot set it up again, the light flashes and is not recognised anymore.
My biggest concern is the HP printer ... weird ...

Did you completely remove all earlier instances of the printer and even its drivers. If not do so.. after reboot of the iMac download direct from HP any new drivers they may have and reinstall. We have seen it on other occasions.. it is very stubborn if it has any previous setup or drivers.
When you swap the two routers.. are you keeping the old IP addressing scheme.. ie moving TC from its default 10.0.1.1 to the Linksys standard 192.168.1.1 .. as occasionally again.. devices can sometimes be finiky off their default.

I have just purchased the latest Time Capsule and have exactly the same problem with my HP F2280 when printing from my iMac. Very odd. So started surfing the web and it appears we are not alone and there is no easy fix. Anyway it appears the scanner will not work via the TC either, never crossed my mind when I purchased it that I would have such problems. Two thumbs down for TC

I have the latest Airpor Time capsule 2gb. I specifically bought it so that I could have an external hardrive set up to wirelessly house my itunes library and movies. When i connect the drive, all i get is that the disk needs to be repaired.
the drive can works fine when connected to the macbook pro and I have run the verify and repair features in disk utility. I have also reset the airport timecapsule as well following these changes and still no change.
The 7.7.2 update says that it addressed the usb issue of not showing the drives but there are still problems as I cannot get it to appear.

How is the hard drive formatted?
Have you tried using a powered USB hub with the drive when it is connected to the Time Capsule?
(The USB port on the Time Capsule is borderline as far as power is concerned....you may need to use a powered hub.....even if the hard drive has its own power supply)
If the drive is formatted correctly....and....it has ample power, it will "show up" when you open AirPort Utility, click Edit, then click the Disks tab at the top of the next window.
In the example below, my Time Capsule drive is named "Backups" and another drive named "WD Drive" is connected to the USB port on the Time Capsule.
You should see the name of your Time Capsule drive (named "Data" unless you have changed the name) and the name of the USB drive if you perform the same check.
What do you see?

E-print not working anymore

the e-print was always working fine for me.
the last weeks there were some problems, but when I logged in there was a problem with the HP-cloude.
Now I tried again, but e-print is not working anymore AND I can't log in anymore.
when I log in a see my page, but there is always the overlay of the login screen. See the screndump.
I installed new HP-software etc. but nothing helps.
How can I log in again?
Can't see this problem in the list???

then, when I log in I got always the screens as you can see in my firts question.
when I use google chrome with HPconnected.com I stay on the right URL. I can Log in correctly.
I see my printer with a message: Problem with printer look at the immages
second: when I look at the printerscreen and try to connect with the webserver I got the message: Printer can not connected to the server. I can use the printer normally at home. Printer is connected with cable to the network

Printing on HP P1005 via Time Capsule on WinXP Errors

I have installed an HP P1005 laserjet on my MBP and my PC (WinXP)
when I am trying to print locally on each of them (e.g via direct USB plugging)
it works fine.
When I am trying to print via the Time Capsule It works fine for the MBP but doesn't work with the PC. I did the installation on my XP using the Install Printer utility of Bonjour and the printer is being shown the Printer/Fax Control panel but I print anything I am getting an error...
Just wondering if anyone could help out me or suggest me some advice
maybe I am missing a step.

I should add, I believe that other icon you're describing is there because your have manually mounted the HD on the TC. Possibly via the "Connect As.." feature in the Finder window. It seems the system treats mounting the TC disk this way differently than the approach Time Machine uses to mount the disk - Thus the 2 colored icons for the TC. This condition appears to create 2 mount points for the TC drive which Time Machine can choke on when the next backup attempt is made.
Others have run into connection problems when Time Machine attempts to mount the drive for a routine backup but the drive is already mounted manually by the user.
They get either of the error messages,
"The backup disk image could not be mounted".
"The Backup Volume Could Not Be Mounted"
and the Console log will report,
+Network mountpoint /Volumes/Time Capsule not owned by backupd+
So it's a good idea to unmount the TC drive completely so that the next backup will succeed.

Apple TV not working well with time capsule

So, I have an apple time capsule which serves two functions: wifi base station and the repository for my massive iTunes library. I connect this via wifi to my Apple TV (not sure which generation it is). The media seems to play well when I play it on my computer, but the Apple TV has a very hard time playing it, sometimes not even showing pieces of media I know are there. Also, doing airplay from my computer or iPad to the Apple TV is very inconsistent. Also experience the same playing issue with netflix. I have recently resorted to watching most things on my iPad and experience no problems.
Suggestions? One thing that comes to my mind is to do a factory settings reset on the Apple TV. Would that do anything?

It sounds like you have everything set up correctly and you are very aware of how the content should be displayed and played. At this point yes, I would suggest restoring the Apple TV back to factory settings and then joining it back to your network and testing. Apple TV not working since new Time Capsule...Sync

I bought myself a new 1TB Time Capsule yesterday and set it up fairly easily. However, I notice now that I cannot sync my TV to my iMac anymore. It says:
The Apple TV "Living Room Apple TV" is not repsonding.
Check that any firewall software running on this computer has been set to allow communication on port 3689.
Not sure what this means. I have 2 TV's in my flat. 1(160GB) which is wired to my TC and I sync my iTunes to it. The other (40GB) I stream wirelessly to. I have no problem with the streaming one but the message comes when I try to sync the 160GB one.
Anyone with any ideas?

I experienced the same issue with the replacement of an Airport with a 1TB Time Capsule.
FIX: Go to System Preferences/Security/Firewall, then select "Allow all incoming connections".
This was set to "Set access to specific services and applications" on my system when I experienced the same syncing error you reported.

Apple TV not working since new time capsule

hi, i've a new 3TB Time Capsule, I have added it to my Apple Network (with an airport express and older Timecapsule as network extenders). All is fine with internet and back ups etc but my Apple TV's will not play any video over airplay, can you help pls? thanks very much.

Does the apple TV have network access and can you access the itunes store from it??
Is the issue just airplay or is it larger than that?
If it has changed IP or something you might need to shutdown the whole network and all the computers and restart again. Make sure the ATV is available on the local network.
Beyond that another user might be able to help more.. I don't use airplay.

I used the protection plan on my iMac, but it is not working for my Time Capsule...

I recently bought the Apple Care Protection Plan and I got my iMac registered for it. However, I cannot get my Time Capsule, purchased months before the Protection Plan, registered. I did type the serial numbers of both the Plan and the device correctly, but the site cannot register the Time Capsule, I keep getting a system error. Is there a way that I can get the Plan on my Time Capsule too? I could buy another Plan, but I don't think I should spend another $200.00 if it's not necessary. Can anyone explain why my Time Capsule cannot be registered with the plan?

That's correct; it's covered, but you can't register it separately for some reason. (I went through this with Apple a couple of years ago myself.)
Just keep your receipts, preferably with the serial number, in case you ever have a problem.

Macos not starting anymore after Time Capsule restore

Hello, I changed the hard drive of my mac book. Then I restored the system from my time capsule.
When I start my macbook it boots but the process seems to stop after a while.
I made a permissions repair but it didnot help.
Tried to boot in safe mode but did not help.
What can I do?

Software update 6500, device not working anymore!!...

Brought the mobile (6500 slide) yesterday and today its with local dealer for repair.. whats wrong with Nokia software update application!!!!!!
following error pop up during the application launch,

nsl_host_process.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x00e17510" referenced memory at "0x0001c004". The memory could not be "written".

NOKIA service layer host process has encountered a problem and need to close..
application restarted many time and error repeats, once it didn't pop up and error and i started to update the mobile..
during the update windows pop up with found new hardware and there you go,.. previous errors are back and the mobile doesn't respond anymore,...
Operating system Windows XP, and matching all the configuration requirements according to Nokia,
anyone had a remedy for this??? does anyone ever did firmware upgrade nokia 6500 using software update application??

Its solved. i guess it was all related to Windows Problem or anti virus Problem.
XP re installed and the software works just fine..however the mobile is already with the local dealer for update the firmware. will do it again once it back on my hand!!!.

MG 5350 printer not working anymore.

I recently purchased the MG5350 series printer and after setting it up it worked perfectly. A few days ago I was trying to print from my iPad and it said no printer is available. My desktop computer also said the same message: "THE PRINTER IS NOT CONNECTED."
I have looked through the settings and the printer says it is currently on the same network as our other devices, but still not printing. Please help!!

CP2025- Duplex printing not working anymore

I have been using for more than 8 month my CP2025 in duplex with very good results.
Nontehless, this last month I had only problem.
Printing in duplex, I have the first page well printed, and on the second page, it prints only the fist leaf and then stops. I have a message indicating a misprint (with no other information), I press OK, it restars for 2 pages.
That is very ... annoying.
Anybody had this problem?

The standard HP ePrint feature does not support Duplex printing, I would assume that the same applies for HP ePrint Enterprise:

Canon LBP6200 Printer not working anymore after update to 10.6.7

i dont know if this is to do with mac osx or canon's printer
i try reinstall the driver but it just dont work

I bought a Canon LBP3100 three weeks ago. It was working fine until I updated to 10.6.7 this morning. I spent a good part of the day talking to Canon and Apple support. It is clear there is an issue with the driver under the latest operating system. Canon said they didn't even know there was an update out and hadn't a clue when a fix will be available. Apple advised me to reinstall 10.6.6 which I am reluctant to do. In the meantime I'm left without a useable printer in my office. So much for customer service. Something has gone badly wrong somewhere.

Guest Network Not Working On Airport Time capsule

Whenever I enable the guest network and join it, it joins fine. but it wont load any webpages or the app store, or anything. all the devices im trying to connect, connect to the guest network fine. but they just wontt get wifi signal from the TC.
I can get the normal and 5GHz network to work.
I have the TC router connected to a Tp Link modem and setup as its own network.
If i change the router mode on the TC to DHCP and NAT it works but the amber light flashes on the TC which annoys me. then it stops working and i end up having to change under network in airport utility to off (bridge mode)
Please help somebody???

Check the client is getting proper DNS address .. there is a bunch of bugs..
The main bug is that guest network does not actually work when the TC is in off bridge mode.. it looks like it is going to work but it doesn't.
The TC must be the main router of the network..
So bridge your TP-Link and use PPPOE client in the TC if that is allowed by your ISP.
Or simply ignore the double NAT and then the light will go green and not bother you any more..
Or an even better solution.. use the TP-Link wireless for guest.. and use the TC in bridge for main network.. there is nothing wrong with doing that.. and in fact it will work far better since guest network is still sharing the wireless on the TC and slowing it down.
