HP 8500 "do not align" still keeps aligning..... unsuccessfully

I jammed a sheet of labels in my HP 8500A printer.  The sheet came out without missing any sections and printer said it needed to align.  Alignment failed. Everything however continued to print fine, I just had to click "do not align" before each page printed.
THEN the power blinked and I had to replace an ink cartridge.  (I have ALWAYS used only genuine HP ink cartridges)  Now the printer continually tries to align and even when clicking "do not align", it still aligns unsuccessfully.  After reading several blogs and watching several You Tube videos and going through about 50 sheets of paper, physically cleaning printheads, recalibrating, etc, and installing $100 worth of all new colors of ink, I'm very frustrated.  I get that this printer has a major issue with this problem, but I still don't want to toss a perfectly good printer (with $100 worth of new ink in it) if I could just get the alignment feature disabled.
I run a business and have always been very loyal to HP, but I'm reconsidering unless this gets working quickly.  I've already lost most of a day on this.  PLEASE help with useful posts.  Thank you.

  • Paragraphs do not align to grid

    Hello there:-)
    I created a baseline grid of 6pt, body text 12pt, head lead 12pt, space before and space after 12pt and 6pt. In one chapter, everything aligns, in the second one the paragraphs do not align. I'm going back and forth the paragraph style to change the space before and after of the head, but everything is still the same. What am I doing wrong?
    Any help is appreciated.

    I think you're right. Could you please give an example of how to do this "Unless the total of the leading, space before, and space after total an increment of 12 you'll be off grid."? I just need to see some numbers to see whether I can correct this.
    Many thanks.
    Well, in all honesty there's no way to do this so that you always have grid alignement and consistent spacing between the headings and and the body text unless they all use a leading value that's a multiple of 12 and all space before/space after is also a multiple of 12 (or whatever number you've chosen for the leading or the body text).  As soon as you introduce an odd number you're going to wind up with a larger space below a heading (usually at the top of the page), or a misalignment.
    On the other hand, if youy keep everything in multiples of the same body text leading value, you don't need a grid to maintain alignment.

  • ICal Week view, Date is not aligned with the Time(schedule) of each date

    Well, just like it says over there (`` ). I've recently been to China for a business trip, and I suppose the different time zone may have had something to do with the problem. Now I'm back home, changed the time zone back to normal, still the iCal shows in the weekly view that the Date on the above is not aligning with the Time and schedule. Any suggetions would be grateful!!!

    Hi,
    i omit the scheduling maergin key in material master,
    the result of MRP is
    BASIC DATES
    Finish 15.10.2009
    Start 14.10.2009
    PRODUCTION DATES
    15.02.2010 14:33:25
    14.10.2009 07:00:00
    scheduling type i planned order is still "backwards"
    so in MD04 it is say that the goods is available at 15.10.2009 same with requirement dates.
    this seem not right.
    it seems that order finish date is not adjusted by lead time scheduling on "today scheduling".
    Is there a way so order finish date is adjusted by lead time scheduling on "today scheduling" ????

  • PanelLabelAndMessage not aligned in hierachical viewer until node is clicke

    Hi,
    I am using the DVT Hierarchical Viewer. Using the code below (which is similar to the the demo code). The Labels column is coming out zig-zagging (not aligned to the right) but the OutputText column comes out aligned correctly to the left. Once I select (put focus on the node), the label column aligned correctly.
    Can someone please tell me what I need to so that the nodes will render with the label column aligned.

    Thanks for the suggestion David.  I tried that this morning but the issue still remained.  Are there any known issues with the latest 3.3 patch and the viewer?
    As an added note, the issue is not browser specific.  It happens in both IE and Firefox.
    Thank you.

  • Printing 4 up 6x9 pages on 11x17 and not aligning up

    Trying to print 4up 6x9 pages on 11 x 17 paper duplex. Indesign layout is exacetly the same for all the pages. When I print the odd page is not aligned up with the even page. Example the header and bottom page number doesn't align up with the side of the page.
    I even printed one page first and feed it back in the printer to print the next page. It's close but still off a little bit.
    Can someone tell me if I'm missing something here or what my layout is not setup.
    I appreciate it.
    Thank you.
    Aloha

    While Eugen is coorect about what I'm asking, his solution may not work on every printer. Even relatively expensive commercial printers like the Minolta BizHub series and similar products from other vendors don't have the same sort of sheet-to-sheet tolerance for alignment that yo will find with a printing press because they use differnt technology for moving the paper through the machine.
    It's not unusual to see drift through a long run of up to 3mm or .125 inch overall acros both the length and the width of the page when working with digital printing equipment. In general that's within the machine tolerance specifications (+/- 1.5 mm) for page-to-page registration, and the only thing you can do is design to account for the possibility and use margins large enough to hide a discrepancy.

  • Subcircuit pins do not align with grid and will not connect

    I have two identical subcircuit symbols.  One is just fine, but the other has pins that do not align with the MS grid, and one that will not even connect.  MS12.0.0.
    This one is fine:
    This one pins are off grid.  The circled one will not connect.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi,
    I have been experimenting a bit with this. One thing you can try is open the Symbol Editor, select the pin which is not connecting and then from the spreadsheet view, change the Shape to Zero-length Pin. Then try to see if you can connect the pin in the design. It will not appear as a line but you should still be able to connect to it.
    If this does not work, you can open a service request and we can try to see how to resolve the issue.
    Hope this helps.

  • LIBFML_CAT:1: ERROR: Fielded buffer not aligned

    Hi,
    Can anyone help me with this error.
    LIBFML_CAT:1: ERROR: Fielded buffer not aligned
    I receive this error while initializing a FML32 buffer. Following is the code snippet
    tempBuf=(FBFR32 *) tpalloc("FML32",NULL,(FLDLEN32)Fneeded32(19, sizeof(vi_t)));
    if (tempBuf == NULL)
    printf("\nError allocating tempBuf<%s>\n", tpstrerror(tperrno));
    exit(1);
    if (Finit32(tempBuf, (FLDLEN32)Fneeded32(19, Fsizeof(tempBuf)) == -1))
    printf("\nError initializing tempBuf<%s>\n", Fstrerror32(Ferror32));
    exit(1);
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Here are some observations on this code snippet:
    1) There are parentheses missing on the Finit32() line so the second argument to Finit32() is
    (FLDLEN32)Fneeded32(19, Fsizeof(tempBuf)) == -1 .
    Thus, the second argument will be 0 if Fneeded32() succeeds and will be 1 if Fneeded32() returns -1.
    An Finit32() buflen argument of 0 will result in a -1 return with Ferror32 set to FNOSPACE and an Finit32() buflen argument of 1 will result in a -1 return with Ferror32 set to FALIGNERR (since 1 is not a multiple of 4.) This is why you are seeing the FALIGNERR problem.
    2) This code is using 32-bit FML, but Fsizeof() is a 16-bit FML function (assuming that you have not included <fml1632.h>.) Since tempBuf is an FML32 buffer, attempts to use 16-bit FML on this buffer will return -1, which means that a -1 length will be pased to Fneeded32, which will return -1, and -1 == -1, so a second argument of 1 will be passed to Finit32.
    3) Changing Fsizeof(tempBuf) to Fsizeof32(tempBuf) would still result in code with problems, since Fsizeof(tempBuf) is greater than sizeof(vi_t). Thus, the seond Fneeded32() will return a bigger size than the first Fneeded32(), which will result in initializing memory past the end of the buffer. As stated on the Finit32() manual page (modified for 32-bit FML) "The correct way to reinitialize a buffer to have no fields is: Finit32(fbfr, (FLDLEN32)Fsizeof32(fbfr));".
    4) It should not be necessary to call Finit32() immediately after tpalloc() since tpalloc() will have initialized the FML32 buffer.

  • Tabs not aligning in cs6

    Have three lines of text formatted with tabs giving 4 columns of numbers, no tab on first column which is descriptions. Text has a paragraph indent. Using soft returns to carry tab attributes through paragraph. Also using 'indent to here' character on first line. Tabs do not align. Have to insert an additional tab in place of 'insert to here' for numbers to align. Previous versions did not have this problem. Anyone else encountered this?

    Judging from the tags on the original post, this is a Mac file,
    Oof. Yup, that'd be a Mac file. Bowie, it might be useful to do that even though you know it's a new file - you could tell us exactly which version of CS6 you are using, e.g. 8.0.1.406
    (Joel, it seems your tabs setup doesn't quite match that of Bowie.)
    You're right, Tom - I would have thought that the differences were insignificant.
    Either there is something that I am missing (I hammered this sample out in fifteen seconds, it's quite possible that it's still not an accurate recreation) or perhaps this issue is be platform-related. Also, I'd want to second Mike's suggestion here - is there any way you can post this file (or a file that recreates the issue without sharing any proprietary info) to something like Dropbox?

  • Graph Data does not align with the axis label

    Hi,
    The graph data does not align with the axis label when
    datetimeaxis is used.

    (in the using parseFunction property example) when you hover on the

    Can somebody help me with this.

    Hi All
    Thanks for looking into it.
    Actually we have just added a field GJAHR (was missing in the extractor) so that it takes data accoring to fiscal yr. Actually we had a issue that the Business area for a particular vendor 'X' and doc no 'Y' was showing incorrectly (similar to that of yr 2008) but it changed this yr and the extractor was still picking Business Area for yr 2008.
    So we added GJAHR field so that it takes correct Business Area. we have checked in R/3 Extractor checker and it shows correctly.
    But that change has not reflected in BW yet even after replicating datasource.
    I hope i have made you all understand the situation.
    Thanks for your help

  • Audio Not Aligning

    Hello,
    When I preview my simulation in Captivate 5.5, the audio (Pauls voice by the way) aligns exactly as I've set it.  However, when I publish it, it's a mess - not aligned at all.  I tried to demonstrate this to a co-worker, and wouldn't you know it, of course it was fine, didn't do it at all.  When I tried it again, it was totally messed up - and I've not edited a thing.  I've published it, previewed it in IE, and nothing, it is still messed up.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks a whole lot,
    Chris

    I replied hastily, David, and missed your point; as I explained in my 2nd post, I am trying to line up stills already on the tracks. I am familiar with the Browser or Viewer tranfers, but I am aligning stills which once were in sync and have now drifted asea.
    The subject has aroused little interest, only 43 souls have visited so far, and the post is floating off into second-page land. So it would seem likely that there is no desired short-cut and I must continue to drag my pictures reluctantly into line.
    Again, thank you for the reply. I shall labor on and wait patiently for FCPC. Or M.

  • Week No. on new P45 forms does not align and prints outside the ...

    The new P45 sapscript (HR_GB_P45_A4_D & HR_GB_P45_A4) does not align the Week number within the box of the pre-printed HMRC stationery. The week number appears on all three forms (1/1A, 2 and 3), being page 1,2 and 3 of the sapscript, and all are printed out of their appropriate box.
    Has anyone else encountered this problem ?.
    I can correct this as we currently use a Z version of the sapscript. I have checked the Z version (a recent copy) of the SAP original sapscript to ensure that the original will also have a mis-alignment, which it does. However, despite changing this I would still like SAP to correct their mistakes. I must admit I am VERY surprised that nobody else has encountered this problem as any week number being displayed on either the HR_GB_P45_A4 or HR_GB_P45_A4_D form will not align correctly.

    P45 form printing to tray 1,2, and 3.
    On a slightly related subject we occassionally find that our lexmark three bin printer seems to forget it's bin setup and every now and then the pages will come out on the wrong HMRC pre-printer stationey. We have double-checked the paper loaded and we ONLY have the P45 form 1/1A in try 1, form 2 in tray 2 and form 3 in tray 3. However, despite this it still occassionally goes wrong, with the form 1 and 2 printing to tray 2 and form 3 printing to tray 3. This normally happens after a long weekend, so I don't know whether this is a printer driver caching problem or suchlike. Has anyone had any similar problems?.

  • Note alignment in score

    With Logic Pro when I want to do a score (it has to be perfect, for publication), sometimes the notes aren't aligned correctly within the same staff, especially when I'm using polyphonic voicing. This occurs most often with whole notes one on top of the other. When I use the graphic pointer to see if they are shifted they are all on zero. Furthermore, often they appear to be aligned in the score display but when I print out the score or save it to PDF the notes in certain bars are not aligned (it's a slight difference, but not good for a score that must be published). Can someone help me out? Thanks.

    I was about to send a Logic song (although I actually haven't quite understood how to get people's email address on this forum and add attachments). In order to prepare it I opened a new song, then cut, copied and pasted a segment of the organ track that had the problem, and in the copy of that segment the notes were aligned! Then I did the same thing on the original, and after cutting and pasting the segments back together, the notes actually adjusted themselves. I think I'll try that on all the other songs that have the same problem and see if it works out... So, thanks anyways! I'll keep you all posted on whether it works or not.
    Maybe this phenomenon could also be caused by the fact that the original songs from which I was working (then copied and re-elaborated with Logic pro)were done in another version of the program (Logic Express and Logic 4.7 on 2 other computers)? Who knows?
